IPad Mail strange text encoding - preview and body different

When receiving some messages in iPad Mail, the body text uses wrong text coding. There is no specific rule, it's ot messages coming from one specific server but from a number of different ones.
The strange hink is that in the preview pane on the left, the text is presented fine (with all special characters correctly dsiplayed) but the body on the right is wrong.
Where would i find text coding settings? How come the iPad knows what's there but displays it wrong? Did anybody meet this eslewhere, mys case is a Czech language (Central European encoding). I didn't see this on my personal iPad ever. My colleague gets frustrated...

There aren't any on an iOS device. The only thing you could try would be to switch the OS language to Czech and see if it made a difference, but I doubt it will. Best report the issue to Apple:

Strange text from EE and several 'private number' calls

I keep receiving 'private number calls' - had 11 so far this afternoon. Each time it either rings off after a few rings or nobody there if I get a chance to answer. No further calls for the last hour but I have now received a text from EE saying 'Hi from EE. Sorry we couldn't help you with your enquiry today. Next time you call please ensure you have your details available'. I had not called, emailed, texted, tweeted or written to EE! I've now tried calling EE but gave up waiting to talk to somebody! Anyone else experiencing the same?

Hi Kittie, Have you done anything recently which is slightly abnormal? Or has your monthly usage this month been significantly different from previous months? If you've checked your bill and everything seems in order, I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as you're keeping checks on data usage and calls/texting, you'll be fine. Cheers,

IPad mail no message

I connected the Ipad mail to my verizon account and it was working fine. Now it shows the information on the To, From, and Subject lines but the message does not come up.

I see that message quite often in the preview window and I believe that the message is HTML content, but I can always view the contents of the email. Have you ever tried swiping down to the bottom of the email window and see if there is a message indicating that the message hasn't fully downloaded and if you tap on that message - then the email downloads and becomes completely visible.

Tried the 'stop the app' but nothing changed

By 'stop the app' do you mean closing it via the taskbar ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
You could also try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Change mail subject and body text

i activated access method M in tr. SPAD and via this method i'm sending various reports in PDF to external e-mails. But when recepitiens recive e-mail i have subject of e-mail composed of SYSTEM ID and SPOOL NUMBER (e.g. R3P-12345) and i also have defaulted mail body text :
The Mail Attachment Contains the Print File Created by User XXXXX , with Number xxxx from SAP System R3P .
To Print the Data, Open the Mail Attachment with a Suitable Program and Print the Document.
How can i change mail subject and body text?

For the output type Maintian the Mail body and subject.
You can do this at NACE==>Output Type ==> Mail title and texts

Mail Text Encoding Options Missing

For some reason, the Message -> Text Encoding pull-down menu in my Mail has only one option -- "Automatic". All other options are missing. Thus I am here seeking for help.
All the information I've found told me that I should go to the International Pref Pane, choose Language, click the Edit List button and choose the languages I want. I did so, and there are indeed several languages in the list. Still, the pull-down menu in Mail shows no options at all, only "Automatic".
Does anyone know what went wrong? Is some file corrupted in some way?

I deleted com.apple.mail.plist (in fact I it them to another location so I can restore it in case things go wrong) and re-launched Mail. This time I got all the menu options that should be there. I had to re-create all the mail accounts, but the saved emails were not lost.

How to change message text encoding in multiple e-mail messages?

Hello!
I'm newcomer in AppleScript. I have imported a lot of email messages from mbox.
The problem is that some of messages are displayed in correct russian encoding (KOI8-R) but
other messages displayed with incorrect encoding. So i need manually set their encoding
via mail menu to Cyrillic (Windows) to be able to read them. I got about 1000 of those messages.
Is there any possibility to mark those messages in mail and then run AppleScript to change
their encoding automatically?
something like that (that script is not working one):

You can try this approach
1. use mail package and java mapping to populate the mail package.
inside the java mapping do the following
a. read the text file and convert it to excel and then set it as additional attachment.
b. map the signature and body with the field 'content' of mail package.
2. on the receiver mail adapter check both mail package and keep attachment options.
Hopefully this will work.

Annotated PDF from Preview will not display annotations in iPad mail

I have an Annotated PDF from Preview will not display annotations in iPad mail, yet, it will display them on my Macbook Air. I confirmed this with another iPad user. Same results. Any ideas.

I had the same issue. iAnnotate PDF will display your annotations made in preview and allow you to annotate on the iPad. It is a great app, I and quite happy with it.

Major Mail Crash with iOS 6 and iPad 2... now a blank Mail screen

I just had a major Mail app crash with iOS 6 on my iPad 2.
I was composing an email with pictures in it and when I got to the point of pasting the forth picture into the email, the Apple Mail app started to get very sluggish and crashed. Now, every time I open the Mail app, the screen is white (i.e. - without any text on it) and then Mail crashes after about 10-15 seconds. (BTW - It seemed like the sluggishness got worse as I pasted the last two pictures in.... and the pictures were large sized (at about 750kB each).... so they weren't overly big in size.)
Closing the app, shutting down my iPad 2 and hard resetting my iPad (by holding down both the Home and Power buttons) have no effect on the problem.
This is a very bad situation since I'm traveling for business and was using the iPad for keeping up with email. Now, I get nothing put a blank screen whenever I try to open the mail app.
Does anyone know of a way to get the Mail app back?

Facing the same problem on iPad (3rd generation, wifi)
I'm using Gmail and every time I open it, it crash a lot (white screen or scroll down very,very slowly),also can't open or send anymore :(
Facebook is nice but it also crash (even I delete and reinstall several time, it still crash like slow respond or even no respond at all)
The most upset is touch seem crash sometime :( (need to touch two or three times)
Help!!! I don't wanna make myself look down on iOS after this upgrade! I do love the former 5.1.1 (smooth touch and easy mail)

PDFs do not e-mail as attachments but as main body text!

Whenever I attempt to send a PDF document by e-mail it forms part of the main body text rather than displaying as an attachment.

When I attach a PDF to Apple Mail on Mountain Lion, it is an icon. When I send it to an iCloud mail destination, the attachment arrives and is presented as an icon, whether on OS X, or in IOS 6.
I suspect that the recipient's mail user agent is responsible for the full image .vs. icon behavior, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it.

MLGR - external Mail with text in the body

It works fine with SBWP. There is the message text in the body. When I send it
to an external email-address, then the text is a pdf in the attachment. I'd like to have the text
also in the body of the external mail, so that the user don't have to open the attachment.

the easiest solution will be to switch to Medium 5.
Transmission Medium 5: Communication Strategy - Message Control (CA-GTF-BS) - SAP Library
and if necessary develop some lines of coding to find the correct mail-addresses and the content-stuff.
Class CL_BCS is very good documented and is really easy to use.
or another solution I found in my documents:
Transaction SO16 --> Send Mail to homeaddress. But that implements that you just send mails to internal users.
(And I'm not sure, if you just done exact that to get it to external users)

Setting Mail Subject and Body

Hi,
I have configured sending a mail with PDF attachment for Invoices in NACE. the program is RLB_INVOICE The mail goes fine with the PDF attachment to external mail address.
Now I need put subject and Body for the email.
There are 2 issues now.
1. In transaction NACE i am using "Mail title and texts" node when i fill the Document title, the same document title appears for the e-mail subject as well as the name of the attachment. But i need different names for the subject and attachment and the invoice number must be present in the subject.
2. Under the "Text" tab when i maintain some texts, this doesn't appear anywhere in the mail.
How do i maintain Subject and Body for the e-mail.

In the first screen
VF01 / VF02 ->
Set the Output type not to process immediately, use custom own transaction.
Save and come out of transaction.
And again
VF01/ VF02 ->
Issue Output type select the Output with medium 5.
and click on the OK button.
It should stop.
To pass value from driver program to Enhancement point.
I used FIELD SYMBOLS.
Since i am offline, i do not have exact syntax.
It will be something like this
FIELD SYMBOLS : <OUTPUTTYPE> type any.
ASSIGN '( PROGRAMNAME(FIELD NAME)) TO <OUTPUTTYPE>
