I just had FiOS tv installed over the weekend. I ordered the UFC Fight on my kitchen receiver and then went down to watch it in my basement - only to find out that it wasn't available on that TV. I had this resolved eventually, but it was a pain. I had to wait around for 20 minutes until a customer service agent could refund the event from one receiver and order it on another.
I don't remember having this issue with Directv. I seemed to be able to order an event and watch it on any TV in the house. Is it always going to be this difficult?

OK. Start with:
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to two (2). Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Click on the Erase tab in DU's main window. Select one of the two partitions, preferably the first one, change the Format type: to MSDOS then click on the Erase button.

You can't. Return the phone for a refund, if you can, because without the previous owner's Apple ID/Password, you will not be able to re-activate the phone. It will be useless to you.

Frank gave you the exact answer to your question.
However, I would like to ask if you are indeed asking the right question. Do you really want different libraries? The implications are that you have to "switch" libraries to see what's in the others, and so that your searches don't work across all of your pictures? If so, then you asked the right question. If not, you may be more interested in relocating your masters to multiple hard drives so your library gets smaller, instead of breaking up the library.

No. You'll need an external editor for that.

There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

In Editor, go to the expert tab.
Open picture B, the one you wish to select something from to add to another picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and object B on a separate layer.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your phone. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Placed a new order for one price and got billed for another

My 2 yr contract with Verizon is up in early September. I wanted to give Verizon a chance at retaining me, so I called up and spoke with a rep. There was a little back and forth until I accepted the final price she offered me. I was paying $84.99 a month plus taxes ($8.21) which brought it to $93.20. The new price was going to be $94.99 plus tax which I assumed whould bring it to $103 to $104. I get an estimate email which STARTS at $104.99 plus $18.66 in taxes for a total of $123.65. Twenty dollars more than what I should be paying. I call right back (within an hour) and they could not get the agent back I spoke to that made the deal. Another agent could not get me the price I was promised, but sent an email to the agent who made the deal to have her call me today. The call never came. Verizon... your customer service is the worst of ANY company I have ever dealt with. I called them back after it was apparent that that call would never arrive and the next agent offered me a package with LESS in order to get the price back to where it was already promised.. I CANCELLED the order. Verizon you tried to blame my browser for my being unable to pay my bill online awhile back (it was not the problem...you were) and now this. I gave you another chance and you tripped over your tried and true bad customer service once again. Next month I will be switching to Time Warner...where they actually have an office in this city where I can go and speak to somebody in person.

I had this on line agent promise to send me a replacement router at no extra cost, the order was never put through....come to find out that Verizon doesn't give out free routers. So the agent lied and meanwhile, put in all of these other upgrades that I never requested, that I had to ask another agent over the phone to get rid of! And when I tried telling this to customer service, these other agents acted like they knew nothing and went on saying that nothing about that was documented in their notes. I told them that somebody needs to review the transcript from the on line conversation because it's all right there! You have a right to know what you are going to be paying too. I've been fine with understanding their estimated bills upon renewing my contract but it can be confusing. It's very true that they don't follow through with their communication toward customers and they need to explaing things better. They need to stop with these constant apologies, rerouting your call all over the place, and do their jobs. I find that a lot of these reps have an attitude. The sad thing too is that this is only a step above Amazon. Amazon has awful customer service and sells defective merchandise. If you think you can do better with Time Warner, then go for it. I don't have that option here. But it's your time and money and it's a service that you're paying for.

If you can see it disappearing before your eyes, it is likely to be some runaway process. Possibly a log filling up.
Open the Console application and click to system.log and at the bottom, see if there is some process repeating endlessly.
Post the last several lines of that log if you think it is relevant. Don't post the entire log though, just the end bit.

You cannot merge apple id's. remember that before creating any new ones in the future.
You have two choices. Live with it, or repurchase the apps under the id you intend to keep using.

Order status, is the upgrade wait always this long?

i upgraded my fios internet from 15/2 to 25/15 about a week ago. My order status date shows 9/28 and 75% complete. I'm wondering if it's possible to speed up this process or do i just wait untill 9/28 for the upgrade to take effect? Thanks in advance

Chances are that they are waiting for your billing cycle. End one month at one speed and start the next on the new speed. You could probably contact CS and see if they can change the date on the order, but I'd probably just wait and avoid any issues from contacting CS.
