  • Implementing Internationalization in Oracle ADF, small problem

    Hi all i have simple question,
    i cant internationalization Search and Select popup dialog.
    I read all document about Implementing Internationalization in Oracle ADF and cant see where are make mistake.
    Any way i did:
    Create Java class in view project:
    public class BLAFBundle_sr extends ListResourceBundle {
    public Object[][] getContents()
    return contents;
    static final Object[][] contents = {
    {"SEARCH_TEXT", "Pretraga"},
    {"SIMPLE_SEARCH_TEXT", "Prosta pretraga"},
    {"ADVANCED_SEARCH_TEXT", "Napredna pretraga"}
    Set faces-config as
    <locale-config>
    <default-locale>sr</default-locale>
    <supported-locale>sr</supported-locale>
    </locale-config>
    <resource-bundle>
    <base-name>SistemskeKlase.BLAFBundle_sr</base-name>
    <var>sr</var>
    </resource-bundle>
    Set my internet explorer on sr language,
    Set view project to use Automaticly sync bundle
    and default bundle name as SistemskeKlase.BLAFBundle_sr
    And nothing happened after building and running project

    I think you are using incorrect resource string name in your method
    static final Object[][] contents = {
    {"SEARCH_TEXT", "Pretraga"},
    {"SIMPLE_SEARCH_TEXT", "Prosta pretraga"},
    {"ADVANCED_SEARCH_TEXT", "Napredna pretraga"}
    }I can't find these strings SEARCH_TEXT,SIMPLE_SEARCH_TEXT,ADVANCED_SEARCH_TEXT in Selectors for Skinning Fusion's ADF Faces Components

  • Internationalization with Oracle Database

    Hi folks!
    I am new to internationalization. We have an application wherein the input of the data can be in 3 languages - english, haitian creole and spanish.
    There is going to be 1 central authority of the entire system which would like to retrieve and study whole data in English only.
    How can we go about developing this kind of system? Do we need to maintain 3 different databases or can this be handled with a single database? Do we need to use some third party translator tool to achieve this?
    This is urgent as we are stuck up with this issue.
    Thanking u in anticipation
    Vishal

    Hi Yash
    You'll have to hire the services of some translators.. you cannot translate the data at runtime without the help of third party tools for translation...... or as you have suggested, maintain separate databases
    Regards
    S.T.

  • Use Diffrenct  Language in oracle forms 6i

    Hi everybody
    how can i user different language at the time development in d2k forms 6i
    can i use other language then english or not
    i need ur help

    You're referring to Forms Internationalization and Oracle has published helpful guidelines for making your Forms support multiple languages. Any message generated by the Database or the Forms Server will be controlled by the Language Setting for the DB and the Forms Server. Any text you display in your Form, such as Item Prompts or Messages, you will have to handle these yourself. I did a quick Google search on "Forms Internationalization" and found the following link:
    http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/forms/10g?navId=3&navSetId=_&vtTopicFile=forms_nls/c_forms_nls.html
    I've worked on an internationalization project before and the solution we used was to assign a unique ID to each message, prompt, or any other text that could be assigned dynamically and then fetched the value associated with the ID from a table at run time depending on the default language.
    Hope this helps.

  • Unable to set environment due to space in Directory name

    I have java classes and other executables under E:\Oracle\JDeveloper 3.1\.. JDeveloper 3.1(with space) is default during installation. In some cases, if I exacute files under that hirarchy from DOS prompt(due to Tomcat), it fails to execute due to the space between JDev and 3.1. I'm eager to know what kind of solution can be applied for this kind of problem?
    TIA,
    Mark

    What we all do here in development to save a lot of typing is do use the DOS SUBST command to substitute a drive letter for a long path name (including ones with spaces) and then use the SUBST'd drive letter to work with the JDev Home.
    For example:
    SUBST J: "E:\Program Files\Oracle\JDeveloper3.1"
    Then you can use J:\ to refer to the JDeveloper installation home.
    Nothing special about J:, you can use any letter.

  • Pls help in starting a project

    Hello,
    I request for help in starting a sample project bc4j under JDeveloper. The folder resides in Programfiles\Oracle\Jdeveloper3.2\samples.
    I have been asked to go to ..\samples\bc4j directory and create user bc4j identified by bc4j, grant resource, connect to bc4j and then to start project @..\samples\bc4j\onlineorders.sql
    I am new to Oracle as well as JDeveloper. This is a request to let me know which commands to carry out for creating user, granting resource, connecting to bc4j and finally to start sample project.
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Sana

    If you're new to Oracle, you might want to read "SQL for Web Nerds" http://www.arsdigita.com/books/sql
    I've just started using Forte Community Edition, the free version of the Java IDE from Sun. Help / Contents will bring up detailed help topics, such as how to start a project. I'm not familiar with JDeveloper, so all I can recommend is to try the help menu.

  • Tutorial - Building Business Components

    I am using Oracle JDeveloper3.0 (Build 532) on Windows NT. I am trying to work through the above tutorial, but when I try to invoke the Business Components or New Entity Objects, nothing happens.
    Have not installed some components correctly ? Do I need to make any changes to the Gallery.INI file ?
    Thank you very much for your response..
    Sudarshan

    Sudarshan,
    It should never be necessary for you to edit your gallery.ini to get default installation behavior.
    Are you sure you sucessfully installed JDeveloper?
    My JDeveloper 3.1 Gallery.ini looks as pasted below. Yours should look similar.
    You may have to re-install.
    I hope this helps,

    Sherman,
    I'm not seeing the same behavior when I try it here. You can use
    the command line utility loadjava (which is basically all the
    JDeveloper Deployment Wizard is doing as you can see from the
    output).
    For example:
    loadjava -user acme/acme@orant_lang:1521:ntdev81 -thin -verbose
    -resolve "C:\Program Files\Oracle\JDeveloper3.0
    \myclasses\SQLJ_Untitled1.jar"
    The Oracle8i Java Stored Procedures Guide contains the details
    and arguments list. There is a loadjava.bat file in your
    JDEV_Home\bin directory.
    Hope this helps,
    Laura

  • IIOP with Oracle 8.1.7 (installed with O9iAS)

    Hi Oracle friends!
    I have just installed Oracle9i Application Server Release 1.0.2 for Windows NT/2000 - Standard Edition - on my WinNT SP5 machine. I shifted all my data from Oracle 8.1.6 to the newly installed Oracle 8.1.7 which comes with Oracle9iAS. But now, using JDeveloper3.1, I am unable to connect using IIOP and the error says "Unknown reasons"
    Please help...
    Thanx,
    Anuj Patel

    ias 9i's "oracle 8i jvm" is based upon the one in the rdbms 817 product.
    it is compatible with jdev 3.2.2 only.
    ias 8i or ias 1.0.0 or 1.01 was based upon rdbms816 and was compatible with jdev 3.1.0 or 3.1.1.2.
    bottom line
    you need to upgrade your jdev product to 3.2 stay "in synch" with the rdbms and ias 9i.

  • How to insert arabic&english  from oracle clients like TOAD,SQL*PLUS

    Hi
    iam trying to insert arabic&english data from TOAD&SQLPLUS.
    if i try to insert arabic by copy and paste iam getting ???? and
    if i try to insert through my keyboard (after updating my system with regional
    settings) iam able to type some junk characters.
    I have installed Oracle 8.1.6 with characterset set to UTF8 and
    in my client NLS_LANG settings i have tried with different settings like:-
    AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8
    AMERICAN_AMERICA.AR8MSAWIN
    ARABIC_UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.UTF8
    ARABIC_UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.AR8MSWIN1256
    i have also updated INIT.ORA nls_language ='ARABIC'.
    but still iam getting same problem.
    any help in this appriciated.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

    Are you able to use Arabic with your Java VM in general? Or are you having problems specific to your database interactions? Sun provides an internationalized version of the JDK and also an "English only" version. Perhaps you have the English only version? I would recommend trying a simple Hello World app with your JVM first... I would also check your JDBC driver documentation and make sure there are no limitations there, and that your database is also setup for internationalization.
    It is certainly possible to use TopLink in internationalized environments as we have lots of customers doing this, so hopefully we can figure out what is wrong with your setup.

    pls tell me the reason,and how to solve this

    I suppose you need to tinker around with JBuilder. Try searching for this problem on Weblogic forum. Someone might have faced this already.

  • OIM 9.1 Help on Internationalization

    I am new to OIM 9.1 and I am trying add a new User Defined Field via OIM Design console.
    Its getting reflected on OIM UI, but if I change the language to Japanese I am still seeing in English fonts for user defined fields but OOB fields are getting displayed in Japanses.
    Below are the steps which I followed.
    Added the following in the folder OIM_HOME/server/xellerate/customResources/ customResources_ja
    global.udf.USR-UDF-DEPARTMENT=Department
    global.udf.USR-UDF-CITY=City
    global.udf.USR-UDF-STATE=Statetest
    global.udf.USR-UDF-DISTRICT=DistrictTest
    global.udf.USR-UDF-COUNTRY=Country
    global.udf.USR_UDF_POSTAL=Postal Code
    global.udf.USR_UDF-TELEPHONE=Telephone Number
    If someone can send me the correct steps ie the files to be modified inorder to reflect the Internationalization
    that would be of great help.

    WLS 10.3.2 was just certified for OIM 9.1.0.2 BP5

    This is output, I am getting :
