Interest Calculation base days

Dear All,
I have configured interest calculation for line item & balances with the calender type as G.
During the execution of FINT, system consideres base days as 366. Our fiscal year is April 2008 - March 2009. Summing up the days it is only 365.
Please let me know the solution so that system calculates the interest based on 365 days.
Thanks & Regards,
Ajay Gupte

  • Setting up Interest calculation base on principal repayment amount

    Hi Experts,
We have a loan contract that have interest calculated base from the principal repayment amount.
is there anyway we can enter such an interest condition?
Any assistant will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
interest cannot be calculated from the repayment-condition (1120) - if we speak about Money Market.
You either pay the interest or you capitalize the interest (calculated always on the Payment amount).

  • Dunning interest calculation - taking 360 days instead of 365 days

    Dear Friends,
I have done the dunning customization and forms are generating properly including the days in arrears.  But for the dunning interest calculation, it is taking only 360 days instead of 365 days. Because of this, there is a difference in interest amount in dunning (F150 tcode) and interest calculation (FINT tcode).
Please guide me how to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Interest calculating for 364 days in year

    hi
i am calculating interest for 1 april to 31 march for the previous year but instead of taking 365 days it is calculating for 364 days. can you tell that what i have to do to correct it.
    Thanks

Hi You can see in the payment terms you mentioned as one day due to this it will calculate the interest only 364 days.
If the payment terms are correct then while running the interest( f.4b or f.2b etc.) there select the layout as open items include postings and select calculate the ineterest on net due dates then it will work properly

I still have query would like to seek for your advise.
1.Does the interest calculation generate the interest base on the dunning run?For example, the interest is only can be post/generated when there is dunning run and vise versa.
2.What are relationship between interest calculation generate ?Does interest generation depand on the dunning run?

  • Interest calculation on cutomer DUE items using FINT option

    Hi.
I am using FINT option to calculate interest run for customer due items.
I have posted a customer inivoice using F-22 with posting date as 05.01.2011. I gave the tolerance days as 7 days.
Therefore system is showing that the customer open item as DUE on 11.01.2011 in FBL5N.
When i run FINT option with date as 12.01.2011 system is picking only overdue items and not picking this DUE item.
Can anyone help me in this issue.
    Regards,
    Padmavathi

    Dear Murali,
I have changed the option in item interest calculation - Ref date as 1 - Value date (or base line date for net payment). Earlier i gave the option as 4 - payment baseline date.
Since i changed the ref date as 1 system is calculating the interest from net due date instead of posting date.
    This is solved.
But one more problem is that in the system for the interest indicator i gave from date as 01.01.2011 that means system should select open items from the invoice date 01.01.2011. But system is selecting all open items in that customer a/c irrespective of date given for the initerest indicator when i run FINT option. In FINT option i gave interest indicator from and to as B1. still the system is selecting all open items irrespective of date given for interest indicator.
    Can you help me.

  • FINT interest calculation on cust overdue items from net due date required

    Hi.
I am running FINT option i am running interest calculation from net due date onwards whereas the system is calculating the interest from Next date of due date.
For example: Customer invoice is raised on 01.01.2011 and Net due date is 01.01.2011. I gave the option in the interest calculation - SPRO - FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING(NEW) - ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AND ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS - INTEREST CALCULATION - PREPARE ITEM INTEREST CALCULATION, Ref date as as 1 - Value date (Baseline date from Net Payment).
Still the system is calculating the interest from 02.01.2011 instead of from 01.01.2011.
Can anyone help me in this regard.
    Regards,
    Padmavathi

    Hi,
We can calculate interest on items cleared with in the calculation period.
When you are calculating interest on open items, system will check open items as on the Calculation Date.
But if you want to calculate Interest on items cleared with in the calculation period., you have to check Calculate Interest on Cleared Items also.
For Instance: If you are calculating Interest on 31st July for the period of 01.07.2009 to 31.07.2009, in this case
some open items are already cleared with in this calculation period, even though you have to calcuate interest for those cleared items for that many days. System will calculate interest for that many days.
Try with this option, still if you need any help please let me know.
    Thanks
    Chandra

  • Customer interest calculation on both open & cleared items

    Hi,
I have created a Interest Calculator Indicator Z1 for that following configuration is made.
    1. Int Global Settings> Prepare Interest on Arrears Calculation-> Z1 under selection of items I have selected the open & cleared items.
    2. Int Global Settings> Prepare Item Interest Calculation-> Z1 under items selection I have selected the open items & all cleared items.
But when I am running the FINT - Interest Calculation for customer selecting the Interest Indicator Z1 system is calculating only open items but in configuration I have selected both open and all cleared items. Still its considering only open items.
Kindly provide the way to resolve this problem.
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    Thanks Chintan for immediate reply...
I have check the solution given by you but not a single cleared document is not considering in FINT. I have one case like I have  posted one entry on 01.10.2010 & one same day I have reversed I need that entry should come in the same calculation. This will not effect in amount as it will get plus minus zero.

    gk

    Dear Sriram,
    It is possible:-
1.You have to create Interest Calculation Type for Customer SD Int Calculation say (R1)
2.Go to OBAA and maintain R1 there.
    3.Go to Prepare Sp GL Transaction Interest Calculation (Maintain R1 - D - H - R1
4.In OBAC Maintain R1and select from date
    5. Define Time dependant interest terms
6.In OB83 define the rate of interest
7.Go to OBV3 and maintain Account Determination for Int Posting (Select Account Symbol for Posting Key and again Assign GL code to same Account Symbol)
    8. Maintain R1 in the Customer master to whom Interest will be payable.
Then Run Interest calculation posting T Code:-f.52

  • Inquiry on Interest Calculation using Interest on Arrears for Accounts Rece

Question:How can we calculate interest on the number of days from the document date, but only start selecting the item for interest after the item is past due?
    Scenario:
         Document date - March 18th
         Due date - April 2nd
    Desired results:
    1) When running interest at the end of march the invoice will not be selected (as it is not past due)
    2) When running interest at the end of April, Interest should be assessed for 12 days for March and 30 days for April (if past due, interest is calculated from the original document date and not the past due date).
    Attempt:
In config I tried to set up the Interest Indicator (in Prepare Item Interest Calculation) to have Ref Date as Document Date, but the calculation still returns only 19 days for April (using due date).
Does SAP support this business requirement?
    Thank you,
    Rachel

    Hi,
Please make use of the event 2010-Interest: Exclude Items.
Here all the line items on the account are passed one by one and records which are eligible for interest calculations are retained and rest are excluded by RAISE item_blocked.
You can put the check in this event on the amount.

    Gaurav.

  • Error in Interest Calculation of Dunning Wizard

In our company the Local currency is USD, the system currency is CAD. I am running Dunning Wizard for a BP with two invoices past due. Both invoices are in CAD, however in the interest calculation, the interest amount is shown in USD only which does not make sense, and even when I try to change it to CAD values, it won't let me and give error msg "wrong currency".
    Question:
    1. What is the fix for this problem ?
    2. We are in SAP B1 version 2005, SP1 patch 45. Will this problem be fixed in version 2005 latest patch (56) ? If not, will it be fixed in version 2007?
I do have a printscreen but don't know how I can upload to the thread.

Below is the answer I got from SAP support and I tested it's working. Put it here for the benefit of others who may have the same problem.
    Reference: SAP Note 0000950583
Dunning Wizard displays Local Currency instead BP Currency
    Symptom
When running the 'Dunning Wizard' the interest currency is always set as local currency instead of the business partners currency.
    Other terms
Dunning, wizard, interest, amount, foreign, currency, local, system, LC, SC, FC, MC, display, show, present, SAP Business One
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Solution
    Example:
    Local currency: Currency A
    System Currency: Currency B
    BP Currency: Currency C
The currencies displayed in the Dunning Wizard Recommendation Report are defined under Administration - Definitions - Business partners - Define Dunning Terms.
Interest amount - The interest amount calculated for the invoice. The calculation is done in accordance with the defined dunning term assigned to the customer (by the remaining amount or the amount in the original document).
Use Original Exchange Rate from Invoice: The basis for interest calculation is the local currency this will display the local currency name on the Recommendation Report Dunning Wizard.
Use Current Exchange Rate: The basis for interest calculation will be in foreign currency this will display the foreign currency name on the Recommendation Report Dunning Wizard.
In addition, the interest and total sum displayed in the Dunning Wizard report will be in local currency, and all other values in foreign currency.
To display the interest amount in foreign currency on Dunning Wizard select "Use Current Exchange Rate" on "Define Dunning Terms" this will display the foreign currency name on the Recommendation Report Dunning Wizard.

  • Interest Calculation on posting date and due date

    Hi
I want vendor interest calculation on due date as well as posting date. Let me know how to get it. According to me only its possible on the basis of one date only.

    HEllo!
In the report RFINTITAR, you use the interest indicator customizing:
IMG   > Prepare Item Interest Calculation   > Ref. Date
    (table V_T056UX)   >  field Ref.
(FI Item Interest Calculation: Reference Date)
You have the possibility to define what You need to be considered as
incoming payment due date, choosing between:
1 Value Date (or Baseline Date for Net Payment)
    2 Document Date
    3 Posting Date
    4 Payment Baseline Date
As you can use one interest indicator per customer/vendor you can use only of the dates is used. But, in this
program you can use the BADI FI_INT_CUS01. Please, check if you can meet your business requirements using the methods
    of the BADI.

  • Interest calculation on due date

    Hi
I want interest calculation from duedate (which is 30 days from invoice date). In one of the step of configuration, i defined Interest calculation indicator as VK. In that there is a option which says from where interest needs to be calculated. There are options:
Value Date (or Baseline Date for Net Payment)
    Document Date
    Posting Date
    Payment Baseline Date
There is nothing as due date. Please let me know how to do this.
Is Value date the due date ?

    HI Deepak,
You do not need to select that interest should be calculated on overdue items which means from due date,,,this is standard settings...
