IOS TextInput cursor and content show through title bar and other UI elements

When a form is contained within a scroller, it is possible to scroll the content whilst the softkeyboard is displayed and the input element retains focus - on iOS, this causes the cursor and the text to show through UI elements on iOS such as the titlebar content.
Has anyone come up with a workaround or knows whether this is fixed in Air 3/ Flex 4.6?

Thanks for posting and sorry for the slow reply.
Your suggestion will only make a difference on Android - iOS had this bug in 4.5.*, so reverting to the older skin will make no difference on this OS.
Adobe suggest not scrolling forms if you want to support iOS or use the new StageText features - the suggested workaround of wizard forms is unacceptable for my use case and a scrolling form is a common UI pattern on mobile, so I'm experimenting with the following:
1. Use CSS to apply the old TextInputSkin
2. I monitor the soft keyboard events and maintain a 'isKeyboardVisible' property in my views.
3. I register event handlers on the scroller viewport and set stage.focus to null if my keyboard is currently active and the user attempts to scroll.
This works and prevents the artifacts from showing through the UI, I just need to find the perfect events.. property change is no good, so I'm playing with mouse and touch events.

Window resized to show only title bar and pushed off screen viewing area

Anyone else experiencing this strange phenomenon?
I open some PDF documents, then leave the computer for a few hours. When I come back, they have all been resized to only show the title bar AND they have been pushed off the bottom left corner of my screen, so that only a tiny portion of the title bar can be seen. I then drag them all back up into view, and resize them so I can read them again. Give it another couple hours of not being actively used, and they disappear back down to the corner.
Very strange Abobe... what's happening?

Image window maximize over title bar and tools

Hi,
im working on a PC , with windows 7, with photoshop CS5
i searched everywhere for answer , but none was given..
people did mention this problem, but for different photoshop versions , and, i had it good till i dont know what happened and changed it, so i believe it is fixable but people understood it wrong.
anyhow, the problem is, when you try to maximize the image window (assuming you changed it from tabs), the window maximize all over the screen, over the tools and title bar.
instead of staying inside the workspace.
as i mentioned, it used to be like it , but something happened and now its all over the thing.
i tried double click the hand tool, all sort of things with the "F" and Tab shortcuts, the arrange documents thing on the top, even trying to restore default setting but nothing really did the trick.
i tried to look for something called "Application frame", that somehow suppose to do just that, under window->Application frame, but its not there.
again, it used to be ok so i know there is still hope..
here it is restored, under "fit screen" option, notice it only get the hight right, i would not call it "fit screen" but what ever..
red circels show the title bar and tools.. very nice and cool.
and this is when i hit the maximize button and unleash hell, red circles are where the title bar and tools were, not so nice and cool..
i noticed none of the others gave pictures, so i gave it a go..
please help, there are no words to describe how annoying it is.

If you want the Photoshop main window components to remain visible, either right-click on the image with the Zoom Tool selected and choose "Fit on Screen" (which really fits it inside the Photoshop workspace), or use Tabbed View.
Pressing Control-0 (control zero) is a shortcut for Fit to Screen.
I have no idea why Adobe changed the behavior. Perhaps people reported that it was annoying to have the maximize window button not actually maximize the document window to fill the screen, which is really what it's supposed to do.

Firefox opens and I see a title bar but the main window content is not refreshed or loaded

I installed Firefox 4.0 and it installed fine. When I run it, the window opens with the title bar and borders but the inside content pane is blank. The only option I have it to close it.
If I uninstall 4.0 and reinstall the latest 3.x release, it works fine. I've removed all of the 3rd party add ons but am still having this issue.

I think I found the problem. I have 3 monitors, my primary monitor is connected through an external USB video card (Sabrenet Viewmax) using DisplayLink drivers. When I move the Firefox browser window over to the laptop monitor or to the monitor that is connected through the laptop's VGA port, Firefox works as expected. Is this a driver issue? a Firefox issue? As a side note, one of my Microsoft apps is having the same exact issue, Microsoft Visual Studio Web Developer Express.

Transport of PCD and Content objects through JDI.

Is it possible to transport PCD and Content objects through JDI?

Hi Kishroe,
First, there is no supported, out of the box way to handle content objects in the JDI (now NWDI- NetWeaver Development Infrastructure) With that said, since it is a repository you could export your content package. Make it a zip file or something like that and add it to the repository.
Again, I believe this is theoretically possible. I'm sure some of the other SDN members can provide an automated approach to do this.

My Macbook starts up, shows the screen saver, then immediately goes to sleep. I tap the spacebar, it comes back for a second, shows the tool bar and the hard drive icon then immediately "goes to sleep". This can go on forever, on, sleep, on, sleep.

This sounds like screen curtain may be enabled. Screen curtain is a feature that allows display privacy. To disable screen curtain while VoiceOver is enabled, you can three finger triple tap the screen to disable this feature. You may need to press the home button once in order to process these steps. How to replace the icon in the title bar and minimized window

I am not sure if this is a Swing question. But since nobody answered it in the Java Programming forum, let me place it here:
I would like to set my own icon in the title bar and in the minimized window of my java application, replacing the java coffee cup icon.
I am using:
frame.setIconImage(new ImageIcon("image.gif").getImage())
as was suggested previously in the Java Programming forum at:

This does create the icon in both places. However, it only works when I run the program from JBuilder 2006. It doesn't work if I run the program from the .jar or the .exe file.
How can I make it work for my .jar and .exe file?

I have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional that I want to migrate to my newer laptop running Windows 7. I downloaded the file 22020134.exe to reinstall it on my new computer and I go through the hops and when I put in the Serial Number it tells me its invalid.

22020134.exe is the file Adobe say you must download and run to instal Acrobat 7.0 Pro. I went through the process, the one described in your link, I downloaded the file, ran it, it runs well, except it tells me my serial number is invalid. Now what? Does this mean I now have to discard my Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional and start again with a $500 purchase? All I want to do is transfer what I have to another computer.

TS2972 Apple TV (2) works great with everything BUT iTunes on my computer, AND I can turn Home Sharing Off and On multiple times and NOTHING show up under "shared" and NOTHING shows up under Computers on Apple TV???

I have turned "Home Sharing" off and on multiple times - of course using the same AppleID - and NOTHING shows up under Shared (and then Shared goes away) and NOTHING shows up under "Computers" on Apple TV?
Why aren't Apple TV and iTunes smart enought to work with each other on the same network? This should not be this difficult...

I think I am having the same problem.
My issue: since updating the software on ATV, I get an issue where shortly after starting a movie or video of some sort streaming from iTunes on my iMac the vid stops and Apple TV tells me that I need to connect to my Home Sharing account. Sometimes I can fix it by turning Home Sharing off and back on in my settings. Sometimes I need to completely reboot the AppleTV!
Any suggestions???

Banner between title bar and menu

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how you can put a banner between the title bar of a frame and the menu bar?
I have seen applications where they have the title bar, directly beneath it is a banner area with that products logo, and then the menu bar.
The only two components that I know that support menu bars are JFrame and JInternalFrame. As far as I can tell the menu bar in both these components is always added directly beneath the title bar.
Is it possible to create a JInternalFrame and then hide the title bar?

Off-screen title bar and menu

I have a dual monitor setup, where the monitors have different resolution. I usually open documents on the larger screen, but if I open a second document it opens on the smaller screen with title bar and main menu off-screen. Is it any way I can anchor new windows to the top of the screen instead of the bottom?

It isn't displayed, i.e. it disappears. Remember this is a MS app and appears to follow the semantics of modal dialogues in Windows, i.e. they aren't "real" windows. They are a PITA in Windows as it's possible to hide them with another window and they are a pain to find - they don't appear in window lists and you can't Alt-TAB to them.
oh, yes, I forgot about that. I know that MS office Spaces integration was supposed to be fixed in Snow Leopard but I guess that didn't happen with MSN messenger. that's probably also the reason those apple scripts you tried didn't work.
Looking at this from a different angle, where are window positions likely to be saved as the position is retained across reboots. Is it the OS that handles this, or the app itself?
the window positions of an application are stored in the preference file of that application in /users/username/library/preferences. if you quit an application, delete its preference file and relaunch it then it should display on the default screen with default values. however, some apps (like Mail) keep important data in their preference files and deleting them will wipe that data.
Thanks. As you said about Mail, MSN Messenger stores all its data in their, e.g. account details, and the plist file is binary, but a quick Google revealed plutil so I converted it to XML, edited it in vi, and converted back to binary +et voilà+ it worked!!
The window position was 0, -56 so I just changed it to 0, 56
that will of course, do it.

Leaving title bar and menu

I have a problem with acrobat reader since XI 11.xx.... If i manipulate acrobat's window (full screen, sized etc). I have all the time je same result, title bar and menu bar are not displayed correctly.
Someone already have this graphical glich ?
I must click on another application to get a correct window...
So what can i do for this ?!
Also, CustWiz for acrobat reader will be proposed when ?!
