Invited nodes and SDP

We are migrating databases to Exadata, and the existing databases use the invited nodes listener parameter to limit access. We will be connecting the Exadata to Exalogic middle tier nodes, and use SDP for best performance. Does invited nodes work the same way when using an SDP connection?

I have never set anything like that up, but I don't see why it wouldn't work the same.
If you have serious questions like this, I recommend opening an SR with MOS to get the best answer.

Hi all,
we want to implement secuity that only allowed hosts are connected to DB.
But when i make entry of INDIA\ABC416158 in invited nodes listener is not starting.It is getting error out saying "CONNECTION REFUSED".
But when i found out my MACHINE name from v$session in instance its shows me INDIA\ABC416158.
Can any one provide me any idea why hostname is getting rejected whereas IP address is getting successfull.
HOPE */* is not causing any issue.

5.2.59 TCP.VALIDNODE_CHECKING
Purpose
The TCP.VALIDNODE_CHECKING parameter creates a hard failure when any of the host names in the invited/excluded list fail to resolve to an IP address. This is to ensure that a customer's desired configuration is enforced, meaning that valid node checking cannot take place unless the host names are resolvable to IP addresses.
This is important especially in the context of the TCP.INVITED_NODES parameter, because it requires that every one of the client nodes be listed in the server's sqlnet.invited_nodes list. When one of the clients is decommissioned, and thus removed from the host name database, it becomes unresolvable, and will cause the listener to fail to start.
Note:
In order to utilize the TCP.VALIDNODE_CHECKING parameter's invited nodes, the host name database must be kept in sync with the sqlnet.invited_node list.

Is there a way to "mix" the nodes and leaves of the tree so that even if they are at the same level (1,2,3...), they will display in a specified order (via sort sequence, alphabetical, etc.).
History:
We are using the Tree UI element to display/manage a material bom interface. We seem to be running into an issue with displaying the nodes/leaves of the tree.. regardless of the order that the context is built (which is currently the order of the exploded BOM from from CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2), the bom is displayed with the nested boms at the top of each level and the single materials below them. For example. If TK1 contains Material1, Material2, Material3, Kit1(containing component1, comp2, comp3), Material4, Kit2(containing comp4, comp5, comp6), and Material5 (in this order), the tree will display with the A level node as TK1, the next node as Kit1 (with its subleaves of comp1,comp2,comp3), Kit2(with subleaves of comp4,comp5,comp6), THEN Material1, material2, material3, material4, material5. Our users are adamant about the items displaying in the correct order (which should be alphabetical based on the description for one report and by location for purposes of inventory for another). I've searched but not been able to locate a similar question. If I've missed it, please point me in the right direction. The users want the tree, not a "tree" table. This is our first attempt at the tree, so maybe we're missing something basic?

Strange behaviour with ActiveX invoke node and Excel

I want to send a table of numbers from LV50.1f to Excel97. After getting a
reg to Excel8.Application I retrieve the Workbooks property, Invoke Item to
select a certain Workbook reference, retrieve the Worksheets collection
reference, Invoke Item and then get a reference to WORKBOOKS again.
Strangely, there is an example code from the NI web site that does exactly
the same, but in the last step a variant is returned in stead of a
reference, which is converted using Variant to G to a Worksheet reference.
when I copied that last invoke node to my VI I also had a variant returned,
so on one diagram I had to invoke nodes connected to the same sources, one
returning a ref, the other returning a variant!

nnecting the sources to my Invoke node and rewiring gave no change.
Also type casting the ref to workbooks to a worksheets ref, didn't work - I
get errors in the following property node that retrieves a Range - which
exists in Worksheet, but not in Workbooks.
Appearantly, LV gets the returned type mixed up sometimes, and there is no
way to fix it other then copying a invoke node from another diagram?
Finally I got it working though, but this behaviour puzzles me. Contrary to
the example from NI, I now managed to send a table (2d array of strings) in
one call to Excel (don;t need to loop over cells or columns).
PS
I used to do the same using DDE but ranges are different for each language
version of Excel (i.e. R1C1 for English and R1K1 for Dutch), so my VI's need
to know the language of Excel. Also with NT and Win98, getting a DDE
connection often hangs LV. But a big progress has been made - now I need
different VI's for each version of Excel!!!

You may have to do a sanity check before adding it.
Better run the program in a debugger and have a break point at the clipBoard.put() line. Else system.out.println() lines will kill enormouse programming time rather than using debugger.
Also in following this thread, i found that you may have to be bit more thorough with the DefaultMutableTreeNode class first.

There are third party apps in the app store that will allow you to use virtually any printer even if you don't have one of the HP AirPrint compatible printers.
You can even use an app like Pages to create your templates. You can insert art and photos into Pages and it supports file sharing as well. Pages is a Word Processing app and I would be inclined to not use it for your purposes but it will work for some basic designs however it's certainly not ideal for creating artwork.

To create the subnodes(zreports) i used Transaction SERP and i was able to create the new node in SERP but not able to find it in SRET.

Dynamic creation of context nodes and ui elements

I have created context nodes dynamically. And i also want to create UI elements dynamically wherein i want to bind the attribute from the context node to it. For example i want to create a drop down by index and bind one of the attributes in the context nodes that i have earlier created dynamically to it. I do not know how to get the path to the attribute as i get IF_WD_CONTEXTNODE_INFO when i say get_child_node(). And the IF_WD_CONTEXTNODE_INFO does not have any method where in i can get IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE from where i can get the path by get_meta_path( )

Interface node or methods comes into picture whenever you want to use one component as used component. I mean to say
Component usages. If you select node as interface node, it will available in another component so you can use that node or methods.
Normal node means in that component only. Simply we can say for component usages we go for interface nodes.

Want to keep the data on one node and allow remote nodes to read it?

by default, we have a distributed cache with backupcount=1 and data is kept over all the members in equal parts
is there a way to do set it another way: i need only one 'main' node to put entries into the cache and keep them locally, while remote nodes can only read entries? the reason for that - i want to update the entries on the main node quite frequently (do not them travel anywhere over the network) - while remote read operations are infrequent. Also, Iwant the whole dataset survive the shutdown of any secondary node. In other words, I need 'all eggs in one backet' with remote read access.

on the 'main' node and storage disabled on the 'secondary' nodes. Access from outside the LAN will require configuring a proxy service on the

I am Unable to set data to the Node . I did not get any error message or Dump while executing . when i tried to retrive data I got the details from the node but am unable to view those details in the FBI UI and BOBT UI while testing .

Hi Kranthi,
For your requirement you need only two nodes. Root Node and Result node. Use the same structure for both.
To create Instance while search.
Create Query method with input type which has the required fields for selection criteria.
Fetch the data and create instance in the root node.
Pass the new instance key as exporting parameter form Query Method.
To Move data from ROOT to Result.
Create a action at root node.
Write a code to create new entries in Result node.
Then configure the Search UIBB and display result in List UIBB. Add button and assign the action MOVE_MAT_2_RESULT.
Create another List uibb to display data from Result node.
Connect the UIBBs using wire schema. SEARCH -> LIST(ROOT) ---> LIST(RESULT).
Give src node association for ROOT to RESULT Configuration.

I have a requirement to sort the nodes based on a key value.
e.g.

I tried using SortByKey function for Node i.e.

But I dont get sorted value for Value1 and Value2.
Can anybody give solution for this?
I have around 25000 records as input and there are around 25 values in structure.

Administration Node and non-default certificate

Hello,
We are running our administration server on one host, and we have multiple other hosts configured as administration nodes. We used our company CA to generate a server certificate for our administration server, and that appears to be working fine. We tried to do the same thing on our administration nodes, and something curious is happening.
I used certutil -R to generate a CSR and private key. I then took the generated CSR, obtained a signed certificate from our company CA, then used certutil -A -t u,u,u to install it (and certutil -A -t CT,, to install the CA cert itself). Running certutil -L, I see that in addition to the default Admin-CA-Cert and Admin-Server-Cert our company CA cert and the newly signed cert show up. So far, so good.
Next, I modified the server.xml to specify the server-cert-nickname as that assigned to my new cert.
To put these changes into effect, I stop and start the admin server, but upon doing so, I see this message:
warning: LCM0006: Lifecycle module [AdminLifecycleModule] threw ServerLifecycleException [com.sun.web.admin.exceptions.AdminException: ADMIN3668: Cannot start an unregistered node. Register with an administration server. ]
OK, so I run wadm register-node to re-register the admin node (presumably it needs to tell the admin server about our new certificate) and then start the admin server again, and it starts. Problem is, the act of running wadm register-node has reset the server-cert-nickname back to the default (Admin-Server-Cert) and even more bizarre, has deleted both our local CA and my new certificate from the certificate & key database.
How do I - or is it even possible to - run my admin nodes with certs signed by our company CA?
