Interactive polygon-shaped buttons for web

Hello everyone,
I am a new enthusiastic subscriber of CC, and as every newcomer I have several questions. I will limit myself though to only one issue for now. Here is a link for an interactive architectural presentation I did:
http://www.transsilta.com/ncc/auringonkeha/auringonkeha.html
This file works nicely but has been built in Flash, and that's make impossible to be run on tablets and iOS. I want to rebuild it directly in html. As long as I have the full access to all CC programs, I will highly appreciate the advices from you:
- which of the programs are appropriate to obtain this result (I am sure that I have to use several)?
- how I can create an interactive polygon with fade-in and fade out effect and to use it as a button? This is essential because I have to mark precisely on the facade where is every apartment. A bounding box area does not help because the neighboring polygons will overlap on the corners if are bounding boxes, so is need such of polygons which interacts strictly within their perimeter.
Thank you in advance for your help, I am waiting forward for your answers or even for some examples if possible. Once I get the point I am sure I can develop the learning process until I will able to rebuild the presentation.
Cheers,
Ville

Hello K8,
Thank you for your answer! I've been using for a while Swiffy convertor as a compromise, but the problem with it is that it doesn't work well on all browsers. To me would be the ideal solution, to work as before and only to convert the swf into html. But simply is not working as it might.
Flash to html sounds good as a principle, but I am not using actually Flash but Swish, which does not create .fla documents, only directly swf. Do you have a recommendation for one of the possible scenarios:
- to keep converting using Swiffy, but to improve html by adding some scripts to became compatible with all browsers. I have no idea what scripts, but maybe someone can help ( I am not a programmer)
- to learn to use real Flash (I think is quite similar with Swish) and to export from there into html with a better coverage
- to have better converter than Swiffy. Any recommendation?
- to start to use Muse/Animate as intended, but I need a substantial help from someone to learn the basics.
I am waiting for your or/and other users opinion and once I will make the right decision with your help I will work on it until everything will work great.
Cheers,
Ville

  • Scripting buttons for web use

    The title is pretty self explanatory. I have a simple map

    redirect them to a certain URL but I am having no success in

    Admittedly I am not a flash guy and am trying to do this on

    I'm a noob too, but the things to look out for are firstly
    have you converted your 'buttons' into actual buttons (with a
    reasonable hit area rather than just the text) and secondly you
    need to have a thingumy first (I did say i was a noob didn't i?)
    ie...
    on(press){
    getURL("url", "window", "method");
    (insert your url, window method thingy's in there or leave
    blank with just "")
    I'm really not sure if this firstly is right or second is any
    help, but it'll give you something to try while you wait for
    someone who knows what they're talking about ;)

  • Close Button for Web Dynpro in an iView launched from UWL

    Hi All, this sounds like such a simple thing but its really got me thinking.
    Have a web dynpro application launching form the UWL into an iView (using the IViewLauncher, I'm using this so I can change some visual effects of the application with the iView).  The application is the LeaveApprover application.
    Need a close button on the confirmation screen.  Have tried the following code called from a Close button:
         try {
              String url  = WDURLGenerator.getWebResourceURL(wdComponentAPI.getDeployableObjectPart(),"closepage.html");
              TaskBinder.getCurrentTask().getClient().sendRedirect(url, 0);
         } catch (Exception e) {
              e.printStackTrace();
    The closepage >>
    function closeWindow()
    {var currWindow = window.top;
    currWindow.opener = window.top;
    currWindow.close();
    onload run the closeWindow function
    This is a test file to close the window....
    This works if I use the standard UWL launch but DOES NOT WORK with the iViewLauncher.
    Also tried creating an exit plug in the interface view and calling it from my close button, but no luck with either.
    Please help.  Thanks Brian

    Hi Brian,
    we had a similar problem in the past. We wanted to call a normal Button placed on the WebDynpro View and the close script was saved in the km content in portal.
    We solved it with an own project in NWDS including the html Files.
    Follow the link and you find our solution. Hope it helps.

  • "Save For Web" buttons change, favorite locations

    Adobe,
    Why did you move the Save, Cancel and Done buttons to the bottom of the Save For Web dialog box? In CS3 (which I just upgraded from) they were right above the file format/quality selectors, which was perfect for choosing a format and quickly clicking Save. Obviously the location of the buttons isn't urgent, I'm just wondering why you moved them to the bottom when probably all of the other dialog boxes have the buttons at the top (such as filters).
    Also, why is the "favorite locations" feature only available when loading a file? Why isn't it there when saving?

    Ask a marketing person about the concept of "New and Improved!" some time.

  • Not able to find Interactive View Mode for WEBI in BI LaunchPad Preferences (BI 4.1 SP04).

    Hi
    I am not able to find Interactive View Mode for WEBI in BI LaunchPad's Preferences. It used to be there for BOXI R3. Is this feature has been revoked by SAP in this new release. Please confirm and clarify. Thanks!!

    Hi,
    In BI 4.0, We don’t have the option of Interactive mode, the only modes for viewing WebI documents are as follows:
    1) Web:  it is similar to the Interactive mode in XI 3.1. It means that you will use the HTML interface in BI launch pad to create, edit and analyze documents.
    2) Rich Internet Application: This is similar to the Java Report Panel in XI 3.1.
    You are using the Java interface in BI launch pad to create, edit and analyze documents .
    But this requires the download of a Java applet.
    3) Desktop (Windows only): in this case you are using Web Intelligence Desktop to create and edit documents, a standalone interface that works outside the BI launch pad. But this requires an install on your local machine.
    4)  PDF: Same as in BO XI 3.1
    All view modes except PDF, have "Reading" and "Design" mode.
    When you view a WebI document, the default mode is "Reading".
    When you modify a WebI document, the default mode is "Design".
    The user should use the modify option or view > Design, if he wants to modify a report.

    In Firefox 23 versions and later the keyword.URL pref is no longer supported and it is no longer possible to specify the search engine for the location bar via the keyword.URL pref.<br />
    The search engine that is used on the location bar and on the about:home page is the search engine that is selected in the search Bar on the Navigation Toolbar.<br />
    Current Firefox versions do not update the about:home home page until you refresh the page (future versions will do this automatically without a refresh) and that is what happens if you use the Back key.
    You can install the Keyword Search extension to specify with search engine to use for the location bar and which search engine to use for the about:home page via the Options/Preferences windows of this extension, accessible via the about:addons page.

  • "Save for Web and Devices" button not working anymore

    I can't use the Save for Web and Devices button anymore. Is there a reason for that, I didn't pay 500$ for a software that won't work.

    Hi Mylenium,
    I use Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
    As for what I did for it not to work anymore, I did nothing at all. This happen in two steps from what I remember, first the button was working but it was not opening the usual window with 4 different file types you can save the image as, it was giving me an error window that said something in the lines of "Could not initialize". Afterwards, the "Save for Web and Devices" link just became greyed out, and was just un-usable. It's not making sence that I did nothing and the software just does not work properly, I'm wondering if any of the other software in the suit that I purchased do the same thing, and is there a way to fix this.

  • Create interactive epub for web

    Hi, I understand that we can create epubs for ipads like this with inDesign: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/tutorials/video/build-single-issue-magazine-ipad.ht ml
    I would like to create an interactive annual report to be published on a website. Similar concept as the the above, but not for ipad, only for web.
    Please let me know if this is possible and are there any tutorials?
    Thank you in advance!

    Thank you for your replies!
    What would be the best solution to create a pdf (with clickable images etc) to be embedded into a website?
    Thanks!

  • Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar in ff4? It isn't included in the Customize box. Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option compeletly gone from Firefox now?

    Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option completely gone from Firefox now? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

    In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
    When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
    If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. For more details on customizing the toolbar see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar

    Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 21.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
    *Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will lose all personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
    Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

    Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

  • How do I make full screen button for interactive PDF

    I know in Acrobat I can set the PDF to open in full screen mode. I want the PDF to open in normal view. There will be a full screen button. Click once and the PDF expands to full screen. Click again and the PDF reverts to normal size.
    I wasn't sure where to post this but figured this is the place to start. Any advice on how to do this appreciated.
    Here's a movie of a PDF that has the feature I'm seeking:
    Full Screen Normal Screen button
    Was testing the link and I see you need QT Pro to download. Here's a zip archive of the same movie for download.
    Movie Download

    The client (a woman's club) indicated that about half the women found the full screen annoying and the other half found normal view annoying. So I made it an option. Also, most PDFs I receive such as ID magazine have the option to view normal or full.
    One thing I haven't figured out is how to get the page you're on to be highlighted. So if you go to page 5 in PDF, I would want the button for 5 to be highlighted in red. I ended up using page numbers but would like to be a bit more streamlined.
    I received a PDF the other day and at the top when the page numbers and left/right arrows are, the page numbers read
    FC, IFC, 1, 2, etc.,
    IBC, BC. I thought that was pretty cool. I imagine it has something to do with pagination in ID. Have to see if I can figure that out.

  • Saving for web remember button

    I have a piece of artwork that I regualarly amend and then save as a png file, however the image size is always too small. I have to change the image size every time and click apply. I have tried clicking Alt and remember but it is always the same next time I save for web.
    Am I doing something wrong?
    Any suggestions?

    You need to use the scale tool to make your illustrator vector object larger to the size you need. If for example you want an image that is 720 px wide, then make your image 10" in Illustrator. Save for web defaults to 72 dpi (well very close like 71.XXXX, you will see what I am talking about if you do a 10" rectangle, this annoys me as you still have to go in and fix for 1 pixel, unless you play with soekm micro scaling to find the sweet spot)
    The remember is only for the optimization settings, and sadly does not remember the image size
