Interface level comments....

(Using JDK1.4.0 and the javadoc tool supplied with it. Platform:
WinXP Pro, using Textpad as editor.)
I've created a class with class level comments before, but when I try it
with an interface the resulting javadoc doesn't show the comment.
Example:
* This is a class comment explaining what this class does.
public class foobar {
That works fine, and I can see the comment at the top of the description for the class.
* This is a comment explaining what this interface is for.
public interface barfoo {
I get nothing when I look at this interfaces javadoc. The method and variable definitions for my code are all there, but I do want an explanation of the interface as well.
Thanks in advance,
Luggy

I've never heard of this complaint. We certainly don't have problems
with interface comments. I suggest looking at things other than the
comment, such as: will the interface compile? is it in a file whose
filename is the same as the interface? Please send the source file
to javadoctool at sun.com and I'd be happy to try it.

  • Variable Scope at package or interface level

    Hi,
Can we set the ODI Project variable scope to package or interface level
because in my project im using a last rundate refresh variable this variable value will be changed at the time of execution of each package.
    Thanxs
    Madhavi

you can create it as "Not Persistent" and then its value exist per ODI session.
In this way, several sessions can keep independent value to the same variable.

The security popup really messes with the focus in Firefox (3.6.16) though. Not saying you're wrong, but I'm using FireFox 3.6.16, as well, and I have none of the focus troubles you've described.Cannot reproduce it now either. Weird.I got the impression you were referring to keyboard focus, so I did some further tests on focus behavior. The test results are listed in the Accumulated Results table on the 1st post.
The only browser so far that works as I'd expect, or at least as I'd like, is IE.
Applets and keyboard navigation have always been a PITA. Some time ago I vaguely recall seeing an update involving a new parameter to regulate initial focus (applet or page, ..or another applet), but for the life of me I cannot locate it now. Given that it was a parameter for initial focus, I doubt it would help in this case.

  • Include only interfaces and package-level comments -

    hi jd forum -
forgive if this is covered elsewhere. i've found references to -include, -exclude, and 'docset', but i can't find these in the documentation at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/tooldocs/win32/javadoc.html (maybe it's for a different version).
i want to only include documentation for interfaces and exclude the classes -- and / or include documentation on a filename basis -- like 'document only IBI*.java.' also, i want to include ONLY package-level documentation (package.html) for some packages but not the javadocs for their associated classes...
are these things possible? i've looked into -package, -protected, and -public, but these don't seem to cover it.
    thanks in advance;
    -m

The -include and -exclude options and @docset tag were considered for 1.4 but then decided against by the Javadoc team as we look for other solutions.
You can document all public interfaces by passing their source filenames in to javadoc. Say, if the source files are in ./src, then:
    javadoc -d docs ./src/com/package/Interface1.java /src/com/package/Interface2.java
You can use the wildcard asterisk here as well:
    javadoc -d docs ./src/IBI*.java
There's no way to document the package-level documentation without the associated classes. Javadoc 1.4 has an -exclude option, but it works only to exclude packages from the -subpackages option, which is a shortcut for passing in package names.
A workaround could be to put the package.html file in a doc-files directory and then add a link to it in overview.html. It won't be processed, so won't have the navigation bars on the top and bottom, and cannot be automatically linked to from other places (index).

  • USB Recording Audio Interface levels are visible but no sound.

I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2 In/2 Out USB Recording Audio Interface hooked up to my iMac via USB cable.
On the System Preserences Sound Page, the computer recognizes the device and levels are visible.
But there is no sound coming out of my internal speakers/headphones.
I tried recording some music and it recorded fine and played back fine, I'm just unable to monitor the sound as it's coming in.
I've also tried a completely different device with the same outcome.

No, you have every business being here as any help is greatly appreciated.
When you say "core audio" what are you referring to?
Ok, here's what I see in the system preferences->sound window:
Output is set to Internal Speakers
Input is set to my device, the Scarlett 2i2 USB
When I play sound thru the device I can see levels where it says 'Input level'.
Now here's the MIDI setup->audio devices window:
Input is set to Scralett 2i2 USB (hightlighted in the left window with a microphone icon next to it).
just below that it reads 2 in/ 2 out
Output is set to Built-In Output (hightlighted in the left window with a dual smling face box icon and a speaker icon next to it).
just below that it reads 0 in/ 2 out
On the right is the Ch/Volume/Value/dB/Mute wondow
Master volume slider is in Light Grey and un-slidable
1 and 2 are Dark Grey and slidable.
That's pretty much it, sound comes in fine yet no sound from interal speakers.
Now I feel a crying spell coming on. Excuse me. Weep weep weep........

  • "mpls ip" global vs interface level command

What is the purpose of "mpls ip" global command? I think just enabling mpls on an interface by using "mpls ip" should be sufficient, but then what is the purpose of the global level command?

    Usage Guidelines
Globally enabling MPLS forwarding does not enable it on the interfaces. You must enable MPLS forwarding on the interfaces separately.
MPLS forwarding of packets along normally routed paths (also called dynamic label switching) is enabled by this command. For a given interface to perform dynamic label switching, this switching function must be enabled.
The no form of this command stops dynamic label switching for all the interfaces regardless of the interface configuration; it also stops distribution of labels for dynamic label switching. However, the no form of this command does not affect the sending of labeled packets through the LSP tunnels.

  • GRC 5.3 CUP - Role level comment(Role approver comments)

I have recently noticed that comments enterd by our role approvers are being cut short. Does anyone know if their is a character limit on this field?

    Hi Kevin,
I had a simmillar issue with the textfield "request reason" when change a role vía ERM and the request is sent to to CUP workflow, there´s a textbox that allows you to comment the role changes. Are you talking about this?
I used to write large explanations there and I realized that this explanations were shortened (cut) automaticaly by the application. I raised a SAP message and they told me that this is a functionality that they will take into account for the next patches and proposed me to write the comments in the "detailed description" field ("unlimited" lenght) instead as a workaround. I´m using SP 15, so i don´t know if this functionality was included in recently patches. maybe u can have a look on the patch info for the AC component.

  • Authorization Concepts  on Interface Level

    Hello!
I have a scenario, where a couple of Services are published as SOAP Web Service throug SAP XI 3.0 which are defined by an Outbound Interface published as a WebService (via SOAP Adapter).
From reading the documentation i figured out it is possible to define a technical user in the User Management for an external system to authenticate and use this Web Services.
Is there any possibility to ensure one technical user can only acess a defined count of interfaces.
This could be important if some services (= outbound interfaces) should not be accesible for other technical users.
I didn't find any way how to do this in the documentation
    Thanks!

    Hi
As per SP13 Release Document it is possible to restrict access of certain users, for this go thru this link

  • Netconfig job on the interface level

I am trying to create a netconfig job to remove ip helpers from my vlan interfaces.  Is this possible?  How can this be accomplished?  Thank you for your input.

This might be better accomplished with a baseline compliance template instead of a Netconfig job.  Create a new advanced baseline template with the following configuration:
Submode: interface [#Vlan.*#]Body:- ip helper-address [HELPER]
That should remove all ip helper-address entries from all Vlan interfaces.

  • Ssid configuration can be done at config level as well as under interface level : which will be recommanded

    Hi,
I need to configure two ssids in 1142 aps and i have gone some cisco documents where it is mentioned that we can configure ssid in config mode as well as under interface mode.
which one will be convenient method to configure ?
Particularly i am looking for 1142 configuration .....

    Hi Vinod,
We need to configure the SSID in both.. that is under config mode and also under interface..lemme be clear.. the one which we configure under config mode is to configure the SSID.. so configureing SSID alone will not help us in getting the wireless netwok up and running.. so we need t ouse this SSID for radio so that it gets broadcasted... so both are needed.. that is..
************** This is to configure the SSID *****************
    conf t
    dot11 ssid
    end
****************** This is like giving life to the configured SSID****************
    conf t
    int dot11 0 / 1
    ssid
lemme know if this answered your question..

  • Sending Error mail for Interface level Failure

    Dear SDN,
I have a requirement where i cannot use alerts or ccms. My scenario is to devlop a monitoring solution where if any messages fails due to whatever reason i need to send 2 emails to the sapxi admin and to the business informing the error.
The error has to be identified by tracing the status of the messages in sxmb_moni. So what can be a fesible solution given that alerts can not be used. Can writing a report to extract the messages in error and call a function module to send email ??
    Thanks and regards,
    Anirban.

    Hi Anirban,
IF you debug SXMB_MONI, you will get the function module that extracts this data which is stored in table.
This will give you only the SXMB_MONI errors. Not the adapter errors.
For the adapter errors, you can raise alert and and then retrieve the data from the table in your same report.

  • Interface on asa.

    Hi ,
I have connected a firewall inside interface to l3 switch.
    on l3 switch
    int gi0/1
    no switchport
    ip address 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0
    no shut
    on firewall
    int gi0/1
    nameif inside
    security level 100
    ip address 192.168.10.2 255.255.255.0
If i ping to 192.168.10.2 from firewall thus it ping.
As i know inside host can ping to inside interface. But not any opposite interface such as dmz etc.(need access-list)

    Hi Prashant,
    Here are two things involved.
    1. Ping to the far end interface.
The ASA will not allow to ping the far end interface, for example is you are a host connected on the Inside network and ping the Inside interface the ASA will reply, but if you try to ping the DMZ interface from a host on the inside this will not answer and is expected.
    2. Permit traffic from lower to higer interfaces.
All the traffic from higher interface level to lower interface level is permitted by default but is deny the other way around, from lower to higher.
If you need to permit traffic from lower to higher you need to enter a access-list on the lower level interface to permit traffic to the higher security level (If you are on version 8.2 or earlier you might need to add a NAT rule)
    For example:
    Inside security level 100
    Outside security level 0
    Inside host 192.168.1.1
    access-list outside_access_in permit ip any host 192.168.1.1
    access-group outside_access_in in interface outside
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00806745b8.shtml
    I hope these helps.

I tried to follow the following thread and got some errors.
    Dynamic expression in interface
When I execute the interface alone with out Java procedure(<@=result@>) its working.

When I right click and execute its working without the Java Procedure result in the interface.
When I execute as a package I am getting same error message with or with out the procedure variable in the interface at the step "Insert flow into I$ table"
