Insert creatin script in toad

Hii I have two schemas lets say db1 and DB2 .
DB1 is old database
DB2 is latest database.
In DB2 there are so many tabes are added .. columns are added in the previous db
Now I want to compaire both database and sycronise the DB1 database withe latest one.
I compair both the schemas using toad (compaire schema option)
It create the script for syncronising the db1 with the DB2.
in that script in gives only to create table .. alter table with column,indexex,,trigger ..all creation script..
but not created the insertion script.
can you tell how to create the insert script along with the table creation script for that table which is not in the DB1

Or use SQL Developer to create all scripts (including insert).

Problem while executing script in Toad - How to use '&' in the sql script ?

I have to execute sql script in toad. Sql script has one insert query in which one insert-value is 'USA & CAN'. When I executed the script in toad by pressing F5, I got a prompt window asking for the value if 'CAN' as it is after the &.
I tried using[b] {escape '\' } .... but could not resolve the problem.
Is there any solution or workaround to overcome this problem. I have thousands of records with such values and I have to use sql script only.

There is an option in TOAD to change this behaviour.
Look in VIEW/OPTIONS/SQL Editor/
Uncheck the box for "Scan statements for bound variables before execution".
In SQL*PLUS it would be SET SCAN OFF
(desupported version is SET DEFINE OFF)

Inserting sql scripts in Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g

Dear all,
Can anyone please tell me if we can use a process flow to insert scripts in OWB 10g..
If so, how can i do it??
I am having a problem to insert sql scripts in OWB 10g r2.
Infact, i have to write a script and insert it in OWB to populate data from a souce table to a target table.
I have checked the script in sqlplus and it's working correctly (update being done).
The problem is that how do i insert the script in OWB?? Can i use a process flow other than OMB PLUS??

I have inserted the following script in the sqlplus activity in my process flow.
INSERT INTO BMADW.TARGET_SALGRADE (GRADE, LOSAL, HISAL) SELECT GRADE, LOSAL, HISAL FROM SCOTT.SALGRADE;
COMMIT;
EXIT
When i run the script in sql*plus, it does the insert and the commit part successfully. I have to press 'ENTER' for SQL*PLUS to exit.
If i have to end the script, is the word 'EXIT' the right command to use??
My process flow is deploying successfully but when starting it, still no 'INSERT' has been done. It's taking too much time to run (without giving any error).

BC won't allow me to insert code (scripts) between the /body and the /html tags.

Hi guys,
So I have this weird problem. I'm trying to insert some codes between the </body> and the </html> tags in the page templates. It's saving it. But if you check the page, the code is showing before the </body>, not after. Here's the code that I'm trying to insert.

I have also tried adding this code by downloading the templates through ftp, adding the code, then uploading it to the server. Same thing. I even added type="text/javascript" in the code. Still no go. BC wouldn't insert it between </body> and </html>. Any ideas guys?

So an update.
I was told by Adobe chat support to try adding the script after the body via javascript.
So I added this before </head>

Why does RoboHelp HTML v11.0.1.235 crashes when inserting a script?

I inserted the following script
"<noscript>

</noscript>".
I used the menu options Insert > HTML > Advanced > Script. Unfortunately, RoboHelp places this tag inside the "<script>" "</script>" tags which causes errors. I was in the procces of moving the tags when RoboHelp froze. RoboHelp (HTML) v11.0.1.235 was installed on my system last week. There is an Add-on to Microsoft Visual Studio (v4.5.50938) where all the files are kept in Source Control. The contents of the problem details are below:

My predecessor entered the HTML coding (script) incorrectly. by entering the text "Javascript is not enabled" at the top of each topic page in the online manual. Unfortunately, users accessing the WebHelp manual discovered that when "full text" or "word" search was performed the text appeared in the search results as part of the title of the page. When looking for assistance on how to correctly insert this tag I came across the RoboHelp Reference for entering this script. Note: I was using RoboHelp v9

The system does not freeze up every time. I can work on a few topics (maybe 5 or 6) then it will freeze. I am not sure if the problem has anything to do with inserting a script but this is the only time it freezes. I use RoboHelp on a daily basis and is in it all day long for I am a Technical Writer assigned to preparing and updating online manuals. If I am creating a new topic or updating content on a topic (Design view) the system doesn't freeze up.

How to insert a script code before the /head tag?

Would like to insert a <script> code inside all the pages of my website, and it has to be placed before the </head> code.
Can I manage this with muse? Else, each time when I export the site as HTML, I need to open the updated file(s) and copy and paste again the SCRIPT code in the HEAD.

Adding scripts to the head section of your documents is not currently supported in Muse, however it is planned for future versions of Muse.
You can add links for scripts using Object -> Insert HTML, but they will be inserted roughly at the position of the HTML page item.

Unable to generate insert stmt scripts using sql developer

We are not able to generate INSERT statement script using SQL Developer. In the INSERT script system is inserting some spaces due to carriage return which we cannot reviewed individually.

I want to know difference between execute as statement and execute as script in Toad ..while i am running a query execute as statement is taking about 3 seconds and if i run with execute as a script its taking long time..Which one i need to consider.

When you execute a query as a statement then toad itself opens the cursor against the database and issues the statement, fetching the rows as they are needed to display in it's interface. You say it takes only about 3 second to run, but the chances are that you haven't scrolled the result window down to the last record, for which I'm sure you'd find it takes a little longer.
When you execute a query as a script, TOAD passes the query out to be run in SQL*Plus rather than from within TOAD itself. With SQL*Plus, it runs the whole statement fetching all the rows before returning control, the same as if you had scrolled to the end of the result set in TOAD.
In reality there should be no difference in the time it takes to execute the statements to completion in either environment.

Generate Insert Statement Script to Extract Data from Table in Oracle 7i

Hi all, I have an old Oracle legacy system that is running for over 15 years.Every now and then we need to extract data from this table@ ORacle 7i to be imported back to Oracle 10G.
My thoughts are to create a script of Insert statements in oracle 7 and that to be deployed back to Oracle 10G.
I found this scripts in Google and not sure how exactly this works.Any explanation on thsi scripts , would be greatly appreciated.I find this scripst may help to generate a set of insert statements from that table to the latest table at 10G.

I inserted js script in my webpage, but it doesn't work. In Oper&Chrome it does.

I inserted a js in my webpage, but it doesn't work. I tried wit FF portable - it works. I tried to reinstall FF, but nothing happens. I don't want to tottaly uninstall FF because I'm afraid, that I'll lose my passwords and bookmarks, and all the settings I've made.

It's not a big deal, because they tell me that it appears fine on other machines, but I am not sure that other pages will be shown correctly too.

Problem with using INSERT INTO script

I was trying to duplicate a table with the following script:

However, when I execute the script, I keep getting a 'missing right parenthesis' error. Any idea what went wrong?

You don't need braces.
Just
INSERT INTO TAB3
SELECT *
FROM system.table3
ORDER BY DBMS_ROWID.ROWID_BLOCK_NUMBER(ROWID) DESC, KEYATTR DESCshould work.

Quote problem in Generating Insert Statement Script to Extract Data

Hi every body;
I would like to write an sql/plsql script which can extract data from an oracle existing table in insert statements.
example:
the table employees:
empno name
1 john
2 M'hir
3 M'silou
My problem is that i have the following result:
insert into employees values('1','john');
insert into employees values('2','m'hir');------- Problem with M'hir qote
insert into employees values('3','M'silou');----- Problem with M'silou quote
How can i have :
insert into employees values('2','m''hir');------- two quotes with M'hir =M''hir
insert into employees values('3','M''silou');----- Problem with M'silou=M''silou
plz your help

What is your DB version?? If it is >10g, you can use the Q delimiter (as mentioned by Solomon).

How to insert jquery script in DW CS5?

Hi folks,
I've always struggled with jquery scripts because I've never quite understood how to use them. I've installed extensions and widgets with no trouble but jquery scripts are just a little beyond my abilities so I'm hoping someone here can give me a step by step tutorial for using this script :http://minimalisticstudio.com/journal/360-degree-panoramic-view-plugin-for-jquery to insert a panoramic tour on this page, which is part of a templated site: http://tatlerprime.co.nz/prime_vt.html (replacing the current tours).
This is what I have downloaded (screenshot): http://imm.io/p6mh (the readme file doesn't contain instructions).
What I'm not sure about is where to save the contents and what to do next. The instructions at the first link expect me to have installed these previously so are not much help. I usually work in split view so am comfortable editing code once I know what goes where.
Thanks in advance if anyone has the time to talk me through this.

Inserting sql scripts in OWB 10g using OMB PLUS

Infact i am new to OWB and my question can be very silly to you.
Infact i have 1 source table in OWB named 'SALGRADE' which contains data and i have 1 target table named 'TARGET_SALGRADE' which has the same structure as the source table.
The script i have run and tested is as such :
INSERT INTO TARGET_SALGRADE
(GRADE,
LOSAL,
HISAL)
SELECT
GRADE,
LOSAL,
HISAL
FROM SCOTT.SALGRADE;
I have tested it in sqlplus and the update has been done.
Can you please tell me how do i proceed in OMB PLUS and how do i write the script there??

You can run SQL scripts using the SQLPLus activity in a process flow.
But the traditional mechanism to move data in OWB is using mappings. The post below might be interesting if you know SQL to understand how mappings are constructed;
