'Input data length not a multiple of blocksize' error in CUP

Hello All
I receive the error below when trying to configure CUP. I got this error whilst trying to define the password for the RFC user created in the Connector screen in CUP. CUP doesn't accept the SAP password maintained in SU01. CUP only allows a 4 character password but SU01 is configured to only accept 8 characters. Full error message below.
'com.virsa.ae.commons.utils.StringEncrypter$EncryptionException: Input data length not a multiple of blocksize.'
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Hi All,
This issue is in Version 5.3 SP 7.1 of CUP. It occurs when we are trying to change the password for the CUP connector.
Please note that testing the connectors within the Content Administrator --> Maintain JCO Connections screens works fine and the risk analysis from RAR also works without issue. However, whenever we attempt to enter the password for CUP connecotr setup, it returns an error saying "Action Failed" with the 'Input data length not a multiple of blocksize' error showing in the trace logs.
We seem to be able to store a password of 4 characters e.g. 1234 but this then naturally fails the connection test.
Can anyone suggest a parameter setting to check or a resolution for this particular issue?
Thanks,
Simon

    javax.crypto.IllegalBlockSizeException: Input data length not a multiple of blocksize
    i have written following code for decryption.
    public String decrypt( String encryptedString, String encryptionKey )

    This code was working fine in CE 7.1 . After migrating to CE 7.1.1 it started giving this error.

    Thank you for your answer
    how the code is usedI have hardcoded key, example
    byte[] key = "123456789abcdefg".getBytes();and String for crypt (Example, String in = "green";)
    Then I encrypt string in with code above (in qwestion body) and get exception IllegalBlockSizeException: Input data length not a multiple of blocksize
    String encrypt(String in) throws Exception{
      String out="";
      byte[] key = "123456789abcdefg".getBytes();
      Cipher ecipher = Cipher.getInstance("AES");
      ecipher.init(Cipher.ENCRYPT_MODE, new SecretKeySpec(key, "AES"));
      byte[] utf8 = in.getBytes("UTF8");
      byte[] enc = ecipher.doFinal(utf8);
      out = (new sun.misc.BASE64Encoder().encode(enc)).toString();
      return out;

  • Input Date does not work correctly In dynamic region

    Hello everyone.
    I created a view with a dynamic region. When switch to a region with Input Date components, if I click the "Choose Date" button, this region will exit to default region without any error message.
    The component works well in default region but not in regions switched by Link.
    I tried it in a completely new application and i am sure there is no any problem except the component and the region themselves.
    SO, if someone tied doing this and know what cause it and how to fix it?
    Edited by: 1007000 on 2013-5-20 下午8:49

    Well, i find out the problem. I set the managed bean of the region backing scope, and Input Date is a server-side component. So the taskflow id will lost when i click the Choose Date button.
    change the scope to pageflow, and it works.

  • Display error messages in Visual Composer if Input Data is not valid

    Hi,
    We developed a small iView with a single input field FO (Factory Order).
    The output is a table with some fields corresponding to the given FO.
    My requirement is if the given FO (Factory Order) has no data then the table should not be displayed, instead a message should be displayed saying
    'No Data is found' and stop the program.
    Please reply soon if anyone has got a solution.
    Thanks,
    Shashidhar

    Hi
    You can use <b>guard condition</b> of the event to check whether input field(FO) has data or not. When the input field is empty , you can open a <b>pop-up iView</b> displaying "No Data is found" and when the input field has data , you can execute your service to produce the table output.
    If, you have any more doubts, revert back

  • Problem with input data format - not "only" XML

    Hi Experts,
    I have problem with input data format.
    I get some data from JMS ( MQSeries) , but input format is not clear XML.
    This is some like flat file with content of XMLu2026.
    Example:
    0000084202008-11-0511:37<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Document xmlns="urn:xsd:test.01" xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance Sndr="0001" Rcvr="SP">
    ...content....
    </Document>000016750
    Problems in this file is :
    1. data before parser <? xml version="1.0"> -> 0000084202008-11-0511:37
    2. data after last parser </Document> -> 000016750
    This data destroy XML format.
    Unfortunately XI is not one receiver of this files and we canu2019t change this file format in queue MQSeries ( before go to XI) .
    My goal is to get XML from this file:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <Document xmlns="urn:xsd:test.01" xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance Sndr="0001" Rcvr="SP">
    ...content....
    </Document>
    My questions:
    1. Is any way or technique to delete this data 0000084202008-11-0511:37  in XI from this file ?
    2. Is any way to get only XML from this file ?
    Thanx .
    Regards,
    Seo

    Hi Buddy
    What is the XI adapter using?
    If you use inbound File adapter content conversion you could replace these values with none and then pass it to the scenario.
    Does that help?

  • Data Federator data source not available causes Universe Connection error

    I created a Data Federator project that connects to 20 servers across US and Canada.  All data sources are SQL Server 2005.  The DF project maps 40 source objects into 4 target objects.  I created a universe based on the DF project and we have been quite pleased with Webi query response.  Today one of the source servers was taken off line and this generated a connection error when trying to access the universe (not trying to access the data source that failed).  We do not want the universe connection to error when one source server is not available u2013 is that possible?
    If the answer is no then I see us abandoning what appears to be a great solution for real time distributed reporting and resorting to ETL and moving data.

    Hi Chapman,
    Can you be little elobrate on what you have done to solve the issue.

  • Error with bc4j input date tag running a Jsp file.

    when im running the bc4j input date tag in a form, a jscript error comes up (object not found error)-> When i pick the date control. I have already checked the cabo directory and all files is there. The same enviroment in other developers PCs works well.
    Have you got that error?
    how can i fix it?
    The calendar never comes up.
    Thank u

    The none value is only shown when the field accepts null values.

  • Input Date display and submit formats

    I need to insert Timestamp into the Oracle database table field.
    My particular EO attribute is of type "Timestamp", so that I can insert the Date with time. Also in the control hints format is "dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm:ss a"
    The problem is that I just need to show only the Date without time in my table cell using input date.
    If change the format in the control hints then I am unable to insert timestamp.
    I also see there is a af:convertDateTime component inside af:inputDate.
    Can some show easy path to achieve this?
    In short how to display only selected date but to insert actual timestamp.
    I use JDev. 11.1.1.3
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the concern.
    But if I use "af:convertDateTime" and set pattern to "dd/MM/yyyy" to achieve showing date only I will loose the timestamp to be inserted.
    Basic requirement is to show date only and insert real timestamp using input date, also note that I insert timestamp on another user action after the user change the input date value.
    I feel like this can not be achieved with single input date in ADF. Am I right? Or is there a way?
    Please help.

  • Not able to input data in query analyzer

    Hi buddies,
    I am working on IP.I have created a input ready query.For few values of company code there is no transaction data available,but it should show us blank so that I can atleast punch data.I am able to punch data for company codes for which transaction data is avilable .For remaining company codes for which transaction data is not availbale it is showing yellow coloured rows not allowing to input data.
    Solutions would be really appreciated.This is high priority issue.
    With regards,
    Lalitha

    Hi,
    1) if you have no transaction data, it will not show you the company codes, unless you select in your query definition "master data' instead of posted values in the query properties (for company code)
    2) yellow lines are subtotals.... To enable it input ready
    - set query to input ready in query properties
    - set row to plannable in query properties
    - very important: make sure each characteristic of your aggregation level has a unique value either in the filter definition or in the definition of your rows or columns. If not, your query will not be plannable

  • Adobe form not saving user-input data into saved pdf file

    Hi forumers,
    I'm a new abap developer and I'm tasked to create an interactive adobe form that will require the user to input data in the form.
    No data is passed and received from PDF, but PDF has to be u2018Fillableu2019. I am able to fill out the form but when I actually save the form, it will be saved as a blank form again. I've seen the relevance of the  LS_DOCPARAMS-FILLABLE = 'X' on this forum and I have incorporated it in my code. But how should I code the abap program to enable to save the user input as well into the form.

    Not quite yet, I have to say...
    If you check the domain "FPINTERACTIVE", you'll see these values:
                   Print Form
    X     Interactive Form with Additional Usage Rights
    N     Interactive Form Without Additional Usage Rights
    F
    So, you are not providing "additional usage rights" (Adobe Form Credentials), meaning there could be a problem when you want to use those forms in a Production environment.

  • Start screen does not exist in batch input data

    I'm using .NET Connector calling Rfc_Call_Transaction funtion throught a proxy, i stablished all the params as you can see in the code below, but i get the message cited in the subject 'Start screen does not exist in batch input data'.
    What do you think is happening? or Where can i get the samples needed for perform this type of request?

    Jose,
    I imagine you are passing, for the Dynbegin parameter of the private method FillBDCDATA, invalid values.
    Why don't you try this way:
    tblBDCDATA.Add(FillBDCDATA("SAPMKBUA", "X", "0111", " "," "));
    tblBDCDATA.Add(FillBDCDATA(" ", " ", " ", "BDC_OKCODE", "/00"));
    tblBDCDATA.Add(FillBDCDATA(" ", " ", " ", "BPDY-BLDAT", "30.12.2004"));
    tblBDCDATA.Add(FillBDCDATA(" ", " ", " ", "BPDY-VERSN", "0"));
    tblBDCDATA.Add(FillBDCDATA(" ", " ", " ", "FMPS-FIKRS", "ente"));
    tblBDCDATA.Add(FillBDCDATA(" ", " ", " ", "BPDY-JAHR", "2005"));
    I hope I could help you.

  • EPM SP18 does not recognize input data

    Hi,
    we migrated from EPM SP12 to SP18 and face the following problem. When I open a report full of input sheets in order to save data I received from a company without any access to BPC, EPM does not recognize the input data. The data is still there in the input cells, but not recognized as new data.
    When I refresh the same report my input cells are empty and now I can type in the values manually and save it. EPM does recognize the data.
    Is this only SP18 behaviour?
    Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!
    Sandra

    HI Andy,
    yes this is right. The sheet is offline. But as soon as you log on it is automatically set to online mode again. The input data is still there then, just not recognized as data to be saved...
    Thanks
    Sandra

  • ONC/RPC XDR fragment length is not a multiple of four

    Dear friends,
    I am using SUN RPC for the communication between a client and a server. But, sometimes, i am getting an error message saying *"ONC/RPC XDR fragment length is not a multiple of four"*. What could be the reasons for it and how to remedy it ?
    Thanks,
    Subhash

    Yes, the Sun RPC protocol is 4-byte-aligned, as the message suggests/
    Do you have some control over the streams that ONC/XDR is using? If so, check your code, flushing, etc. Otherwise this looks like a buf in the library.
    I think all your questions about this should be posted where you got the software, not here: this is a general Java programming forum, fundamentally about the JDK.
