Invoice simulation using a java connector

    Hello,
I am trying to post/simulate a vendor invoice in B1 system from a java application(connected through a JCO).
I know this is possible with R/3, but not sure with B1.
Does B1 has functionality to simulate a document similar to simulation in R/3? If yes, how can we do this using a jco?
Thanks
Ramakanth

Hi Ramakanth,
If by simulation you mean go through all steps and check if there is any error, but in the end nothing is created then yes it is possible. You should start a transaction from the company object (oCompany.StartTransaction()) and create your document. In the end simply rollback the operation (oCompany.EndTransaction(BoWfTransOpt.wf_RollBack)).
If you mean create a draft, it's also possible just get a draft document type (oCompany.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.oDrafts)) and then set the DocObjectCodeEx property to the appropriate document type (oDocument.DocObjectCodeEx = "13" //invoice).
Good luck.
Best regards,

  • Additional runtime license fees per user in order to use the Java connector

    Hi All,
    I have one question.
Do we require to pay additional runtime license fees per user in order to use the Java connector (Jco) supplied by SAP?
We're currently not using the Jco but are looking into the possibility of using it.
    Thank in Advance.

    Hi All,
    Please answer my question
We need to use Jco to connect to our 4.6C SAP production system. We do not have Portal or any other components. It's just a plain 4.6C system, service pack level is 23.
We are currently paying license fees for using the system on a per user basis.
    Thank You.

  • CVP VXML Custom Action Element using SAP Java Connector (SAP Jco)

    Mates,
Have any of you built one of these? CVP 4.x, 7.x, 8.x - doesn't matter much.
I've built plenty (!) of custom action elements, decision elements, SayItSmart and so on, but never one to talk SAP Jco.
Just wondering if someone has any experience they can share on the Forum.
    Thanks heaps - in advance.

  • Java Connector being use in Dell Axim x50v "Windows CE"

    Hi all,
I have a Dell Axim x50v "Windows Mobile 2003" Windows CE.  I would like to use the Java Connector in this handheld device but I have been encoutering a problem of registering the librfc32.dll, msvcr71.dll, etc..
Can I use the Java Connector with the handheld device or not.
It seems like the DLL that came with JCO are not compatible with Windows CE..
      Can someone reply and explain.
    thanks in advance.
    Jen

    Hello Jennifer,
you can't use the JCo in Windows CE. You have to use the Mobile Infrastructure. Have a look at http://service.sap.com/mobile and and also <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/developerareas/mi.sdn?node=linkDnode7">Mobile Infrastructure</a> here in SDN.

My server is a WMvare win 2008.service pack 2.
My problem is that i'm unable to register the sapjco3.dll file.
    I'm runnning the comand regsvr32 "C:windowssyswow64sapjco3.dll

I hav tried both the 64 bit and the 32 bit version of the dll. same error.
    the dll version is 7110.34.16.7531
    Any ideas

    Hi Pal,
you need to use the Java Connector v 2.1.8 and there is no need to register the DLL.

  • Java connector license

Our company purchased business one 2005A.  Our SAP business partner told us that to use the sdk java connector for our own purposes we needed to purchase a license (~10K US).  Originally they said we could do any customization we wanted without any additional cost but when we asked for the SDK they said to cough up the money.  Can someone tell me what we need in order to do use the java connector inhouse?

    Hi Chester,
If you are going to be doing any development using the DI API (which includes the Java connector) then you must have a development license from SAP. I'm not sure on pricing but $10K sounds about right. There used to be a restriction that you needed at least one person in your company who was certified as a development consultant but I don't know if this rule still applies.
You can develop using the UI API without the development license but this only allows customisation of the user interface of the SBO client.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • System requirements for java connector

can anyone tell me what the system requirements are in order to use the java connector? with system requirements i mean mainly:
    - what java version do i need (j2ee or is j2se enough)?
    - which business one tools do i need to install?
    - can i run it only on the server or also on a client?
    - what do i need in order to use jsp? (besides a webserver )
please point me to any possible documentation that answers my question, if i was to dumb to find it...
    kind regards

    1. Java Version 1.4x or 1.5, j2se is enough
    2. DI and Java Connector
    3. You can run it on any machine with the above installed

Should i deploy any .jar file? (i've already deployed MDM4J.jar) and referenced it in portalapp!
    Thanks in advance
    SwarnaDeepika

    Hello Swarna:
I believe than rather than deploying the MDM4J.jar, you should deploy this components:
    com.sap.mdm.tech.mdm4j.sda
    com.sap.mdm.tech.connector.sda
    BPMDMTECHN00_0.sca
    BPMDMAPPLI00_0.sca
Once you deploy those, you should have no problems. Another solution would be to take your MDM4J.jar and wrap it into an SDA, then deploy, but that would be pretty much the same.
Those components are included on your MDM CD. Please ensure you use the same Version/support package/hotfix all over your landscape.
    I hope that helps
    Alejandro
