IOException on creating a new SCS adapter
Hi,
Everytime I add a new SCS adapter in the CIS admin screen, it shows a "* Error: java.io.IOException" eventhough the Adapter is added and I am able to validate the configuration successfully(Communication to the content server is functioning correctly.). In the OC4J log files the errors I could see are com.stellent.cis.client.command.impl.remote.RemoteCommandException
at com.stellent.cis.client.command.impl.remote.RemoteCommand.execute(RemoteCommand.java:58)
at com.stellent.cis.client.command.impl.services.CommandExecutorService.executeCommand(CommandExecutorService.java:57).
Modifying the adapter configuration also throws the same java.io.IOException.
Why is the CIS server throwing these Exceptions?
Regards
Raji
The same is happening at my end on a JBOSS installation. There are no error files in the logs, and the documentation is not very helpful either.

Hi,
I need to create a new file adapter.
I've read some documentations that say PCK could be used. Is that mandatory?
I've also found some code sample.
But I still don't know what to modify in a the sample nor how to deploy my new adapter in order to select it in XI's directory part.

YannHi Yann,
I am not sure whether I have understood you correctly..Do u want to create a new file adapter itself, or write an adapter module for a file adapter?
Please take a look at these..

Creating a new message in adapter module
Hello,
I already posted the question in this [Thread|Sending Adapter Module to split messages;, but I now create this new topic so you can get points for your answer
Jan from this thread wrote "I know how to send a new message using a new instance of the Module Processor and using ModuleProcessor.process()" and I'm now searching for a code example how to create a new message from within an adapter module. I think it must be something like [this|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm40/helpdata/en/8d/6ad6409ff68631e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm].
Regards
MarkusHi Sippy,
First of all we need to configure the systems. So that we can transfer data from Outbound system to Inbound system.
Configure an Outbound Process that uses Message Control
Step 1: Create a new Message Type
TCode: We 81
Path: From the Area menu of EDI, choose Development, IDOC Type/ Message
Step 2: link the IDOC type to the Message Type
TCode: We 82
Path: From the Area menu of EDI, choose Development, IDOC Type/ Message
Step 3: Create a new Process Code
TCode: We 41
Path: From the Area menu of EDI, choose Control,Outbound Process COde
Step 4: Create or Change a Partner Profile
TCode: We 41
Path: From the Area menu of EDI, choose IDOC,Partner Profile
Configure an Outbound Process for Stand-Alone Programs.
1. Create a new message type
2. Link the IDOC type to the Message Type
3. Add the message to the ALE Distribution Model(use BD 64)
4. Create or change the Partner Profile
I think this will be helpful for you.
Reward points if useful.
Cheers,

Is it possible to create a new VM network on Ethernet adapter eth0 ?
Hello,
I am installing a VM environment with 1 VM Manager and 2 VM Servers (version 3.2.2).
All three computers have only one Ethernet port, namely "eth0".
Since there is no "eth1" in all computers, there is no "Available Port" in the wizard when creating a new virtual machine network.
Therefore, I am not able to create a virtual machine because I cannot create a virtual machine network.
My question is: can I create a new virtual machine network on "eth0" ?
I know eth0 is reserved for management network, but is there a way to create additional networks on the same Ethernet adapter "eth0" even if it is already used?
Thanks for your response in advance.Hi,
In your case, you can use the same bond0/eth0 to group all the five networks (Management, Virtual Machine, Storage, HeartBeat, Live Migration)
So,
Select the Networking tab.
Edit
Network Channels: Select ALL network functions:
• Server Management
• Live Migrate
• Cluster Heartbeat
• Virtual Machine
• Storage
Then create your MAC Adress, and enjoy your self
I hope this can help you

Create a shared calendar either from new or adapt an existing
Please forgive me if I have got the terminology wrong but
I would like to create a new / adjust a current calendar so that my wife and I can have a shared calendar
We both have an iphone4 and we have an imac at home.
I have got us both signed up to using the iCloud and iCal.
I would like to do this as we are about to embark on a 4 month building project at home and want to be able to have a shared location for events that are happening regarding that so we can 1 tell each other and 2 have it written down in a shared place.
Can anyone help please.Though you don't say so, I assume that you have different iCloud accounts? In this case, one of you should share the calendar privately, giving it write privileges, and the other can subscribe to it. Please see this page:
http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a9479
and expand 'Share a private calendar or reminder list with specific people'.
(If you are both using the same account you need do nothing - all your calendars under 'iCloud' will be synced to both of you.) -

How do I create a new image composed of a number of smaller images?
Hi,
I'm attempting to work with the assorted image APIs for the first time and am experiencing one main problem with what I'm trying to do. Here's the scenario;
I have an image file (currently a JPEG) which is 320*200 pixels in size, it contains a set of 20*20 images. I want to take such a file and convert it into a new JPG file containing all those 20*20 images but in a different grid, for example a single column.
I'm currently having no problem in working my way through the input file and have created an ArrayList containing one BufferedImage for each 20*20 image. My problem is that I just can't see how to create a new file containing all those images in new grid.
Any help would be much appreciated and FWIW I've included the code I've written so far.

Problem in creating a new track
Hi,
I am trying to create a new track in NWDi like this
1.created a product,sofware unit and software component and defined the dependencies(required components like BUILDT,JTECHS etc)
2.Went to landscape configurator and clicked on track data and enter the track name and add the sc created .
3.After adding the sc created required components came automatically in the track data screen.
4.i saved the track data then it says track is created
5.I went to NWDS and trying to import that track.
6.i can see all the components in that track but inside each component like BUILDT i dont see any sda files(external libraries or jar files) they are just empty.
Did i miss any step here in creating the track
please help me in resolving this issue
BalaI followed the same steps as mentioned below
1. you are running JDI on SPS12
2. you have defined your software component "mycomp" at the SLD
3. you have declared the three SCs BUILDT, JTECHS, JEE as
dependent SCs for "mycomp" at the SLD
4. after these you did an "update CMS" at the "domain data" configuration
5. you created your track and choose for your SCs "mycomp" as software component.
and now:
6. When i added the developed component it brought all the required (JTECHS,BUILDT,JEE)components in the Landscape configurator. You already defined the usage of these SCs
in the SLD at step 3.
In older Versions of the JDI (e.g. SPS10) you saw after the choice
of "mycomp" inside the track data also the dependent SCs. This is
not the case any more in SPS13.
Summary: only define your dependent SCs at the SLD, update CMS,
remove the definition from you track directly and try again.
But the problem is when i go to Transport Studio and checked in in check-in tab and after went to development tab and imported and after sometime it is saying import failed.And when i go to NWDS it is bringing all the scs in my trck but there are no libraries in my scs
I did observe a problem in CBS for this new track
when i go to CBS and select my track and look for DCs in JTECHS,JEE,BUILDT scs there are no DCS(0 dcs).
I think if i can resolve this i can create a new track without any problems
Please help me in resolving this issue -

Document doc = sendMessage("CheckAvailabilityInput", headerNode);
CheckAvailabilityOutputVOImpl outputVO = getCheckAvailabilityOutput1();
outputVO.readXML(doc.getDocumentElement(), -1, getXslForReadXML());
if (AppsLogger.isEnabled(AppsLogger.FINE)) {
Node headerNode1 = (XMLNode)outputVO.writeXML(-1, XMLInterface.XML_OPT_ALL_ROWS | XMLInterface.XML_OPT_ASSOC_CONSISTENT);
try {
Writer sw = new StringWriter();
((XMLNode)headerNode1).print(sw);
} catch (IOException e) {
AppsLogger.write(this.getClass(),
"Couldn't convert the VO to xml",
AppsLogger.FINE);
outputRow = (CheckAvailabilityOutputVORowImpl)outputVO.getRowAtRangeIndex(0);
And The xml that I am using is like below....
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

TNS Protocol error in 11g when creating a new database
Hi,
I have installed 11g R2 64 Bit on Solaris 10 64 Bit. The installation happened successfully. Now when I use DBCA to create a new database it says ORA-12560 TNS:Protocol Adapter Error. I am accessing the server console and performing all operations there itself, I can't understand this issue.
I have also created a listener.ora and tnsnames.ora and its running successfully (but don't really know if it is needed since I have not even created the database). The sqlnet.log shows following
=====================================================
Fatal NI connect error 12560, connecting to:

JCA Resource Adapter location error.
Unable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/>
The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/DB/DemoConnection'.
The reason for this is most likely that either
1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or
2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/DB/DemoConnection. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR).
Please correct this and then restart the Application ServerDear Anuj,
I created a connection pool in DB adapter with JNDI name "eis/DB/DemoConnection"? and then updated
BUT WHEN I SEE DB ADAPTER in deployments, the sate is New . It should be ACTIVE . right?
Again when I start Managed Server,although my soa_server is up and running, I get this error
However, I did not create any JMS for this domain.

Two new SCs in the same track - with dependencies
Hello Guys,
We are going to create an NWDI track with two new Software Components.
1. SC for Services (let us call it SC-A)
2. SC for UI Content (let us call it SC-B)
These are going to be brand new SCs created in SLD and imported into one NWDI track for starting the development.
SC-B is going to be dependent on SC-A.
(SC-B will use various services provided by SC-A which will be made available via public parts).
I will create the SCs in SLD and define the necessary dependencies accordingly (between SC-B and SC-A).
I will then create the track with the above two SCs as developed Software Components.
Initially at the check in stage, I will not have any sources (SCA files) for the above two software components itself (since
they are brand new - without any code yet). However, I will checkin the other required SCAs (JEE, JBUILDT, JTECHS, .. ).
My concerns / questions are:
1. Can we do the development on both the software components in parallel?
2. Let us say, I created a DC with name DC-A in SC-A (via a NWDS activity) and after checking that activity in and activating my changes,
I created another DC with name DC-B in SC-B which uses DC-A from SC-A, would this be a problem?
3. In question 2 above, do I have to take care of the dependencies in a different way ?
(when compared to having both the used DC and USing DC in the same SC)
4. Can I add more SCs into the same track (which will probably use both SC-A and SC-B) in the future ?
I believe that this is going to be just fine but I am a little confused around the initial "check-in" of the requires SCAs into the track.
Also, we are going to spend a lot of time in the development system itself and it would be nice to work in parallel on both the SCs.
(The assembly of the above said SCs is only going to happen after a few months of development effort).
I also understand that we can have the two SCs in separate tracks but we really want them in the same track and be able to work on them in parallel.
Please throw some light in this area ...
Thanks for taking time to read ...
Thanks,
KalyanHi Kalyan,
To your questions:
1. Yes.
2. No, make sure to sync you used DC's on DC-B.
3. No, this is a legitimate SC-DC architecture.
4. Yes, but for "future" projects you probably want to use new tracks.
You should check-in the required SCA's AND import them in development.
You can work parallel on both SC's.
You better use one track as assembly/deployment will be on the same date, otherwise you need track connections (either a repair, which needs a NWDS-release of perhaps not tested functionality, or a transport, which needs a complete & approved SC-A, is it?).
Let me just say: I have the same architecture and it works fine for me.
Hope this helps,
Regards,

Assignment: Array Based GUI Assignment
Telephone call data has been collected from a company's telephone switch. You have been asked to analyze it and produce various statistics.
Input File
The input file is a sequential file. It is in no specific order. The file contains an extension number, type of call, and the length of call in seconds. A record is produced each time a call is made from that extension. You should create your own test file.
Field Type Description
Extension Integer Extension number. This is a 4 digit number. Valid Extensions are 2000 to 2020.
Type Integer Value of 1 means internal, any other value is an external call.
Time Long Length of call in seconds
Example:
 2000,1,60 : ----->>>> Extension 2000 had an internal call that lasted 60 seconds
 2000,1,356: ----->>>> Extension 2000 had an internal call that lasted 356 seconds
 2019,2,65: ------>>>> Extension 2019 had an external call that lasted 65 seconds
 2001,1,355: ----->>>> Extension 2001 had an internal call that lasted 355 seconds
Process
1. Use 2 arrays to accumulate the time of calls for each extension, both internal and external.
2. The reports and queries are to be produced from the arrays.
Hints:
 Create 2 arrays: one for internal calls and one for external calls.
 Load the arrays in Form Load: do not do any calculations here.
 The report and queries can totally be produced from the arrays.
Output: Report
Telephone Useage Report
Extension Internal External
2000 4500 3500
2001 19350 22981
2002 2333 900
2003 3144 122
Totals 99999 99999
Output: Queries
On the form add add query capability.
1. Average Total Utilization: Internal Calls: 9999 (total length of all internal calls / number extensions)
2. Average Total Utilization: External Calls: 9999
3. Extension with the highest internal call utilization: Ext xxxx; 9999 seconds.
4. Extension with the highest total utilization.
Form Design
The design of the form is up to you. However, use the following guidelines:
 use menus (preferred) or command buttons
 use a common dialog box to ask for the file name
 use a list box or text box to display the output
the caption on the form should include your namehi
u can try like following code
if (menuName == "Print File")
new mytextframe();
class mytextframe extends JFrame{
JTextArea display = new JTextArea();
public mytextframe()
setSize(300,300);
setVisible(true);
add(display);
display.setText( "ello");

Help with creating a new XML file from an existing DOM tree!!
i want to create a new XML file from an existing DOM tree
i used this code to create a new document:
static public Document createDocument(String fileName) throws ParserConfigurationException//,IOException,SAXException
try {
DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
factory.setIgnoringComments(true);
factory.setIgnoringElementContentWhitespace(true);
factory.setValidating(true);
DocumentBuilder builder =factory.newDocumentBuilder();
return builder.newDocument();
// handle exception creating DocumentBuilder
catch ( ParserConfigurationException parserError ) {
throw new ParserConfigurationException();
}then i used this code to transform the DOM :
public void exportDocument(Document document) {
try {
Source xmlSource = new DOMSource( document );
Result result = new StreamResult( System.out );
TransformerFactory transformerFactory =
TransformerFactory.newInstance();
Transformer transformer =transformerFactory.newTransformer();
transformer.setOutputProperty( "indent", "yes" );
transformer.transform( xmlSource, result );
//then catching the exceptions
But the file was not created and i didn't find where can i specify the DTD that the XML file should use and where can i enter the name of the XML file itself
Another questoin can i write a DTD file dynamically during the execution of the program??Cross-post: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=784467&messageID=4459240#4459240
