Integrating Diadem into a web app. Is this possible?

I have a development team that manages a data collection engine that is web based and I am looking into trying to integrate Diadem to it.
I want to understand my options of doing this.

Hi Tony,
As of DIAdem 2012 there is no product feature that makes it easier to create a web front end to DIAdem. You can host DIAdem with a terminal services approach such as Citrix, which will give you all of DIAdem's functionality in a web GUI. You can also host DIAdem on a cloud server if that's where your data is.
On final option is that LabVIEW offers a user programmable web server which can make calls to DIAdem via ActiveX.

Would I use a "web app" to allow a single business to log-in to just one page (their business directory listing) to make changes? I'm trying to figure out the "work flow" for this.
It seems like a "secure zone" is a page that isn't seen by the public - but the directory listings will be public pages - I want each business listing to be accessed by the business through a unique login so they can keep their page updated. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I'll read those tutorials on webapps. I have been learning to use MUSE for the past week and published it to BC, but the BC environment is so different. I understand you do the editing in MUSE and publish again. I'm hoping that businesses in a directory updating their page from the "front end" will have a user friendly environment with a web app....

Incorporate pdf into a web app

I have an asp web app
everything works great
details page - gets good here:
they want to clik on a button in the app to create a .pdf
from the web site/apps detail page?
is this possible,, is there a tool/app or command to do this
with?
i would like to have a tool that would pull the record's data
from the db and create the pdf??? wishing?

Integrating Explorer into a Java App?

Is this possible?
As I am going to be outputting some HTML, I would like to integrate IE into a java app that has been created.
I would just like to know if it's possible, and ideally, a suggestion on where I can read more on how to do it.

Integrate web part page into access web apps

Hi All,
Im using SharePoint 2013 online and Office 2013
I am working on an access project which would allow the user to upload documents to the documents folder in SP from within an Iframe in an access app all in the same SP.
The idea is that rather than having to move from one IE tab to the other the user can drag and drop the document in the iframe which will be in the pop up. then have a SP document list displaying bellow this iframe to confirm that the file has been
indeed uploaded. When I load the app I get a "This content cannot be displayed in a frame" my idea is based in a book "Professinal Access 2013 Programming" chapter 10 Inlining a web app in access web app. I have also read that I can have
a website viewer which can display a website, folder or file but its asking me for the path which I don't know and it doesn't take URLs.
I have googled and searched this forum but cant seem to get the documents forlder to display in the iframe.
I hope im clear and you guys can help me resolve this task.

Can we integrate credit card readers into a web app?

Most readers have companies that support them . . . I was wondering if it's possible to build a web app, through the online store, to utilize the plug in credit card readers for your phone??

Web apps are not eCommerce and have no public access (outside) API so ignore those.
You can create 3rd party solutions that read that data and send it to BC via the API and you can source build that if you need to.
There is nothing in BC directly for what your asking for.

My wife and I have seperate itune accounts, but want to merge them into one account or at least merge our seperate purchases into one library. Is this possible?

Basic problem...my wife has her own iTunes account which she purchases music with, I have my own that i have been purchasing music with...however, married now as we have similar tastes in music and dont want to be duplicating albums etc.
Was wondering is it possible to merge the two accounts into one account? Or if not, that we carry on purchasing music but have one shared library. Is this possible, any help appreciated.

No.
Just put all of your music/apps/etc on one computer/library. Authorize the computer for both ids.

Multiple Exchange accounts in Mail.app - is this possible?

Hi folks,
I would like to start using Mail.app with my Exchange accounts.
Now, does Mail.app support this feature?
If not can it be at least set up in such a way that through one single Exchange account I can see my other exchange accounts by delegating all the privileges to that main exchange accounts and thus doing it indirectly?

Just use IMAP for the accounts. I have 4 Exchange accounts in my Mail app and they are all set up that way. but yes, there can only be 1 Exchange account (which I believe has more to do with the Exchange API than Macs)

Integrating Digital Signatures into J2EE Web App

I have a requirement to add digital signature functionality to a J2EE web application. Our customers would like to press a �sign� button on a web page, be prompted to connect their hardware security token (e.g. USB device or smart card), and the signatures stored inside our system for later verification (e.g. in court).
The main issue I can see is that when using hardware-based tokens the private key can never leave the device, so the device itself does the signing. Whereas our J2EE Web Application has all the code on the app server tier, and the data is located on the database (and in our architecture cannot be exported to client PCs for security reasons).
Does anyone know of any solutions to this kind of requirement? Any vendor toolkits that allow this? From what I�ve read from researching this subject the pieces are all there but most web-based security solutions only implement application login authentication of one sort or another.

Login functinality into a web app. How?

The database to use in my app has several users with different roles.I wan someone to be able to use the j2ee app as a user of the database( some must not have some rights), but when I do the app the beans are generated based on a predefined connection.How can I edit that connection programaticaly so that i obtain the functionality implemented by the database? I noticed that login info is kept in content.xml. Is there a way to deal this file from a bean?
ps: I couldn't find anything relevant on the web... maybe I don't know what to search...

You're storing a reference to the session, or the login information, or something, in an instance variable of the servlet or whatever it is that does the logging in.

One-to-Many Web App + Events database possible?

Hi there,
I am building an supplier events calendar with customer booking. I want the suppliers to be able to add their own event (easy) I also want the supplier to be able to add multiple dates/times for each event.
For example: Fly Fishing Training - every Thursday night at 7:30pm in April.
Can I add multiple dates/times to an event?

We need a way to create multiple appointments in one day. What you are requesting would still be easier than what we are currently doing.
We create an event (each event has its own name which includes the time), then copy it as many times as we need for the month. Then we go back and change the dates to fill out the month.
We are working on some different options to help streamline this clunky process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Members regular gift contacts with web apps?

Hi All,
Appreciate if anyone can help. I am building an online gift shop and my customer wants the ability for the regular customers to be able to log in and store their friends and family special dates. For example, Wife's Engagement, Wife's Birthday, Sister etc.. Once these are stored, the customer can log in and simply choose the gift and select "Wife" and it will automatically add in the address details to an order form.
I am thinking to do this as a web app, but i have two main questions:
1. Can a web app be created so that a member can only see and edit those contacts he created?
2. How can an order form capture these details after the memeber selects "wife" etc..
Then further on the back of this, say he adds in wifes birthday into the web app, can this then be used by the email marketing to automatcially send an email to customer to remind him about wifes birthday and order gift?

To answer your questions about number 1: You can have a website user login to a secure zone. Once inside the secure zone you can add a form to add a web app item. Once the item is submitted by the user while they are in a secure zone it gets "attached" to their account. When a web app item is attached to a user you can show them a list of their submitted web apps in the secure zone only. You could list these publicly as well but that's not a good idea if it's a collection of personal information like addresses.
My concern with this is I know that BC creates a publick URL for each web app item. This gets included in your sitemap.xml file automatically. The only way to avoid this is to disable the web app item but that also will disable it from being show to logged in users when you list their submitted web app items.
Because of this concern I don't think it's possible to achieve what you want. The web app items are considered public and I don't think there's a way to turn that off. I hope someone has a way around this, but I can't think of one. And because web of the public nature of web app items I don't think web apps is the way to go.
You'd think that you could do it with an extended CRM dataset but I'm not sure how you'd go about it.
Re: Automated emails to your customer. That is possible. BC has a set number of fields that email campaigns use to send email campaigns against. The first one is "Birthday" and the other are open-ended for you to use any type of date-- anniversary, etc.

But, again, there's a set number of fields for anniversary dates right now in BC so they can only add a few of them which might not be applicable for your case.
