Integrate EBS with Java Applications and Legacies

Hello everybody!.
I'm a new on SOA and i want start to learn about this, and how integrate EBS and a JAVA application between them.
I read about the API's that EBS public (API Integrator), but, i don't have idea how i can consult this API's from a simple web services of my java aplication. It's posible to do that without use bpel?
You could see that i don't have any experience on this, so, if you could tealme about some papers and what tecnology i need to use to resolve that, would be great.

Configure CRS2008 to using AD and Kerberos with Java application servers.

I have configure CRS2008 to using AD and Kerberos with Java application servers. Domain Controller is installed on W2K3 Server. In addition, CRS2008 is installed on another W2k3 Server.
I have create service account in domain controller: CMSACC
I have create two user account: CRuser1 and CRuser2
I have create domain group: CRSGroup
After I had run the setspn in domain controller,I got the message at below:

    BOBJCentralMS/BDMGTSRV.BD.com
CMC Setting:
AD Administration Name: BD\administrator
Default AD Domain: BD.com

Service principal name:BOBJCentralMS/CMSACCatBD.com
I have create a WINNT folder in root directory.Moreover and save bcsLognin.conf and Krb5.ini at here.

I have tested the Kerberos,using kinit CMSACCatBD.com password, and got error message at below:

My problem is failed to logon CMC and infoview and got error message at below:
Account Information Not Recognized: Active Directory Authentication failed to log you on. Please contact your system administrator to make sure you are a member of a valid mapped group and try again. If you are not a member of the default domain, enter your user name as UserNameatDNS_DomainName, and then try again.
Actually, I am sucessful to logon Business View manager with CRuser1. However, I fail to logon CMC and infoview and got the above error. Have you any suggestion to solve this problem?

So the problem is likely with the java portion (krb5/bsclogin or java options)
If the files are in c:\winnt\ (if not copy them there) and perform c:\program files\business objects\javasdk\bin\kinit username
then enter and password/enter again
Probably get the same message. To note in your krb5.ini all domain info must be in CAPS (the .com appears to be in lower case)
kinit works with just the krb5.ini, java SDK and AD (removing BO config and the service account from the picture). Once that works if your java options are specified properly you should be able to login to CMC/infoview.
also 1 last point. Add udp_preference_limit = 1 to the krb5 lib defaults section
libdefaults
default_realm = BD.com
dns_lookup_kdc = true
dns_lookup_realm = true
udp_preference_limit = 1

BC4J and OAS with Java Application Client

Could you show me an example about using the BC4J and OAS with Java Application client.
The JDeveloper Help is not enough to solve this kind of problem.
Configuration:

How to integrate EBS with ADF Jdev

Hi all i have no idea of integrating EBs with JDEV . so can any one please tell me how can i integrate EBS with JDev using Oracle Applications Adapter ?

There are no guidelines and standards available at present for the custom ADF development with respect to EBS. So if you really want to do it, there will be lot of custom coding required just for the integration purpose like managing sessions, apps specific data etc.

Is it possible to Integrate dos with Java to create a sample compiler?

Is it possible to Integrate dos with Java to create a sample compiler, or do I have to write the compiler from scratch? In theory, I would like to have users enter sample code in a java text field, hit a java button that would compile/run the code, by calling a dos command prompt that would run it, and display any error messages back to the java text field. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a Compiler class you might be able to use also:
C:\jdk1.3.1_01\docs\api\java\lang\Compiler.html
So perhaps there is no need to create a process to compile code. But I don't know if you can get information about compiler errors.

Well, it works well when, into my applet, i do somethig like this:
URL url = new URL(host);
URLConnection connexion = url.openConnection();My applet uses proxy setting from IE6 but only if i use Java 1.4.2_08.
With IE6 and Java 1.5.04, it doesn't work (my applet doesn't use proxy settings)
With Firefox and Java 1.5.04, it's ok
Have you already seen a problem like this with Java 1.5.04 ?

Hi,
I've read a bit "here and there", but nothing found in this forums or any official thing by Nokia about this.
Looks like the Asha 306 and 311 phones, both touch devices, are compatible with Java applications. But I have a doubt I can't find an answer to, without a keypad, how manageable are the old java applications designed for a keypad in a touch screen for the Asha touch devices?
I've read that is possible to manage them because you can display a virtual keypad, but some say that the keypad is very large, covering all the screen. What is truth about this? What is the behavior of such touch devides with old java applications?
For example, this application if for a keypad to be manageable with the numbers as directions, is it really manageable? could someone test it?

All you can do is to search apps/games for touch screen.
There are many games designed to work with all kinds of phones. Many old java games support touch screen too.
Virtual keypad on my 701 for java apps covers half of the screen. It is comfortable to use though. Virtual keypad has navigation buttons to play games. It appears only for non touch screen games.

Just something that happened me in the past:
In the past,using one of the first versions of forms server 6,I don't know how(I couldn't reproduce the config on other machines),but I had a c-s form wich was displaying java beans(the HotLabelWrapper demo).
I thinck that forms server was also installed on that machine.

The API documentation has a link at the top of every page that says "Index". If you follow that and look for toFront(), you will find it exists in java.awt.Window and javax.swing.JInternalFrame.
