IOS 7 and the disappearing "define" function?

After upgrading my iPhone 5, bought about 60 days ago, to iOS7, my define function seems unsupported.
There was a iPhone 5 discussion about it, and I tried the GENERAL/INTERNATIONAL/LANGUAGE fix, but could not get any of the listed dictionaries to download.
Any iOS 7 gurus out there?

When you press define, an empty window pops up. If you press manage in that window, a list of dictionaries is displayed that you can install from. Hope this helps :)

Here is another way to accomplish what you wanted.
For the target mapping, use this sequence for mapping
Source element -> removeContext -> Your User-defined Function -> Target Element
When defining User-Defined Function, select "Cache Queue" option.
Since you are using removeContext before calling the UserDefined function, your input to the user defined function will be a String array without ResultList.CC.
Now manipulate the array the way you want it, and build the ResultList result.
After every 200 records, use method
void addContextChange().
This will insert the ResultList.CC at the appropriate places.
Use Display Queue in the Mapping Editor to see the debug values.

System ID in the user defined function

Folks,
I am trying to get the system id of the XI system with in the user defined function. How can I get it? I have looked into the technical context objects/contants and could not find any which gives you the XI system ID (3 character system ID).
Any input is greatly appreciated.

There is another system property which gives sap system name...rather than taking 'user.name' and parsing....

iCloud should still help you reduce some hard drive space. Just select "optimize" in the icloud tab in Mac Photo App preferences.
Granted, not the same as completely offloading your library to a back-up drive at your location.

You need to upgrade OS X.

Hi Susan. I hope there's a better 'fix' coming to replace this "uninstall the updates, restore, then reinstall the updates after the restore". This kind of workaround requires that all of us remember that there's a problem
with KB3023562 and KB3004375 from now until the end of WS2012E. Not sure I'll remember this 6 months from now when the problem crops up during a restore. -:(

To actually use the app you'll need to download passbook compatible apps such as target, fandango, ticket master, American Airlines (not a lot of apps are compatible yet).
To add tickets to passbook you need to add them through the main app. So if you bought a ticket through ticket master you need to go to the ticket master app, locate the ticket and add to passbook that way.

Director, iOS and the (real) apps development cul-de-sac

Hi there.
I was a long time Director developer and I tried D12 to give it a shot with iOS app development.
After 2.5 months of research, an app submitted to Apple (still "in review"), another in development and a 3D game in its first design I have to summarize my experience.
1.
Developing simple apps and games seems very simple and easy.
Let's say that if the user don't have to interact with the keyboard, or use UI controls, app development is fluid.
2.
If you have to develop something with (even) a little user interface, you get crazy.
You have to re-invent the wheel and in doing it you're doing it wrong.
I developed a simple app, an app that does only one thing, but it does it in a very good way.
I started developing this app because there is no an app that does this thing, today.
First prototype? 4 hours.
Now I'm stuck in handling UI and UX, and I'm going mad.
There's no way to re-produce iOS controls (like radio buttons, checkboxes and fields) without appearing "cheap".
If the user have to insert something with the keyboard you get mad.
If you have the crazy idea to create a scrollable list (with selection) the performances become as slow as hell and the user responsiveness goes away.
I'm so so so sad for this.
I know Director Team is doing something great to bring us Director developers the possibility to easly port games from Shockwave to iOS.
But if you want to develop a real application (or something like that) you actually have no chances to pass Apple quality control.
That's it.
I just wanted to share my feelings with you.

Let me get this straight: I use Director since version 4, I always though that it's an incredible tool for multimedia development.
The dream was (just) using it to deliver iOS apps that can be a little better that the ones done with PhoneGap.
But...
The fact that it's so damn hard to put an app into the iTunes App Store (try not to develop "ad hoc" but for the store) that I think Adobe is just paying a low level rate to the remaining developers, I think that thereare two left, three maybe, and they have to do everything, so they don't write manuals or notes.
Or they just develop Director in their spare time.
Whatever you're doing, I respect you. Just as much I don't respect Adobe, who's gonna charge us for this not-enough-featuring (anymore) product.
One example: if you compile your iOS app for youriPad with the "Otto.app" template there's nothing wrong, but that template is outdated since may 1, 2013, so you cannot use it to upload your app to the App Store.

MBP 2.2 and The Disappearing Act

So recently ive been noticing when trying to use Dashboard on a standard account of my MBP the widgets all disappear and when trying to re add them they pop up for a split second and disappear.
ive tried accessing them under anew account and the main admin account and they seem to work fine.
this is shared with 2 people, as its the main home/work/misc computer, and ive repaired permissions on that user/drive etc and is really peculiar
the system is running 10.4.10 and hasnt shown any other issues before. so im not sure what it could be.
any input or advice
Btw im not using a second or external display or any other peripherals other then the poweradapter and occasionally a mouse.
the widgets i have are usually the 4 basic default plus stickies and airline flights...all disappear and upon trying to readd them they disappear.

785GTM-E45 and the disappearing video controller

Noticed an odd behavior on my 785GTM-E45 motherboard. When there is no video card installed on the motherboard, the onboard video works.
I have since installed an ATI Radeon HD 4350 board, and I can no longer use the video ports on the motherboard. Hardware info only shows one adapter.
I was hoping to use three or four monitors with this setup, but as of yet no dice.
I have tried both Internal and PCI-E for the primary video setting in the BIOS, but that doesn't seem to change anything.
Anyone know why this is? Thanks!

I have a G45 Asus mobo, and the only thing I can do when a videcard is installed is choosing between internal (and the videocard doesn't work) or pcie (and the internal doesn't work). Before, I had an old G31 Gigabyte motherboard, and I was able to use both internal and pcie at the same time. Maybe some nvidia 9300/9400 boards too. I never tried a pcie card with my 890GXM-G65, don't think it will work.
What you can do, since you only have an HD4350, is to plug it in the pcie 1x port...you'll have to cut it at the end (quite easy with a cutter, but be careful !), but normally you should be able to use both HD4350 and Internal (not too sure how the driver will react ?). You could also buy a special pcie 1x videocard (or pci).

How to distinguish the User-Defined-Function from Oracle Build-In function

Hi Friends,
I could get the function list form all_objects table by the SQL:
select * from all_objects where object_type = 'FUNCTION'
but there is no column in all_objects specify the function is build-in or user-defined.
But I found in SQL Server there is a column "is_ms_shipped" in the sys.all_objects table. This column will specify the object is build-in or user-defined. I want to get the equivalent column in Oracle but failed.
Could anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

But if an user connects to database using "conn /as sysdba" syntax and creates a function. This user-defined funtion goes into the "SYS" schema also. I know it is not the best practise to create objects using sys user so I think your solution is right.
