Interactive Reports Action Menu buttons not working

We are running Apex 4.02 and using theme 11 (round green). We recently upgraded to IE 10 (on windows server 2008 R2) and are now experiencing issues with all interactive reports within Apex. The Action menu is displayed correctly and the options are available but the buttons to apply the changes do not seem to respond.
For example, I can press the Action button then select Format->Sort from the actions menu. The sort by options are displayed but nothing happens when I press the Cancel or Apply buttons. There is no error - it looks like the button press is not executing the code.
I have searched for issues specifically related to Apex but have only been able to find references to general problems with IE 10 and Ajax calls. I'm not sure whether IRs are using Ajax as part of it's core functionality and whether this is the behaviour we are seeing.
I'm keen to understand whether others have encountered this problem and resolved the issue somehow. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I would have set this up somewhat differently. I'd have all of your buttons set to pause the slide in exactly the same spot about 1.5 seconds into the slide. To set the variable for completion of a section I would have used a standard or conditional action that was executed by the button that brings the learner back to the menu slide. This action would set the variable and then jump back to the menu slide using the button's On Success action. You need one of these actions per separate section in your project.
As to why some of your buttons are not working at all...
1. They may not be set up correctly. Check all settings again.
2. The buttons may be corrupted. Delete the ones that don't work and insert new ones. Avoid copying and pasting.

Interactive Reports - Actions Menu - Download option

The interactive report Actions Menu has many wonderful options. The action that my users will use the most is the Download. Is there any way to create a button or text link for the download, similar to what is shown in the classic report? The users want the Download button to show up on the bottom left side of the IR. Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in preview.

Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in encore preview. This only happens for a Blu ray project. When a user presses the menu button it should go to the previous menu they were on but it goes to the main menu. When they press the title button they should go to the main menu but it doesn't do anything. My DVD projects work as expected.I've tried creating a new "test" project with different footage and still get the same undesirable results.
Overrides grayed out and set to "not set" for timelines and menus.Project settings and build are set to blu ray. Also I've noticed when I preview a Bluray project the preview window shows a red colored disc next to the Title button when viewing the timelines and green when playing the menus but not so for a DVD project it displays red if motion menus and or timelines are not rendered/encoded. I'm not using motion menus and all the media is encoded according to the project specs.
I've searched this forum but couldn't find the answer. Any help or redirects to a solution would be appreciated. Working with CS5. Thanks.

I found out on my Samsung Blu ray player the remote has a tools button on it that brings up audio, angle, chapter selection etc.and also title selection which is actually the menus and the timelines unfortunately. It's not as easy or direct as last menu selected but it's a workaround at least. I also plan on using a pop up menu. I'll let you know.

You are using a Spry menubar widget. Spry was created pre-touch-screen systems and hence not designed for touch screens.
There are a number of solutions available to you
1. Don't have an active link on the main menu item
2. Place submenus in the page that is opened by the main menu item, e.g. as a vertical menu
3. Use Spry Menu Bar ver 2.0
3. Use a different menu system that is geared to accommodate touch screens

There are a number of free-of-charge jQuery menubars, you could also opt for one of the commercial menubars such as PVII, WebAssist or DMXZone

Menu button not working

I've got a 6gb mini, had it since Sept 05. Yesterday the menu button stopped working, so I can't choose what music it plays, it only plays on shuffle as I can't get back up. I haven't done anything to it so I wondered what to do. I got my iPod in the US but I live in the UK. I bought the Applecare Protection Plan when I got it but forgot to enroll it, so I don't know if it's still valid. It should still be covered under the protection but I don't know if I've left it too late to register it. What do I do?

"Jump To" action on button not working

First, let me say that I have read a ton of messages on this
topic before posting this. Unfortuantely I have tried for over 5
hours to resolve this but no success. What is particularly strange
is the fact that this project file was published and working for a
few weeks but now is no longer acting correctly regarding the "jump
to slide" action for buttons.
I have built a project of about 30 slides. There are 4 quiz
questions, with scoring, that are programmed into the project. If
the user gets a passing score, their next slide is a 'success' page
and they continue on. However, if they do not pass (all 4 questions
must be correct) they are taken to a "fail" page that has 2 buttons
- 1 button is to go BACK to a previous slide where major content
is; the second button takes them BACK to the very first question
slide.
When I select the "jump to slide" choice from the "on
success" pull-down menu, the buttons do not work. When I select
another action choices, such as "open URL" or something else, they
do work. I have selected the "allow backward movement" choice from
the quiz manager which I have read in other posts saying that may
need to be selected. I have also checked my quiz scoring logic
making sure that if they are passing the quiz, they end up on a
different slide than if they fail the quiz.
I have also tried making a completely new movie with a slide
that has the "jump to slide" on a button and it does not work. I
have tried copying/pasting slides from one project file into
another but no go.
Really stuck bad and cannot afford any more time to
troubleshoot. I'd rather not have to remove the quiz and dependent
branching but may have to.
Is there an Adobe Support person I can send this project file
to for review?

Let me fist say - "I feel your pain". I too have been going
though this for the past 6 hours with a peer and when requiring
100% pass to continue it would not go back. Here is what should
work for you that yes, Adobe has not covered well in their
documentation:
Go to Edit Question-->Edit Quiz-->Reporting--> Have
100% or more of total score to continue.
Then Quiz--->Quiz/Required--> Change from "Pass
Required - the user must pass this quiz to continue" to "Required -
the user take this quiz to continue"
And Quiz/Settings--> Allow backward movement checked
Then Options-->If Failing Grade--->Jump to slide/Slide
This should work for you. What I found out was that if you
have Pass Required instead of Required along with Allow backward
movement not together it hangs at the score results. If you have it
set for Pass Required you don't even get past the last Question
Slide.

Download from Interactive Report to csv is not working

Hi there,
when I try to create a download form my interactive report I get an empty csv/pdf.
I just checked with other report pages where the download functionality is working - but the settings seem the same.
In the interactive report properties I've set the check boxes for csv and pdf and it is also displayed properly then on the report page. But when I click on the download (csv or pdf) just an empty document is opened.
What settings can I check now - what might be the reason for the error?

You're using the "Display Condition" of the Interactive Report Region (IRR) to show the report or not.
If you have multiple selects just use a PL/SQL expression as in:

AND :P1_MULTI_2 IS NOT NULLNow, if that works for you lets take things a little further... You don't need the second submit button all the time (I'd get rid of it entirely but you seem to really want to hide the region until a selection is made). I did the following:
1. Updated the display condition of the report to use a PL/SQL expression.
2. Set the display condition of the submit button to the opposite of the IRR.
3. Added the item name of the select to the interactive report attributes > Advanced Attributes > Page Items to Submit.
Now the go button can be used for everything.

Interactive Report Search bar is not working

Hello all,
I'm working on a Report. I has two regions, one is for select list criteria and Other is sql query.
To remove the No data forund. I added REQUEST = 'GO' for sql region.
When i run the report, selecting all my criterias and click search i get the interactive report.But the tool is not working. If i remove the REQUEST = 'GO' it's working.
Can anybody please help me.

Menu buttons not working in Apple DVD Player

I am having a real problem. I have a menu with three buttons. The default button takes you either of the other buttons (depending on whether you press right or down on the remote). These two buttons are auto-action and proceed imediately to other tracks. This works perfectly in home DVD players and in the Apple DVD Player using the "remote". Howver, if I try clicking the buttons using a mouse on the Apple DVD Player window, they DO NOT work! I have buttns over video on the same disc and these work perfectly by clicing on them with the mouse. Has anyone else had a problem like this and if so, have you found a solution? Many thanks!

Is the one that doesn't work a layered menu? DVD Player does not work correctly with layered menus, it takes one click to switch to the selected state, and a second click to activate the button.

S110 menu button not working

Hi,
We're on our honeymoon and been taking good pictures without any problems with Canon S110 until yesterday. The camera suddenly has the following problems:
1. turn on normally but then immediately taking one photo no matter what mode it's on.
2. once the single photo was taken, the camera completely freeze except the display button working and the delete button (working but not be able to select delete)
3. shutter button and zoom in or out is completely useless
3. MENU button is NOT working at all
We have been trying the following:
- new fully charged batterry
- new SD card
- turn off and remove both battery and SD card overnight
It's very frustrated and we only have this camera on this trip. Please help!!!

Just registered to report my solution.
I have a similar problem with the PowerShot S110 of my wife's sister.
At some time a menu button and all joystick buttons stop working.
The problem was because of sticking zoom control (yeah it's very stupid).
At the normal state zoom control must return to central position!
When zoom control is on the left or right position - some buttons don't work.
I hope this info will be usefull to someone.

Layered menu buttons not working when built.

I have a project that has one menu and one track. The menu has 7 buttons linked to 7 different markers in the track. When I run the simulation in DVD SP, the buttons link fine, and play as they should...but when I build the project and run it in DVD player or burn it to a disk, the buttons do not work.
If I create a non-layered menu, the buttons will work when built...
I feel like i'm just missing one little setting on the layered menu

Don't forget that a layered menu will normally need two presses to get anything to happen, one to select the button and the second to activate it.
That said, are you sure that you have got the psd file set up correctly? I would recommend using a background layer with everything on it that you want to appear when not selected, then only adding layers with the changes necessary to show the button selection/activation.

Menu Buttons not working

I have produced a DVD from movies made in imovie HD 6.0.3 using iDVD version 6.0.4 and find that the buttons cannot all be selected by the DVD player remote control and also the buttons do not appear to be navigated in the correct order. I would appreciate some advive, please.

Different themes seem to work differently, but in general I have found that the buttons in iDVD created DVDs don't always behave like commercial DVDs in respect to what happens when I hit buttons on my DVD player remote. It been that way as long as I remember.
iDVD includes MANY simplifying assumptions that make things easier for home users. If you want full control of what the menu buttons do, you need something like DVD Studio Pro. Most of us just live with the 'quirks'.

Menu button not working on iphone4

The lower menu button has stopped working on the iphone 4. Anyway to fix it or do we have to buy a new phone?

Are you sure? Have to actually tried holding the MENU and SELECT buttons to reset it? Sometimes this works even though the menu button doesn't appear to work otherwise.
If it's not working though, you might try restoring it.

Menu button not working on ipod

My ipod isn't happy... It's a 4th generation 20gb click wheel model and I've had it for about 6 months. For some reason on the click wheel the 'menu' button will not react when I try and press it which means I am pretty much stuck for navigating around my ipod. I can't do the manual reboot as that requires you to be able to press menu which I can't do. Any ideas?

Apple Remote Menu button not working on 80gb Classic iPod

The subject pretty much sums it up, I tested the Menu button with Frontrow and it works as expected...is my dock broken or is the iPod bad?

Wow. So, they sell it with a device that is made for iPods.
They put a button on it that reads "Menu", just like the button on the iPod, but doesn't provide the same function, in fact, no function at all, while it would be great if it HAD this function.
Interesting. I don't think even Microsoft would dare to pull this one off.
