Installed Itunes7 - now when conected can't see ipod in windows or itunes

As per subject, i have just downloaded itunes 7. No problems. I have previously had no problems with connectivity but now I connect the ipod in the same way and nothing happens - not in windows or itunes. Anyone got any ideas, thanks

Same deal here, and I'm ready kick some Apple ***!!!! Those stupid ******'s sent out new software that has totally hosed everything. I tried all their feeble suggestions. I was finally able to get itunes7 to recognize my ipod, but only after having to restart the ipod service several times and then opening up itunes. But that was for naught because I'm not able to do anything with it. When I try to add music I keep getting a "required folder cannot be found" error. And when I try to update or resotre I get a dialog that says that it's trying update my ipod, but it just keeps going and going. I let it run for over 12 hours the other day. NOTHING!!! I figured to **** with 7 and tried going back to an older version, but guess what. Once 7 is installed the music file formats are incompatible with the older itunes. Not only am I not able to connect, but when I try to play music from itunes7 the sound is "jumpy". I don't know what they were thinking.

Just got a new 30 G Ipod and it worked fine when I intially plugged it in. After that, I haven't been able to get it to show up in itunes or windows or charge for that matter. I've tried the various times with no success. Any ideas???? I have a shuffle that works fine.

Actually, no you're not. You're trying to load old programs on this computer - programs that are based around the old (dead?) Mac OS 9, not Mac OS X.
The main problem is that Mac OS X no longer comes with Mac OS 9. If you want to run Mac OS 9 applications you can, but you'll need to source a copy of Mac OS 9 and install that before you can. Off hand I don't know of any sources for Mac OS 9.x. Apple no longer sell it. eBay might be an option.
Either that, or just use Mac OS X applications. You'd probably prefer that anyway.
Finally, as an aside, this doesn't really have anything to do with AppleScript, so posting in the appropriate forum might get you better luck.

Click on the Hot Corners.. button and look at the four definitions. In the picture below, if you moved the cursor to the right top of the screen, it would slide all the applications off the screen as you describe and show the desktop. Set it to "-" to deactivate.

If you use Lion, go to Applications/ Mission Control and, if you have more Desktops, as attached, it means you have more, and you must select the one you need for a certain app. If default settings has not changed, this is Control with left / right arrow
If in Snow Leopard and earlier, you have these settings in System Preferences only. In Lion, you also have some settings in Sys Prefs.

Can't help with your Safari issue, but if you want to report this issue to Apple's engineering, send a bug report or an enhancement request via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, register as an Apple Developer—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report or enhancement request. You'll get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

I hate the new downloads-in-a-tab scheme. This was an unnecessary change in my book (if it aint broke, don't "fix it").
So in order to get it back, I performed the about:config browser.download.useToolkitUI change, but now all I get is a blank download window that pops up every time I download something.
Is there something else that I need to do? I've checked the change and it was saved, but it didn't resolve my issue as much as it just caused me a new issue.

Is there a way to delete an app when you can't see the app's icon? I have so many apps that they don't all show up on the existing screens. I know it can be done by connecting to a computer and using iTunes, but I'm on the road away from my Mac.

I tried that and instead of showing me the inaccessible screens, it just shortens the number of available screens. Then if I reset the home screen in preferences it removes the folders I created and I'm back to square one.

Yes I am looking in the app store. When I look in Itunes on my computer and look at purchased apps it is there. And when I go on my other device and look at apps purchased all apps are there.

Open iTunes and connect your iPod. Select your iPod in iTunes from the Source list. (I'm assuming this still works, although you didn't indicate if it did or didn't.) Make sure the box is checked to Open iTunes when this device is connected. You should be all set!

Well, think about it. This is a Lightroom forum. We are here to answer questions about Lightroom and how to solve problems in Lightroom. Your permissions issue is an operating system issue, not a Lightroom issue. I didn't mean to be sarcastic. But there are plenty of Internet resources that will answer that question.
I just went to Google and typed in "change disk permissions", and there are links for the Mac as well as for Windows listed. There's no sense in me rewriting instructions that are already available.
