IPod nano click wheel is crooked...

So I just bought a silver ipod nano 5g today, and it's great. But when I opened the case, I noticed that the click wheel is not lined up correctly. There is a small space between the outer part of the wheel and the body on the left side. The wheel itself works fine, but the space is pretty noticeable and it's annoying. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it worth taking it back to the Apple Store and exchanging it?

Take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.

  • My ipod nano click wheel will not work - Ipod works when docked on mobile speakers from remote control

My ipos Nano click wheel will not work, however when it is docked on mobile speakers it will work from the remote control.

If it continues to malfunction after a restore, it's probably bad hardware.
I'd recommend making a Genius Bar appointment. They'll probably give you a couple options: Replace it with an identical model for a discounted price, or trade it in for recycling and get 10% off a new iPod.

  • Where can I buy IPod Nano Click Wheel games?

I have the Ipod Nano 5th generation, and I can remember that a year ago, you were able to buy Click Wheel games in the ITunes Store. Recently I've got a $15 giftcard and wanted to buy some Click Wheel games, but I couldn't find the games anymore. Can someone please help me?

    Nowhere. Apple stopped selling them.

  • IPod nano, click wheel, 3rd generation

Click wheel not responding, can only get the screen to light up when I lock and unlock this ipod nano? Sync works but can't select anything even after a reboot.
    Any suggestions?

First thing to check is if the iPod is locked. I had the same problem the other day and I am very new to iPods (4 days!).

  • Ipod Nano click wheel

Hi I hope this is not a topic that has been well covered. My Ipod Nano (1st gen) click wheel will randomly stop working and will not work for days, then will mysteriously start working again. Any ideas how to fix this? I have restored the Ipod and updated the software but this seems to come up about once a month if not more often.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Nate

Just got my 4 gig blk and i've got the same problem. the centre button requires a lot firmer press than the mini does. you have to push it beyond where the tactile feedback gives you the "click". its quite annoying really. maybe the non-synaptics made clickwheels are harder to click?

  • IPod nano click wheel not working

I have a 1st generation iPod nano. My click/scroll wheel is not working. I origianally thought that my iPod was frozen, but I'm almost positive now that it is the click wheel. I have restarted it several times by holding down the menu and circle button. Also, I was able to sync it using my iTunes, so I'm pretty sure it's the click wheel. Is there any way to fix this? Any help is apreciated!

Not a harddrive problem, there isn't one in the Nano, a hardware problem.
If you are the DIY type you can go to http://www.ifixit.com and there are pictures to show you how to disassemble your iPod so you can see if it is a loose connection.
If you'd rather not take it apart yourself there are 3rd party sites, such as http://www.iresq.com and http://www.ipodmods.com as well as ifixit that work on iPods. You can use Google to find more.
I am assuming your iPod is out of warranty.

  • Ipod Nano Click Wheel games

I wanted to know if the Click Wheel games are compatible with the 5th Gen Nano. The sys reqs only go up to 4th gen. Will they still work?
    Regards,

Not all games work properly. Checker and Reversi do not work. In addition some other games that do work cause iTunes to not recognize the iPod with the message 'An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly'.

That is a hardware issue.  Take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.  If you want to DIY - iPod Repair Tutorials

  • Can one tell me if the games for iPod with Click Wheel with the 6G iPod compatible?

Can one tell me if the games for iPod with Click Wheel with the 6G iPod compatible?

No, the clickwheel games are for certain clickwheel only generations. There are no games for the nano 6 (yet)!

  • Refurbished iPod w/ Click Wheel (20GB)

Im thinking about vuying a Refurbished iPod w/ Click Wheel (20GB). but i had one big question. Is the battery good on it like is it new no chrges on the battery? or should i go with geting a nano?

I would assume that every refurbished item would have a fully charged battery. But if you're a little worried about buying a refurbished ipod...go with the nano. But if you want the larger Ipod, you should check and see if you get a warranty with the refurbished ipod.
