Is it possible to delay the startup of automatic wifi sync?

Here is my problem:
Wifi sync works just fine.
There is wifi coverage in my driveway.
I plug my iphone to my car in the morning to drive to work.
The iPhone sees the wifi and is now connected to power and it starts another sync.
I start to drive to work and leave the wifi coverage.
Now itunes displays a error that must be 'OK'ed before sync will work again.
So is there a way of delaying the sync like for example start the sync when on the wifi and connected to power for at least 15 minutes?
Ideally this should be user configurable.
Say start after 5 hours connected. (to synk at morning after a long night charge)
Or just to stop problems like mine with a bit too god wifi coverage..

Delay the startup of certain applications

I am having a problem in that when I start my G4 PowerBook, iChat AV starts BEFORE the Airport connection is completed (I have an old, old, old, did I mention it was old, Graphite Airport). I have iChat set to start up automatically so it tries to start before the computer connects with the Airport. Is there a way to delay the startup of Applications until the Airport connection is made? Is there another way I can have iChat start automatically when booting, but start AFTER it's found the Airport connection? Yes, I know I need to buy a new Airport, but I spent all my money on the G4 PowerBook!

Delete the apps from Login items and simply click on their Dock icons to launch. That will speed up the boot process. Yes, you could probably write a script, but manually launching is the simple way.

When answering and making voice calls, is it possible to have the loudspeaker activate automatically during the voice call? Is there any settings on the device which can be changed for this to happen?

Thanks cor-el! I had tried that out, but was turned off by the different workflow (can't click Tab to select the address suggestions) and assumed by the look that I couldn't use my Smart Keywords for searches.
In fact, the workflow isn't that much bulkier and the Location Bar is fully functional:

The update did not do anything.
AT&T cannot and will not do anything, they do not provide support for iPhones, Apple does.
The issue is not with the iPhone or iOS if you've reset network settings and tried forgetting the Wi-Fi Network, it is specific to the network.
Check the settings on the router, try disabling the security settings first... that will clarify the issue is not with the device but rather the Network.

Is It Possible To Mute The Startup Chime ?

On my other computers (G3 iMac + G4 eMac), simply putting a 3.5mm plug (connected to speakers or not) into the headphone socket is sufficient to silence the startup chimes.
To my surprise, this doesn't work with my new iMac. It seems that the chimes are now separate from the normal audio system.
Is it possible to mute them ?

[SOLVED] is it possible to retrieve the data available in my sync account as i have forgotten some password which my browser is still remembering?

as i sign up with new websites with new user name and passwords, firefox offers me whether to remember the passwords or not.
i have selected 'remember password' for so many sites and got my data synchronized with firefox sync. i am having an account and a sync key.
but the problem is that i have forgotten some of the passwords which are still remembered in fire fox.
though i am not facing any problem opening those sites as my browser automatically completes the password for me, i am unable to change the password with a new one as i have forgotten the old!
so is it possible to retrieve the passwords remembered in my browser as well as in my sync account?

simply go to TOOLS>OPTIONS>SECURITY>SAVED PASSWORDS
and the select 'show passwords'.

What exactly it the difference between iTunes Wifi-Sync and iCloud Backup?

Okay, i do not yet have a mac, only an iPod touch, but am (hopefully) buying a mac soon (MacBook Pro to be specific). I buy all my music etc on my iPod, and am currently use iCloud sync which i have all the buttons in the ON position. Anyway, i am rather confused after reading alot about the two methods of syncing there exact differences. When i get my mac can i use both- for reasurance or do i have to choose one? Also, does iTunes wifi sync my photos and videos (thats photos ive taken and videos ive made/filmed) and does iCloud do this. Also if i use both photostream and iCloud/iTunes for my photos, will that create double ups of all my photos?

Wi-Fi sync works in the same way as syncing over a USB cable, albeit more slowly, and can be used when your iTunes library can see your device on your local network.

iCloud backup saves the settings and documents from your apps to the cloud instead of your own computer. It seems you either backup to your computer or to iCloud, but not both, at least not on a regular basis. You may still be able to trigger a local backup manually when using iCloud for backup.

Is it possible to delay the flash on a T5i to fire at the end of a long exposure shot

I'm wanting to take long exposure shots of dancers and would like the flash to fire at the end of the exposure instead of the begining to increse the depth of field right as the shutter closes. Is that possible using the on camera flash of a T5i and if so what are the settings?

When you use a TTL flash (Canon's E-TTL or E-TTL II) the camera uses a multi-zone metering system (think of an imaginary grid system overlaying your image) and (1) meters with no flash at all, then (2) fires a pre-flash at very low power while simultaneously metering again. It then compares the difference in each zone between #1 and #2 to determine how much of a difference the flash made. By doing this it can identify highly reflective surfaces (e.g. mirrors, glass, reflective metals, etc.) and eliminate those from the flash evaluation. It can also find zones where the flash seemingly made no difference at all (e.g. if there was a light source in that zone... such as a lamp) and elminate those. Light sources and reflections would ordinarily fool a flash metering system into thinking it had produced enough light ... even if it hadn't. With those zones safely eliminated it can then compare the difference for each zone between #1 and #2 to determine how much addtional power should be necessary to correctly light them.
It does all of this during the pre-flash. The shutter is closed when it does this (the light will not affect your image.)
Then the shutter opens and at some point it fires the flash again... only this time using the power level calculated during the pre-flash phase. Only this second firing of the flash will show up in your image.
If you switch the flash to manual mode, you wont get a pre-flash.
The on-board flash is useful as a "fill" flash (decreasing the severity of shadows) and it can be used as a primary flash IF the subject is reasonably close (e.g. around 10' is fine... 14' feet is a stretch and beyond that... not so great.)
An externally attached speedlite flash can provide significantly more power. It can also be located off-camera to provide better lighting (on camera lighting is "flat" because there's no highlight/shadow side to any 3D surface... textures look 2D as a result.)
As for "depth of field"... this is a different problem and the flash can help, but there are some caveats.
If you're shooting indoors with only the available light in the room, then you're likely in challenging circumstances and using lenses with wide-open apertures. Hence the depth of field is fairly narrow.
If you could increase the lighting then you could reduce the aperture opening and increase the depth of field.
But there is a catch.... light exhibits a property sometimes called "fall off". This is because it follows a rule in physics called the "inverse square law" whereby the intensity of light decreases as the distance from the light source increases. Each time the distance from the light source increases by the square root of 2, the light intensity is cut in half (exactly half... that's not an approximation.) E.g. the amount of light illuminating a subject which is 14.1 feet away from the flash will be exactly half as compared to a subject which was only 10' away. The square root of 2 is approximately 1.41. So 10 x 1.41 = 14.1.
This means if you are photographing two subjects... one is 10' away and the other is about 14' away then the more distant subject will only receive half as much light. Suppose we go to a crazy distance... and we have a flash 100' away. NOW the second person has to be 141' away before they get half as much light. This means two subjects within just a few feet of each will not receive "noticeably" different levels of light.
While placing the flash farther from the two subjects will reduce the difference in illumination on your near vs. far subject, built-in flashes cannot handle these larger distances... they don't have enough power. But an external flash brings more power for you to do this.
Canon's speedlite model numbers actually provide an indication of their power level. If you delete the trailing zero from the model number (e.g. in a 430EX II you'd omit the "0" and get "43"... in a 600EX-RT you'd omit one "0" and get "60', etc.) the number you get is the flash "guide number" in meters. The "guide number" is an indicator of how far the flash can adequately illuminate a subject... but the f-stop and ISO settings you use on the camera will change this. So the "guide number" uses a baseline ISO of 100 and a baseline f-stop of f/1. Of course you don't have an f/1 lens but the baseline is used because it makes the math easy. You divide the guide number by the f-stop you are using. e.g. if you are shooting at ISO 100 and f/8 then you'd divide your guide number (suppose you have a Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT.. that's a guide number of 60 meters) and you'd get 60 ÷ 8 = 7.5 meters. Convert meters to feet and that works out to 24.6 (about 25'). Of course that's at ISO 100. Bump up to ISO 200 and you can multiply that distance by 1.41... or bump up to ISO stops to ISO 400 and you can double the distance (about 50'... and that's at f/8).
I should caveat that this assumes you are pointing the flash directly at the subject and there are no light modifiers in use (no soft-diffusers, you aren't "bouncing" the flash off a ceiling or wall, etc.)

Is it possible to increment the table rows automatically?

In my HTML page I created one table with some columns but i'm unable to write code for incrementing the rows dynamically....
i.e.. soon after entering the data in the last column, a new row should be automatically created by pressing enter key (without using any buttons it should create new row).... Is it possible...

I don't think so. You have to trigger an js event to create a new row, I guess. You may need to write lot of javascript code. You can look for some third party grid controls.

Is it possible to delay certain login items?

I would like to try and speed up the launching of OS X. It seems to take quite a bit of time to get started. When I first got my Mac, the startup times were much quicker. However, now since I've added a whole bunch of startup applications, it takes much longer. I generally use all of my startup applications, but I do not need most of them when I first login. Would it be possible to delay the launching of certain applications to speed up my startup time? Are there any programs that do this? I imagine it would be possible to write a script to do this.

How do I specify the Startup VI for a LLB in LV 8.5.1 Full?

I recently upgraded to LabVIEW 8.5.1 from LabVIEW 7.1.1. I entered the project Build Specifications and compiled my code into a LV .llb file called "my_program.llb". I also specified the top level vi (called "main.vi") inside my_program.llb. Now I want to make "main.vi" automatically open and execute whenever the user double clicks on my_program.llb from within Windows Explorer. How can I do this in LV 8.5.1 Full?
Right now when the user double clicks on my_program.llb, the LLB Manager window opens, but "main.vi" doesn't automatically launch like it used to do back when I was using LabVIEW 7.1.1 Full.
I know it is possible to specify the Startup VI using the Professional version, but is this possible to do in the Full version?

I have configured the APs to authenticate with 802.1X via the switch.
When I shut the port on which the AP is connected and then no shut it, the port comes up a few seconds later and the switch sends a dot1x authentication.
I feel that the AP has not finished to boot and that's why it fails because the AP doesn't answer that authentication request.
I was wondering if it's possible to delay the first authentication message the switch sends just after a port comes up ?
When I use debug commands I see

I've just read the chapter regarding the profiling with APs so far and got them working properly the way they showed it.
However I'm not a big fan of MAB and profiling. Because ISE retieves CDP informations collected through SNMP.
- You need CDP (or LLDP) enabled and you might not want that for different reasons (Security, Interoperability...)
- A machine could lie about its identity and pretend through CDP that it's a controller, an AP, a printer and so on.
That's why the best option, in my opinion would be that the AP sends its credentials and ISE accept it or reject is.

I have requirement to prevent partner (position) to be changed by some users. Is it possible to make the partner filled automatically ? Let say i choose appropriation request type A1. It will belong to 5 positions.
