Insert multiple objects into variable (array)

Hello,
 I need to create PS script to which gets logged on users(get-rdusersession | select UserName), puts them into variable $users=@(user1,user2,...,userN) and runs foreach {something} - something like send message and logoff user. But I cannot get the
output from command get-rdusersession to the variable. Can someone tell, how to do that? Thank you.
Pete
sfs

Hi Pete,
try this:
$Users = Get-RDUserSession | Select -ExpandProperty UserName
The "-ExpandProperty" Parameter means the select command returns a String with the value that the UserName property on the output of Get-RDUserSession had. Otherwise you get a PSObject that has a UserName property itself, containing that string
(try Piping both versions to the cmdlet Get-Member and see for yourself, both properties and type name).
Cheers,
Fred
Ps.: Try running Get-RDUserSession in your Powershell Console and check whether you actually get any output, in case that's the problem.

  • How to insert an object into an object array

    I have an array of objects and im trying to insert an object into the array at position zero. Does anyone know what method I can use for this?

    Hey,
    Are u using a normal array or an array list ?
    For instance if you are using a normal array and you wnat to store an object of classX it should be something like this:
      myArray[0] = new classX(vlaue1, Value2, Value3);this will only work if you have a default constructer for the objects.
    I am posting under correction here but this is the basic idea.
    Hope it helps :-)

  • How do I insert an object in an array?

    How can I insert an object in an array of variable size?
    I input two numbers from keyboard
    1
    2that form the following object (Pair)
    (1,2)
    how can I add such objects to an array
    private Pair s[];
    e.g.
    public PairList(int x){
    top = -1;
    s = new Pair[x];
    }//constructor
    public void getPairs()throws FullException{
    BufferedReader input = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
    try{
    a=input.readLine();b=input.readLine();
    }//try
    catch(IOException e){System.out.println("Can't read input");}//catch
    int x=0;
    int y=0;
    try{
    x=Integer.parseInt(a);}//try
    catch(NumberFormatException e){}
    try{
    y=Integer.parseInt(b);}//try
    catch(NumberFormatException e){}
    Pair k=new Pair(x,y);
    System.out.println(k);
    s[++top]=k; --here is my problem
    }//getPairs

    I tried making as few changes to your code as possible, but your idea should basically work. Potential problems:
    1. Doesn't allow for more input than 1 pair.
    2. By storing pair in an array, you must know the exact size of the array you will need beforehand. You might be better off storing the Pair(s) in a Vector and then converting that to an array.
    3.Your exception handlers need some work. Basically, your exception handlers put out a message or do nothing and then you continue processing. Not good.
    4. No cleanup of file resources after you have completed
    import java.io.*;
    public class PairList{
         private Pair s[];
         private int top;
         public PairList(int x){

  • Flash player 10.3.181.14 broke my site, loading multiple swfs into an array

    I load multiple swfs into an array, I add and remove the objects on the stage, this is for a rotating carousel.
    All the items locations are established in xml. If I only have one item loaded into the array it works fine, if I have more then one it will not a) play the swf, or b) show the swf.
    The swfs themselves contain code that fire events in the main container. Which cause other items to play or load.
    Is anyone else having this issue?

    Hi howet,
    EDIT:
    I've opened a flash bug in their bug system as I found I could reproduce the issue: https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-7071
    There are some workarounds I found on there.
    ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
    I was having a similar issue using a loading component which i've been using for several years with no issues. As with you the issue arose when loading multiple swfs (or even one swf and then a jpg) on 10.3 and above. It works fine on 10.2 and below still.
    I found a workaround whilst I look for a proper answer and that is to delay subsequent loads using a hacky setTimeout.
    For example:
    protected function manageLoaded (p_event : Event) : void {
    setTimeout(loadNext, 1);
    // following line breaks the gotoAndStop of loaded swfs.
    // loadNext();
    I hope this helps you too, let me know.
    Cheers,
    Dan.

  • Inserting Multiple queries into a workbook

    Hi Friends,
    I have to insert multiple queries into a workbook and each query should be in a different worksheet of the work book.
    I have gone thru some of the SAP documentation, for example http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/3a/89883989676778e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    In above link under the fatures section it says
    If you want to insert a query into the active workbook:
    Open a workbook and, from the BEx toolbar, choose Tools ® Insert Query.... The query is then inserted into the current worksheet starting at the active cell
    But when i chech in the tools under desig tools, i have lot of options like insert grid,insert checbox, radio button extc, but i dont have "Insert query".
    I am using BI7 Bex analyazer, The Only way i am able to insert a new query into a work sheet using BI7 is that first i have to design the work sheet but including design elemenst in my case i am using Grid. But this is not giving the correct display.
    Did anyone insert multiple queries in the same workbook? if you can you please let me know how did u acheive this?.
    Thanks in adv.
    Regards
    BN

    Hi Rajesh,
    Thanks for your response, but in BI7 Bex analyser you dont have the option of insert query from tools.
    Rather what i did is (maynot be the correct way), i have executed the query and saved it as work book and in the tools there is an option "copy Sheet". If you select this the same layout is copied to the 2nd sheet, there just change the assignment of design items to a new Dataprovider. Attach the new query to the new Dataprovider.
    It works for me, as of now
    But i have  questions regarding selection screen.
    1. In this work book i am embbeding 6 queries and each query individually has variables. When i execute the workbook i get the selection screen, in the selection screen all the common variables are shown in one grouping and other in a different grouping. Is this correct way of selection screen display?.
    2. I want to see the variable screen every time i open the work book, how can i acheive this?.

  • Insert multiple records into Oracle using Java

    Hi,
    Has anyone tried to insert multiple records into an Oracle table from Java? I have my data in a Java collection.Can I send a Java Collection to an Oracle Package as a PL/SQL Table Type? My problem is I dont want to instantiate a CallableStatement object everytime I do an insert. Instead I want to do that only once and then insert multiple records in one operation.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Mensa,
    I went thru the code example in your book in chapter 8 (downloaded it from OTN). It looks like the java code for "public class myPLSQLIndexTab" might be a java stored procedure stored in the oracle database?
    Pardon my ignorance because I've never worked on java code in the oracle database itself but how would I call such a program outside the oracle database? For example say I have a batch job that downloads data from a webservice and that batch job is written in java and its sitting on a batch server somewhere on the network. But the java program that inserts data into the database is sitting in the oracle database (also somewhere in the same network). How can the java code sitting on the batch server talk to the java code sitting on the oracle server? Is it the same as calling a pl/sql package using CallableStatement?
    Thanks

    that depends. Putting the images in BLOBs prevents the file locations stored in the database from getting out of synch with the filesystem when sysadmins decide to reorganise directory structures or "archive" "old" files that noone uses anyway.True, but it really comes down to a business decision (cost-benefit analysis). If you have the bucks, the expertise, and the time, go with the Blobs, otherwise go with the flat files.

  • Inserting a record into an array

    I have an applet that pops up different frames when you click on a menu item. On my add a record frame I have a number of textfields and an add button. When the button is clicked it is supposed to insert the record into my array of objects that only can have 3 records. When the button is clicked however I get a null pointer exception. I want to add the record in order based on the employee number, so first I want to check to see if the first spot of the array is null and add the record in the first spot if it is. If it isn't I want to check the employee numbers and insert the the record in the correct place and make sure the array isn't full. Can someone help me out 1. Why the nullpointer exception. 2. I am not sure if my logic is correct. Below is the Code. Thanks!!
    public void insertRecord()
    if (MyEmpArray[0] == null )
    addRec(0);
    else
    for(int index =0; index <3; index++)
    if(intEmpNumber < MyEmpArray[index].intEmpNumber && MyEmpArray[3] != null )
    addRec(index);
    else
    lblErrorMessage.setText("Array is full");
    public void addRec(int index)
    MyEmpArray[index].setValues(intEmpNumber, strFirstName, strLastName, strHomePhone,
    strStreet, strCity, strState, strZip, strCountry, strWorkStreet,
    strWorkCity, strWorkState, strWorkZip, strWorkCountry, strWorkPhoneNum,
    fltNumHours, fltHourlyWage, intI, intJ, intK);
    lblErrorMessage.setText("");
    txaReport.setText("");
    ClearFields();
    }

    for(int index =0; index <3; index++)
    An array with an index from 0 to 3, contains 4 records: you should replace it with
    for(int index =0; index <2; index++)
    The check-logic is good enough, but there are two minor "bugs":
    1) even If the array is full, the for cycle will uselessly check all the records
    2) if a the employee number of intEmpNumber is > thanMyEmpArray[index].intEmpNumber the program will show up "Array is full" even if the array isn't full.
    So, I suggest to add more code to make distinction between the two cases:
    for(int index =0; index <3; index++)
    if(MyEmpArray[3] != null ) // check if there is space to add a record
    if (intEmpNumber < MyEmpArray[index].intEmpNumber) //check if the position is right
    addRec(index);
    else
    lblErrorMessage.setText("Array is full");
    break; // exit the for cicle as the array is full
    I don't know what you are programming, but I ask you: "If the new intEmpNumber is < than the intEmpNumber of an already-full-array shouldn't be the new record inserted, discarding the last one?"
    I don't know if addRec works, I'm don't know applets, buttons..:)
    Sorry for my bad english...I hope this post will help you anyway :)

  • Insert multiple records into a table(Oracle 9i) from a single PHP statement

    How can I insert multiple records into a table(Oracle 9i) from a single PHP statement?
    From what all I've found, the statement below would work if I were using MySQL:
         insert into scen
         (indx,share,expire,pitch,curve,surface,call)
         values
         (81202, 28, 171, .27, 0, 0, 'C' ),
         (81204, 28, 501, .25, 0, 0, 'C' ),
         (81203, 17, 35, .222, 0, 0, 'C' ),
         (81202, 28, 171, .27, 2, 0, 'C' ),
         (81204, 28, 501, .20, 0, 1, 'C' ),
         (81203, 28, 135, .22, 1, 0, 'C' )
    The amount of records varies into the multiple-dozens. My aim is to utilize the power of Oracle while avoiding the i/o of dozens of single-record inserts.
    Thank you,
    Will

    You could look at the INSERT ALL statement found in the documentation here:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96540/statements_913a.htm#2133161
    My personal opinion is that you probably won't see any benefit because under the hood I think Oracle will still be doing single row inserts. I could be wrong though.
    The only way to confirm was if you did a test of multiple inserts vs an INSERT ALL, that is if the INSERT ALL met your requirements.

  • Inserting Multiple Rows into Database Table using JDBC Adapter - Efficiency

    I need to insert multiple rows into a database table using the JDBC adapter (receiver).
    I understand the traditional way of repeating the statement multiple times, each having its <access> element. However, I am just wondering whether this might be performance-inefficient, as it might insert records one by one.
    Is there a way to ensure that the records are inserted into the table as a block, rather than record-by-record?

    Hi Bhavesh/Kanwaljit,
    If we have multiple ACCESS tags then what happens is that the connection to the database is made only once. But the data is inserted row by row.
    Why i am saying this?
    If we add the following in JDBC Adapter..logSQLStatement = true. Then incase of multiple inserts we can see that there are multiple
    <i>Insert into tablename(EMP_NAME,EMP_ID) VALUES('J','1000')
    Insert into tablename(EMP_NAME,EMP_ID) VALUES('J','2000')</i>
    Doesnt this mean that rows are inserted one by one?
    Correct me if i am wrong.
    This does not mean that the transaction is not guaranted. Either all the rows will be inserted or rolled back.

    Sumit

  • Pasting multiple objects into frame

    Greetings everyone
    I was wondering if someone could shed some light on how to best paste multiple objects into a single frame.
    Mainly, I'm trying to nest objects that form a part of a newspaper article header; since it's a design element that keeps repeating with each single article I don't want to spend time with manually positioning the elements each time--it's time consuming and prone to sloppiness.
    Unfortunately, the base frame will have about three objects that need to be nested within it. Once I paste one object into a frame, the next time I do `Paste into`--the content (previously pasted object in this case) just gets overridden.
    I've read that, to paste multiple objects into a single frame, one should group the objects first. Now this works pretty well for getting them into the frame, but leaves me with no options to position them relative to the frame. I can't move or position an object individually and I have no option to ungroup them once they've been pasted.
    Here's a small mock-up to depict my peculiar predicament:
    Ideally, I'm aiming to have the main header frame to fit the content of the nested objects and for it to be flexible enough that I can quickly span it across multiple columns as per article requirements.

    !kRON wrote:
    For items that are part of the group, their (X,Y) location coordinates are relative to the document--neither to the group nor the parent frame. The group itself has coordinates that are relative to the parent frame (X+ offset, Y+ offset). I can select the group and the parent frame and use the align to selection options. For individual items, I cannot make a selection of both them and the frame, only between items that are part of a group. I loose options to align an individual item relative to the parent frame, which means I have to drag them around and rely on smart guides.
    I've tinkered around some more and it'd appear it's not possible to lay out the elements as I imagined. So I have to resort to grouping the items that would form a frame and pasting them into a frame. If multiple frames have to be members of a single frame I'd have to group the frames and paste them into the single frame and so on.
    Based on my layout mock-up, I'd end up with 3 frames within the header frame:
    Article header
    Heading
    Article type
    Separator
    Article heading
    Title
    Footer
    Author
    Shape
    Based on experience, should I go with this or stick with the old fashined moving around of loose elements? Will it be a lot of work to maintain resizing and repositioning of the various items and their frames once I start changing the width and height of the header frame or will it save me some time?
    I'm not a working designer or production worker, so anything new takes me longer than I think it should, because I don't have a rich reservoir of quick methods at my fingertips.
    Your description above interested me, because I've been wrestling with the annoying limitations of manipulating and adding compound objects in anchored frames. For many situations, it's probably simplest to assemble each iteration of a compound object, that introduces a new element, outside the anchored frame, then group the elements and paste the grouped object into the anchored frame.
    However, the arrangement of elements in your example made me think that a table might be a workable solution. The answer I arrived at is "Yes, it's a solution, but it takes a while to set up." If it's reusable easily, then it might be worthwhile investing in a few experiments.
    I've attached a zipped idml interchange version of the file, and also a PDF.
    Here are some notes:
    * I created a table with three rows and three columns, no header or footer rows. Three columns because I thought I'd paste a vertical line into an inline anchored frame in the center cell of the top row, for the separator line. Later, I realized that defining the vertical cell rule as paper color would suffice, so I merged the two right cells on the top row to create a two-column row, with text in each cell and the vertical separator between them.
    * I merged all three cells on the second row into a single cell.
    * I merged the two right cells on the bottom row, but later, when I moved the cell rule to position the triangular graphic in the inline anchored frame in the right cell, it moved the vertical cell rule in the first row. So, I had to unmerge (or split) the cells, and cut/paste the triangular graphic's anchored frame into the rightmost cell. To position the anchored frame, I moved the vertical cell rule with Shift+Drag, to keep the table width unchanged.
    * I sampled the purple color with the eyedropper tool while cells were selected and the swatch panel was set to fill the selected object.
    * I didn't spend much time matching the type, as you can see. To position the text, I adjusted the cell margins in some cases, and left/right indention in some cases; I'm not sure which is more efficient in situations where there will be different amounts of text to fit. I didn't create cell styles or paragraph styles (BAH! Bad, bad, bad process) because I won't be repeating this stuff, but you probably will benefit greatly from defining styles for your repeating needs.
    * The triangular cut into the bottom row made it easy to manage creating and positioning the graphic. A non-geometrical object might be trickier. The triangle is a text frame, set to negative space above, so it overlaps the cell above it, enough to avoid a black gap.
    * Except for the vertical paper-colored divider line, all the cells have zero-width strokes.
    * I created the table in a text frame, that I fitted down to the size of the table, but I can't remember if I selected, copied, and pasted the text frame into the text flow to anchor it, or if I selected the table in the text frame, copied and pasted it into the flow. Not sure if it makes a difference in work efficiency.
    If I understand your general needs, this should work well for changing text and adjusting the column widths.

  • Hihow to insert 2 elements into 2D array?

    Hi I had a hard time figuring out how to insert 2 elements into 2D arrays.
    I tried using replace and insert array functions but it does not work right way.
    I am using LV7.1. See the pic below.
    How do I insert elements in that way?
    Pls advise
    Clement

    Well, "replace array subset" is not the right tool, because it keeps the size of the array constant. Insert into array only works for entire rows or columns.
    You need a hybrid approach, because you want to insert elements at the beginning of column 1 while padding the remaining columns to the new lenght of column 1. This won't be efficient but there are plenty of ways to do that (here is one example with DBL arrays, should work equally well for string arrays as in your case).
    How much flexibility do you need? Is it always at the beginning of the first column? Are the arrays huge (=is performance an issue)? Is this a rare operations or do you constantly need to do this (e.g. inside a loop).
    In any case this seems like a rather arbitrary and somewhat silly operation. What is the practical purpose?

    I put all the fields in the jsp form's page and in the submit page I put something like this:
    <jbo:Row id="myRow" datasource="ds" action="Update" rowkeyparam="MyRowKey" >
    <jbo:SetAttribute dataitem="*" />
    </jbo:Row>
    But how can I insert multiple rows like this:
    Id          Name
    1          ana
    2          monteiro
    3          maria
    Thanks!
