Input Field with multiple selection
I am planning to add an input field to my BSP application.
I have already implemented a self-made F4 help for it.
But now my customer wants a multiple-selection for it (as in the workbench, when you display the content of a database table).
Is there anything I get for free, or do I have to implement this all on my own?

Validate a input field with multiple values.
Hi,I have to restrict decimal values for a input text field that is "Number"
When i click on SAVE it will say, that decimal values are not allowed.
This part is fine. But the problem is that when i save multiple entries(batch save). It validate the first row only and then as per the first row value it throws exception.
I am using this piece of code to fetch values of "Number".

Yes sir. It w was really hard to explain. It is discontiguous segments that are separated by transparent areas. And I want those non transparent areas to be on their own layer. I have a photo shop file that has a bunch of buttons on them and they are on a transparent background. It is one layer. I want to select all the buttons and put them on their own layers. I can do this manually by selecting a button and cmd Just to a new layer, but when I have 200 buttons it is a daunting task.

I am new to webdynpro and my requirement is to create a table with multiple selection on.I have to add abt 10 rows in the table but only 5 rows should be visible and moreover a verticalscroll should be available to view other rows.Can anybody explain me in detail how to do that.Please reply as if you are explaining to a newcomer.Reply ASAP as i have to do it today.

1. Create a value node in your context name Table and set its cardinality to 0:n
2. Create 2 value attributes within the Table node name value1 and value2
3. Goto Outline view> Right click on TransparentUIContainer>Apply Template> Select Table>mark the node Table and it's attributes.

5.Set Visible Row Count to 5
6.ScrollableColCount to 5
In your implemetaion, you can add values to table as follow:

ele.setValue1(<value>);
ele.setValue2(<value>);
wdContext.nodeTable().addElement(ele);
The above code will allow you to add elements to your table node.

JS error while using input fields with type=file on XP SP2
Hi all,
we found a new problem in applications which use input fields with type=file running in a browser on Microsoft Windows XP with SP2.
A typical test layout might look like:

When you add a link without the fully qualified path (for example pic01.jpg instead of c:\pictures\pic01.jpg) and click on the 'Send' button, nothing happens and you get a Javascript error 'Access denied'.

How to set focus on a input field in a selected row of a table?
In a previous discussion (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3564789) I asked how to access an input (sap.m.Input) field of a selected row in a table. In the answer that was supplied I was shown how to get the items of the table. Then using the selected index to get the selected item get the cells. Then I could set editable on the proper cell(s). This worked fine.
Now I need to set the focus on one of the fields. I tried something like this:
var oNewLink = table.getSelectedItem();
var oNewLinkName = oNewLink.getCells()[1];
oNewLinkName.focus();
But this doesn't seem to work.
I have searched through other discussions and have seen this technique for putting focus on a field if you have its ID:
sap.ui.getCore().byId(id_of_the_input_field).$().focus();
In my case though I do not have an ID since the row and its cells are generated. How can I set focus on the cell of a certain row in a table?Hello Venkatesh. Yes that code does work. First I tried it on a table cell that was already rendered and it did work. The next time I tried it on a table row that was being added and it did not work there. So I added an on after rendering function for the table and added that code there. That did not work until I added a delay (timeout) to do a context switch before calling the focus and that worked.
Once last thing though sometimes when I call focus on an input field (actually in a table row cell) if the field has text in it already the flashing cursor is at the beginning of the text and other times it is at the end of the text (which is the desired way). It depends on where I click in the row. Is there anyway to make sure the flashing cursor is at the end of the text when the focus is applied to a field that contains text? -

That said, your design is bad. Java code belongs in Java classes, not in JSP files. Database access logic belongs in a DAO class. Business and controlling logic belongs in a Servlet class. Only presentation logic belongs in the JSP file. Avoid scriptlets as much as possible and use JSP EL and/or JSTL instead. -

Add input field with date salector inside a TableView
Im trying to build an user interface for my ones step-screen flow command, this user interface needs a TableView and for each row i need an input field with date selector.
Ive been trying to use de DefaultTableViewModel as the model for my TableView. I create a method to build my vector with the data for my DefaultTableViewModel as follow.

But when I Display my user interface the TableView shows a string that I thing is a reference of the Input and the TextView inside my TableView instead of showing the components.

i was trying the multiple selections part by the command list, but if i select 2- and more it does nothing (i'm using if x is y then *linebreake* else if ...)
