IPad splash screen/launch behavior broken in landscape mode for AIR 3.6?

I just updated to Air 3.6 (under FB 4.6) and I'm now seeing an issue with my app launching in landscape mode when the home button is on the left.
This is on my iPad 2 (running iOS 6.0). However, it doesn't happen on my iPad3 (running iOS5.1).
Launching my app under Air 3.6 on my iPad2 with the home button on the left the following sequence happens :
- The splash screen will appear properly.
- As the splash screen is going away, the app will rotate upside down and remain upside down after finishing launching.
- I must rotate the iPad 180 degrees and then back again to get it to recognize the correct orientation.
I have some other apps that use the same project as a template and share the same launch code. An app that I have that was compiled under Air 3.4 does not exhibit this problem at all on the exact same iPad. The launch sequence works seemlessly.
I have some other apps that were compiled under Air 3.2 on the same iPad that exhibit the following behavior, which isn't as severe :
- The splash screen will appear properly.
- The splash screen for a brief moment flips upside down.
- The splash screen then rights itself and the app launches the right way up as it should.
So it appears that something has changed in the way the AIR 3.6 is handling splash screens and the launching of an app.

Going into FB->Project Properties->ActionScript Compiler and adding -swf-version=19 to the "Additional compiler agruments" section seems to have fixed the issue for me.
It looks like this compiler agrument was mentioned in the release notes here, which I didn't find ealier :

Swipe up with 4 fingers, slide to the right, and tap the orientation lock button on the left of the music controls. If this button is not present, and instead replaced with a button with a speaker icon, slide the switch above the volume controls on the right side of your iPad. If you have a screen protector on the iPad's screen, try removing it. If you don't or that doesn't help, and restoring the iPad to factory settings has not corrected the problem, then the iPad probably has a hardware problem and will need to be taken or sent to Apple for replacement.

My iPhone 6 stopped switching to landscape mode for movies,pictures,tv or vedio.

TThe first thing to do is check, as Dilbert41 mentioned, whether the Rotation Lock is on. if you see the circular arrow around a small padlock at the top right of your screen turn it off using the Control Center. If the Roation Lock is off try a reset of your iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

Here is how to enable full screen mode for AIR Mac Desktop Apps

I just discovered that with a very simple native extension method, I can enable full screen mode for AIR Mac Desktop Applications.
This gets you the full screen icon in the top right, and it works perfectly with no changes to my code. (Obviously only works on Lion and above, since this is a Lion feature)

When building an iPad HTML5 app, why does the splash page not work correctly in landscape mode?

I have recently completed an HTML5 web app for the ipad and one of the most challenging things about the process was getting the splash screen to work.
I have now succesfully completed the job and the splash screen works, but only under the bizarre condition that the app is first launched in portrait mode. This seems pretty crazy as most people using the ipad for browsing do so in landscape mode.
Has anyone come across this problem and resolved it?

yes, bare in mind this is an HTML5 Web App and not a native app. so yes I have included code for both landscape and portrait modes.
I install the web app and open in portrait, it works. then close and open in landscape, it works.
if i install the app and open in landscape FIRST... then no splash screen ever works.
This isn't just my problem. I've read about in several forums over the past few days while investigating.

Landscape mode for home screen / iPhone 6 non-plussed

I recently switched from my dear old Samsung Galaxy S3 Android phone to an iPhone 6. Overall, the experience is fantastic. But one of the Android features I miss most is a surprisingly cosmetic one: the ability for the home screen to render as landscape mode.
I'd actually jailbreak my iPhone just for this one minor feature, but for various reasons, I'd prefer to not jailbreak. Nor am I going to pay for an iPhone 6 Plus for this feature--I actually like holding the smaller phone, but I want the home screen to be able to rotate nonetheless.
What's the best way to politely petition Apple to backport this feature from iPhone 6 Plus to iPhone 6?

How do I set a landscape mode for my print out with the CNIreport?

I am using CNIReport and I was wondering how to set a landscape mode when printting?

There is a property of the CNiReport object called "Orientation". You just set that property to Landscape using the enumeration provided in the CNiReport class. Here is an example with the full path to the enumeration value:

Go to the Apple store and show them. They will help you if you are honest with them and tell them that it simply broke. Make sure you are polite and they will take care of you.

Splash screen launcher

Hiya,
My application takes some time to start, so i want a small and quick launcher to kickstart things and show it's working. My current launcher uses a SystemExec that starts the other compiled file, but it's messy to get it to know when the program has started.
So, i've decided to try to make a VI server approach, it should just link the other file and be an easy fix, right? Wrong.
A Static VI reference works in the EXE, but then it loads the big application like a sub-vi, making as slow as before.
A path -> Open VI works in labview, but if i dont add it to Dynamic files it compiles to 300k and there's only a launcher (not too strange), and if i add it i cant compile (error 1003).
Adding both launcher and main to "Startup VI" works, but as in case 1 they start at the same time.
path -> Open VI from a separate .exe (the main separatly compiled) doesn't work (or i cant get it to work)
Any ideas?

Thanks Omp, but it doesn't solve my problem. Inlining still needs to be fully loaded to memory before executing, which is the opposite idea of a launcher.
The "start 2 VI's at once" in the application builder should be an easy solution, and being separate they shouldn't need to start at the same time. :/
(I can then use the VI's in memory property to determine if it's loaded)

landscape not working with you tube, internet t.v. and some apps worked before ios7 .....sreen is unlocked for rotation!

How do I get on-screen keyboard to work in tablet mode for Satellite Radius?

I have a Radius P55W-B5318. I love it, but when I use it in tablet mode, I can't seem to figure out how to get the on-screen touch keyboard to come up, which is necessary if I'm going to use it as a tablet. Any solutions? What am I missing here?
