  • Mapping Input Parameter renders mapping unable to be compiled or deployed

    Hi there. I have an interesting issue I have not encountered before.
    I can create a new mapping with a Mapping Input Parameter (just one parameter of type Integer), map this to a table column of the same type and the mapping compiles and deploys without any issues.
    However, if I take an existing mapping (which already compiles and deploys without issues), add a Mapping Input Parameter to it (just one parameter of type Integer) and map this parameter through to a table column of the same type, when I compile the mapping I get a pop-up "Warehouse Builder Error" with a number 56 and a red cross. The mapping cannot generate any code and gives no explaination. Trying this on a different mapping causes the same issue but with a different number in the pop-up.
    I have tried changing the parameter from integer to another data type and this makes no difference.
    Removing the Mapping Input Parameter makes the mapping compilable and deployable again.
    Am I missing something here ?
    Thanks
    Paul

    Ok... this could be a bug, but I worked out how to resolve the issue.
    To get the issue:-
    1. Open a mapping which does not have a Mapping Input Parameter and compiles and deploys happily
    2. Add a Mapping Input Parameter object, add an output attribute to it and map it to a table column.
    3. Compile the mapping and you get a "Warehouse Builder Error" pop-up with a number, then a Validation Completed Successfully message. But no code can be generated and the mapping
    cannot be deployed.
    4. Slap your forehead and say "Doh!"
    To fix the issue :-
    1. Open the same mapping
    2. Resynch the tables you mapped the Mapping Input Parameter to. The mapping now compiles and deploys ok.
    3. Pat yourself on the back

  • Wrong Input Parameter in Job Details

    Hi,
    i start a OWB10.2.0.1 mapping by calling its main-Procedure including the default-parameters and a individual plant location-parameter 'B' as MappingInput (used later as filter), f.e.:
    declare
    p varchar2(4000);
    begin
    fact_map.main(p, 'B', NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL);
    end;
    THe mapping works fine, the 'B'-data is loaded but in the job details windows of the CCM on the Input Parameter tab it´s written an 'A' (the default plant location) instead of 'B'.
    OK, it´s not very important at the first moment, but later, if you want to check something in your loading-history - you are lost...
    Any idea, how to fix this?

  • Pass Input Parameter With Blank To SSIS Get Strange Result

    Hi! I stuck for a while when executing SSIS from stored procedure with input parameter. My input value is not consistent with output one. If I pass value with blank , SSIS seems gets second part. For example , if I pass "CALL FROM SP", SSIS get
    "FROM" only.
    I use Execute SQL Task to store input parameter. Here is the SSIS snapshot.
    And here is the sp snippet
    DECLARE @Path VARCHAR(200),
    @Cmd VARCHAR(4000),
    @ReturnCode INT,
    @QUERY_STRING VARCHAR(70),
    @BATCH_NO VARCHAR(14)

    SELECT @QUERY_STRING = 'CALL FROM SP'
    --BatchNo = YYYYMMDDHHMMSS
    SELECT @BATCH_NO = CONVERT(VARCHAR(10),GETDATE(),112) + REPLACE(CONVERT(VARCHAR(8),GETDATE(),108),':','')

    any error?
     execute SSIS in design mode
     CALL FROM SSIS
     YES
     execute SSIS by sp
     CALL FROM SP
     NO
     Option "FROM" is not valid.
     execute SSIS by sp
     CALL_FROM_SP

    Anyone could give me some hint ?
    Thank you so much!!

    Hi Nick,
    It occurs because an argument of the DTExec commands must be enclosed in quotation marks if it contains a space. From the dtexe (SSIS Tool): Syntax Rules section of the
    dtexec Utility (SSIS Tool) document, we can see:
    All options must start with a slash (/) or a minus sign (-). The options that are shown here start with a slash (/), but the minus sign (-) can be substituted.
    An argument must be enclosed in quotation marks if it contains a space. If the argument is not enclosed in quotation marks, the argument cannot contain white space.
    Doubled quotation marks within quoted strings represent escaped single quotation marks.
    Options and arguments are not case-sensitive, except for passwords.
    So, you need to make the value of the variable @QUERY_STRING within double quotes in the value of the variable @Cmd or remove the space within the @QUERY_STRING value.

  • How to bind mapping input parameter in process flow using OMB Plus

    Hi
    I have created a process flow with a mapping.
    This mapping has a input parameter, that I want to bind to a variable using OMBPlus
    OMBALTER PROCESS_FLOW '$process' MODIFY PARAMETER 'P_EOD_DATE_IN' SET PROPERTIES (BINDING) VALUES ('V_EOD_DATE') does not work as P_EOD_DATE is NOT a process parameter
    neither does
    OMBALTER PROCESS_FLOW '$process' MODIFY PARAMETER '$mapname/P_EOD_DATE_IN' SET PROPERTIES (BINDING) VALUES ('V_EOD_DATE') as the reference '$mapname/P_EOD_DATE_IN' is not valid.
    Any suggestions ?

  • Is the task-flow input parameter class value being ignored by the framework

    hi
    Although I don't remember where, I think I read or heard about the task-flow input parameter class value that it is "being ignored by the framework".
    One example of this could be what is currently in the UI Shell sample application available
    at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/uishellapp-134633.zip
    It has in its task-flow in "flows\second.xml" an input parameter configured like
      <task-flow-definition id="second">
        <!-- ... -->
        <input-parameter-definition id="__3">
          <name id="__2">tabContext</name>
          <value>#{pageFlowScope.tabContext}</value>
          <class>oracle.ui.pattern.dynamicShell.TabContex</class>
          <required/>
        </input-parameter-definition>
        <!-- ... -->
      </task-flow-definition>Notice the missing "t" at the end of the class name "oracle.ui.pattern.dynamicShell.TabContex".
    Still this task-flow configuration does allow to use expressions like "#{pageFlowScope.tabContext.selectedTabIndex}", which suggests that the class value is indeed "being ignored by the framework".
    (see also forum thread "does the UI Shell sample break encapsulation in its task-flows"
    at does the UI Shell sample break encapsulation in its task-flows )
    All relevant references (bug numbers, documentation, blogs) explaining about this task-flow input parameter class value are welcome.
    If no such references exist, maybe someone from Oracle can give some feedback.
    many thanks

    That appears to be a bug for which I am seeking confirmation.There is an enhancement request (i.e., 9377487) submitted over a year ago, that describes this behavior. It is listed as an ER as our documentation (e.g., Fusion Developer's Guide for Oracle ADF, online help ) does not specifically state that Java class for the input parameter definition is checked for type. Further anything using EL is untyped. So the expectation that types are enforced is somewhat puzzling to the development team.
    However, there is an acknowledgment within circles of the development organization, that some might come to have this expectation. One trigger might be the definition itself. The other is the existence of a design time audit on the definition. For example, if the class is specified inaccurately (e.g., typo), there is an audit warning to report "not found."
    Under consideration are a number of framework proposals to check for type without breaking backward compatibility or adding overhead to the production environment.
    In the interim, the following recommendations are given.
    Unless this breaks or can break your app in some way, no need exist for change. Nevertheless, if this is a real concern, write a test or consider a java assertion. By default, assertions are disabled at runtime. There is no need to override that default.I have been able to find enhancement request 9377487, "TASK FLOW PARAMETER VALUES NOT VALIDATED ACCORDING TO CLASS", on My Oracle Support. It currently has "Status 15 - To Internal (Oracle) Review" and "Updated 16-Dec-2010".
    In the context of service request 3-4185839067 recently bug 12838099, "THE TASK-FLOW INPUT PARAMETER CLASS VALUE BEING IGNORED BY THE FRAMEWORK", has been filed and it currently still has "Status 16 - Bug Screening/Triage".
    - about "... the expectation that types are enforced is somewhat puzzling to the development team ..."
    Hmm, strange ... so what are people supposed to expect when there is an option to configure a class name for a task-flow input parameter?

  • GRC VirsaCCRiskAnalysisService userid input parameter GRC 5.3

    Hi Experts,
    I'm trying to find out the meaning of all the input parameters that this Web Service contains ( VirsaCCRiskAnalysisService ). For the simulation of a Risk analysis I see the System, Role and many parameters that are optional, but the thing is, that I don't see the input parameter userid.
    I assume that this is the most important input parameter to let the Web Service check the validation like you do in the SAP GRC Acces Control -> Risk Analysis for an user.
    I see other input parameters like userGroup, userRange, but not the specific userid like the one in the SAPGRC_AC_IDM_RISKANALYSIS Web Service.
    ¿Is it possible to simulate a Risk Analysis for a given userid, system and hypothetical role?
    Thanks in advance,
    Toni

    Hi Toni,
    In the webservice (VirsaCCRiskAnalysisService).  U need enter the user id in the object range field.
    if there is only one user id put that is object from value.
    if there are range of user than u can enter the range in object from & object to field.
    Put Object type 1 is for users.

    One additional note. I have not had to use Regular Expressions very much, so I'm somewhat of a novice. My FIRST attempt to match either the Verbose or Abbreviated commands from the DSO was as follows:
    :WFMP.*:XZE.* $
      In words, what I’m trying to say is, “Match any instance of “:WFMP”, followed by any number of any character, followed by “:XZE” followed by any number of any character, and ending with a Space character.”  It sure seemed like that should work...but it did not within the VI. That was when I tried other options and found the longer, "A or B" type of match would work, as described in my previous post.
    This morning, a buddy sent me links to a couple of websites where you can experiment with Regular Expressions and see if your input is getting matched correctly. By using one of those tools, it appears that my initial attempt IS VALID, but yet, it didn't work within LabVIEW (8.6 for me). I have read some other posts RE: "Bugs" within the way LabVIEW works with Regular Expressions, so maybe this is something similar. But at least I'm up and running by using the long-way.

  • How do I properly pass values into an input parameter form and app module?

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4
    I created an application module that calls a PL/SQL procedure that uses input parameters. I exposed this to the data control and dropped the object on a jsff as a input parameter form. I need to set some of the input parameters on this form from values gathered and stored in a pageFlowScope bean. What is the proper way so that the values will: 1. show on the form, and 2. get to the java code in the application module that calls my procedure? An example field from my form is:
            <af:inputText value="#{bindings.pPayerId.inputValue}" label="Payer ID"
                          required="#{bindings.pPayerId.hints.mandatory}"
                          columns="#{bindings.pPayerId.hints.displayWidth}"
                          maximumLength="#{bindings.pPayerId.hints.precision}"
                          shortDesc="#{bindings.pPayerId.hints.tooltip}" id="it8">
              <f:validator binding="#{bindings.pPayerId.validator}"/>
              <af:convertNumber groupingUsed="false" pattern="#{bindings.pPayerId.format}"/>
            </af:inputText>Thanks,
    Troy

    Thanks Shay for pointing me in that direction.
    I didn't find the NDValue in the bindings, so I went to the pagedef xml and found it there. Changing the NDValue successfully delivered the value to the app module when the method was executed, but didn't show the value on the form. I had to add the same #{pageFlowScope.paramsBean.fileFormatParam} to the value of the input field and it now is working as needed.

  • Reg..csv file as input parameter in sqlloader

    Hi,
    I have .ctl file. every time i received the file name in diff name.
    rather than hardcode file name i wants to take .csv file as input parameter plesase do help in this.
    here is the code..
    OPTIONS (SKIP = 1, BINDSIZE=100000)
    LOAD DATA
    CHARACTERSET WE8ISO8859P1
    INFILE '/WOAU1/bkp/pgp_masterkey.csv'
    BADFILE '/WOAU1/bkp/pgp_masterkey.bad'
    DISCARDFILE '/WOAU1/bkp/pgp_masterkey.dsc'
    Thanks
    Atul

    A better alternative would be to avoid using SQL*Loader and instead use External Tables for which you can use an ALTER TABLE statement to change the LOCATION of the table (which details the filename). (A valid reason for using EXECUTE IMMEDIATE in PL/SQL). That way you keep all your control inside the database and you're not messing about with o/s scripts to pass different parameters to an external program.

  • Dynamic Input Parameter

    Hi,
    How can i pass input parameter dynamically.
    I need pass column called valid_no as a input parameter(only one input parameter)
    Based up on these i update the table called wvfl_acct and do other validations.
    Update table name set column1 = 1 where valid_no = Input parameter.(how to present the variable here in input parameter)
    Need to use EXCUTE IMMEDITE also fot this.
    Pls Help..
    Thanks visit my thread.

    Here is my code
    create or replace procedure (valid_no IN number) as
    Begin
    select valid_no from table2 where valid_no = ?(How to
    give the input parameter here)
    Update ----
    end;
    My valid_no comes from diferent work flows.so i need
    it to take as dynamicFirstly, don't name your parameters the same as your table columns otherwise it'll confuse things.
    i.e. it's more readable like:
    create or replace procedure (p_valid_no IN number) as
      v_valid_no number;
    Begin
      select valid_no
      into   v_valid_no
      from   table2
      where  valid_no = p_valid_no;
      Update ----
    end;Although you would be more likely to select something other than valid_no from the query as you already know that from your input parameter.
    Now if you have multiple input values to pass in, that's a different matter.

  • Error 1 an input parameter is invalid on cluster wire

    I have a system with numerous subvi's, however all seems to compile ok and when I run the top level vi it seems to be working fine. However when I press a button to launch a routine that calls numerous sub vis, I get an error:
    Labview: An input parameter is invalid. For example, if the input is a path, the path may contain a character not allowed by the OS such as ? or @.
    The top level VI "mastercontrol2.vi" was stopped at Wire on the block diagram of "FPGASigGen_GetDataPont.vi".
    [OK]
    I am then taken to the block diagram of the said VI, and the section of pink cluster wire from the cluster constant is highlighted, in the  section just after it enters the while loop. The top level VI then stops executing.
    I have tried rebuilding this part of the code in different ways, but always with the same result. The suggested cause in the error message is clearly a red herring, because I don't do any file access anywhere.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Just because you see a reference number in the probe does not mean that the reference is valid.  If a parallel process closes the reference, you will still have that reference number, but the reference will become invalid.  This is the usual case for an error code 1 when dealing with references.

    The only annoying problem is an error message coming up every minute for every client in the log:

    I couldn't find anything regarding this topic in the forum, only one similar post but unanswered.
    We are using two server: one for the licence server and one for the database (the database server is clustered)
    Does anyone have any idea about this? Has it ever happened to anybody?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi Julie,
    it must be a triggered action from the system. The only problem is that log files grow very big, few mb every day, and it is a situation that's not very ideal. And also i don't want to turn them off because it is always a good resource for other errors.
    It is very strange that SAP hasn't noticed this behaviour and there isn't any note available for the purpose.
    Thanks for your help
