Is it normal for iCloud restore to take three day to download

my iPhone 5 just came back for repair from apple and i did iCloud restore and its been three days know and its still not finished is this normal

It theory, the wifi connection doesn't need to be constant.  If the wifi connection is interrupted, the restore is supposed to be suspended for up to three days and resume when your wifi connection is restored.  In practice, however, it sometimes doesn't resume and can stall out.  It's best to leave it connected to wifi and your charger and just let it finish restoring the backup.  Unless this has changed, you should be able to go to Settings>iCloud and tap Stop Restoring, then erase the phone and start the restore process over as explained here: iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud.

No, it shouldn't take that long.
Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.
Restart your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Then re download the app.  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Is it normal for apple tv to take up to 90 minutes to restore to factory settings?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
No, that's not normal, should be no more than a couple of minutes. Updating afterwards may take a little longer since it depends on your network speeds.

  • HT4914 Does the music upload limit of 25 000 songs to iCloud is aside of the 6gig limit offered by iCloud for stocking/saving data or is it the same? Will I have to pay for an storage limit update for iCloud because I take iTunes Match?

And will I have to pay for an update storage limit for iCloud because I take iTunes Match?

No, your iCloud storage is seperate. I have 42GB of music in my itunes match account and I still have almost all of the 5GB of storage space free. You only have to pay for itunes match once and as long as you don't have more than 25,000 songs in your itunes, you are good to go.

  • HT201359 Refund sought for online episodes that take too long to download

If you purchase episodes online through itunes, then discover it is going to take 10 hours to download each episode, can you cancel your order and get a refund?

Ask your Internet Provider. It can depend on many things. What program are you using to download the movie?

  • 45-Second Video Takes Three Days to Render

I created a video in AE CS6 and dropped it into Premiere.  Instead of rendering the video in AE, I decided to make my final video by exporting to AME.  I need to convert this 45-second AE file into an H264.  It’s been three days.  I left it running over the weekend.  The last time I did this with the same file it only took five hours, which is still too long.  Other videos don’t take this long.  What could be the matter?

I have several hours of MP4 video.
FCE is designed to edit QuickTime/DV and QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec.  Import other stuff and you will end up needing to render all the time, as you have found out.
Notes: generally, standard def 4:3 video or 16:9 anamorphic video needs to be QT/DV whereas high def 16:9 video needs to be QT/AIC.  FCE can capture native HDV and AVCHD from camera but they are automatically transcoded to QT/AIC by FCE during capture).
It would help to know exactly what your MP4 video clips are (open one or two in QuickTime, then open the Movie Inspector and tell us what it says for frame size, frame rate and codec/compression).
Many people in this forum use MPEG Streamclip to convert  other video formats to QT/DV or QT/AIC.  I have used it often and it does a great job.

  • Is it normal for env open to take more than a minute?

I'm relatively newbie to bdb. I'm using the python bindings to the berkeley db, and the call to dbenv.open takes an inordinate amount of time (in the order of minutes). Granted, my program has very large transactions, but all have been committed in the previous invocation of the program.
Can it be something that I do incorrectly when shutting down the application? Or, if this is normal behavior, can I at least do something to move the delay from application starting to the (previous) application termination (which would be much more tolerable)?

I use it from python (i.e., through the bsddb library). Here's the code for opening:
    self.dbenv = db.DBEnv()
    self.dbenv.set_cachesize(0,100*1024*1024)
    self.dbenv.set_lk_max_locks(20000)
    self.dbenv.set_lk_max_objects(20000)
    self.dbenv.set_lk_detect(db.DB_LOCK_DEFAULT)
    self.dbenv.set_flags(db.DB_LOG_AUTOREMOVE, True)
    self.dbenv.open(self.__dbenv_dir(), db.DB_RECOVER| db.DB_CREATE |db.DB_INIT_TXN| db.DB_INIT_MPOOL| db.DB_INIT_LOCK|db.DB_THREAD)
I thought that some of the parameters might be excessive. However, the problem does not occur with an empty db, only when it becomes very large (currently it takes 800M on the disk).
The closing is, I think, standard - I just call close on all the databases and on the dbenv. There are no error messages during the closing.

  • Is it normal for iPhoto "11" to take time to "adjust"

when i click an event it opens normally, when i click on a picture to expand it, sometimes stays blurry for a few seconds then sharpens up. is this normal?
it never seems to be an issue for full screen mode just the in between sizes after opening an event. i never experienced this in iphoto "09"
    thanks

It's not unusual. It's the business of actually opening the file. Until you do this you're only viewing a thumbnail.

  • Is it normal for a synch to take forever???

I have just got my Apple TV (yay). No problems connecting it all up and it displays beautifully on my 50" plasma. The only concern I have is that it looks like it is stuck synching the first item with my iTunes library.
The first item that it decided to sync (i.e. 1 of 2694) is a movie, about 1.9GB in size. iTunes has been saying that it is synching this movie for the past 20 minutes. At this rate it will take days to fully sync.
    Setup is:
    - iTunes running on my iMac
    - Music, movies, photos etc. are on my Time Capsule
    - iMac, Time Capsule and ATV are all on the same wired network (100MBit)
Maybe I am worrying over nothing, but it should not take half an hour to copy a 2GB file over a 100Mbit wired connection.

Problem solved. It was the network.
Previously my iMac, the TC and ATV were all plugged into my Belkin router (TC in bridge mode). I changed the config so that both the iMac and ATV are plugged into the TC. Now the synch is very fast and continuous.
For the moment I may just use the Belkin router to manage my wireless network for all the other computers and devices in the house (1 Macbook, 2 PC, 2 iPod Touch, 1 Wii, XBox, iPhone, etc.) although I am thinking that it may be better if I turn the wireless back on on the TC and have it manage all the network and just have the Belkin modem/router running in pass through mode.

  • Is it normal for iPhone 5 to take about 4 hours and 15 minutes to completely charge from 0%?

My iPhone 5 takes just over 4 hours to completely charge from a complete battery drain. I am very curious as to whether or not this is normal or abnormal? My previous device was the Droid Razr Maxx HD which took about 2 hours to completely charge. Am I stressing over nothing?

    From the horse's mouth: http://www.apple.com/batteries/
"Most lithium-ion polymer batteries use a fast charge to charge your device to 80% battery capacity, then switch to trickle charging. That’s about two hours of charge time to power an iPhone to 80% capacity, then another two hours to fully charge it, if you are not using the iPhone while charging. You can charge all lithium-ion batteries a large but finite number of times, as defined by charge cycle."

  • Why when I start the backup on iCloud it take three days to complete it and then after three days it haven't completed it? I have to backup just 1GB.

Ah and casually my iPad disconnects from the Internet.(most of the times when it is blocked)

Usually when you delete account it will ask you what you want to do keep on the phone or delete about everything. The only thing it will reset is Photostream. Even if you were (unwittingly) to delete those documents from the phone - which I would not, those still should be saved in the cloud and you can verify that on the same website - Icloud.com.

  • How can I make my Apple TV more reliable? It takes a day to download a HD movie on a T1 to play later, but when I try to play the movies, Apple TV can't, and says try again later. Doesn't the day download time put the HD movie on the Apple TV device?

How can I make my Apple TV work? I downloaded two movies, to play later, on April 4, 2014. I tried to watch them this evening only to get a message they are not available and to try later. How long can it take Apple to download the movies? I encourage anyone thinking about buying an Apple TV to get a different media player that is reliable. Apple TV is not worth the money, nor the time it takes to download movies, nor the effort trying to get your money back when Apple TV fails, and it failsl oftern.. Apple never seems to have a problem charging for the movies, but it frequently has a provlem delivering what people pay for.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

  • HT4847 my iphone storage is full and I do not have enough storage for upgrades or to take photos/videos, etc. My icloud is on for photos/videos. Can I safely delete them on my phone to make storage room knowing I can access them on my icloud?

My iphone storage is full and I do not have enough storage for upgrades or to take more photos/videos, download apps, etc. I do have my photos/videos ON for icloud sync but not sure if I can safely delete them from my iphone to make room. And if I can delete them from my phone how do I access them on my icloud? I logged in for the first time and do not see where to access photos/videos?

You can't just store photos on icloud.  They can be included as part of a backup or when using photo stream to sync photos from one device to another, but 1) photo stream keeps photos for up to 30 days after which they are deleted from the servers, and 2) never rely on a backup to icloud as a way of storing photos.  (When photos are deleted from the device, they are no longer on recent backups, and older backups get deleted in short time.)
When it comes to photos, users should sync them to a computer for archiving.  Then they can delete the photos from the device, as the computer will have copies.
Photos in backups on icloud cannot be viewed on icloud.
