In AJAX, is it possible to pass a parameter to ON_DEMAND process?
(I get value in javascript and want to pass it to on_demand process...)

Yes, provided you have set up an Application Item to receive the value you can use this within your PL/SQL code.

To be able to access another user’s mailbox, we need to assign the account full access permission to access the other user’s mailbox.
And then we can access the other user’s mailbox through URL like this:
https://xxx.outlook.com/owa/[email protected]
I recommend to edit the Search result page(when a search center is used) and add a button to the page. When user clicks the button, redirect to the corresponding mailbox.
If a user name is typed in the search box, use JSOM to get the login name or email address of the user and generate the URL of the user’s mailbox which will be used when clicking the button.

Thank you for the reference. Little bit confused, please let me clarify.
I do not understand how the receiver SWF receieved the data parameter and process.
For example, I have a parent dashboard and a child dashboard. In the parent dashboard, I have set up combo box to filter the data. And I want the data that I have selected in combo box to the child dashboard.
To do this, first I need to setup the flash variable at the parent dashboard to fetch the data I selected.
After this, how to link this data to the child dashboard?
Furthermore, after the child dashboard received the data parameter, I need this data to insert into the spreadsheet so I can filter the data. Is this possible?

Pass a parameter to Surikogiflex client

I'd like to know if it is possible to pass a parameter to Surikogiflex client, to be able to tell it to open a certain story.
For example, I wonder if it is possible to have in an html page a link like
<a href="localhost:8400/suribachi/clients/surikogiflex/?icml=/documents/doc1/story1.icml">Ed it story in Surikogi</a>
and when the user clicks it have Surikogiflex client open loading the selected story, without passing from the Document browser window.
Is something like this possible?

i am trying to pass the parent_id as a parameter to a portal page but am not able to... i can add it to the list of in parameters to the PL/SQL based parent id but when i add the parent id to the url then i get no result... i created a custom attribute for the parent id since there is no attribute build other then page group and page id... when I set the Parent ID attributes default value in the attribute properties of the item type based on PL/SQL it just brings back results for the default value and if i pass a different value for ithe parent id i dont get the correct result I get the result for the default parent id.

You can write a data template, and call the function from within the xml block for the data template, as in a database query.
The rtf supports xsl code behind the tags, so can write xsl code in rtf.

First of all, this is the first time that I am using threads.
My question was as folllows:
suppose that I have (5) unsorted values stored in a vector (V1), and in my code I generate (5) threads each thread must read one of the values from (V1) , add it to a new vector (V2), then sort (V2).
for example : if v1 = {5,4,3,2,1} , then the first thread reads{5} and store it in v2, the second thred reads{4} , store it in v2 and sort the new list (i.e. {4,5}) and so on.
I thought that it is may be possible to pass a parameter (for example 5,4,5,2,1) to the run( ) / start( )method of the thread so that this method can use this passing parameter in the run( ) method.

Passing a parameter to an Excel file when opening it

I would like to know if it is possible to pass a parameter to an Excel file when calling that file from within another Excel file using VBA. I am using the 2007 version. An example of what I would like to do is what we use to do with DOS programs and command
line parameters. I would like to have the Excel file I just opened do something depending on the parameter passed to it and then close.

Hi, We need to pass an array/List/Vector of values (each value is a 10 character string) into TopLink's StoredProcedureCall. The maximum number of elements on the list is 3,000 (3,000 * 10 = 30,000 characters).
This exposed two questions:
1. Is it possible to pass a Vector as a parameter in TopLink's StoredProcedureCall, such as

The best way that we have found so far was to use single string as a parameter. The individual values would be delimited by comma, such as "ab-gthhjko,cd-gthhjko,ef-gthhjko..."
However, in this case concern is the size that can be 3,000 * 11 = 33, 000 characters. The maximum size of VARCHAR2 is 4000, so we would need to break calls in chunks (max 9 chunks).
Is there any other/more optimal way to do this?

Hello,
No, you cannot currently pass a vector of objects as a parameter to a stored procedure. JDBC will not take a vector as an argument unless you want it to serialize it (ie a blob) .
The Oracle database though does have support for struct types and varray types. So you could define a stored procedure to take a VARRAY of strings/varchar, and use that stored procedure through TopLink. For instance:
StoredProcedureCall call = new StoredProcedureCall();
call.setProcedureName("STORED_PROCEDURE_NAME");
call.addNamedArgument("PERSON_CODE");
oracle.sql.ArrayDescriptor descriptor = new oracle.sql.ArrayDescriptor("ARRAYTYPE_NAME", dbconnection);
oracle.sql.ARRAY dbarray = new oracle.sql.ARRAY(descriptor, dbconnection, dataArray);
Vector parameters = new Vector();
parameters.addElement(dbarray);
session.executeQuery(query,parameters);This will work for any values as long as you are not going to pass in null as a value as the driver can determine the type from the object.
dataArray is an Object array consisting of your String objects.
For output or inoutput parameters you need to set the type and typename as well:
sqlcall.addUnamedInOutputArgument("PERSON_CODE", "PERSON_CODE", Types.ARRAY, "ARRAYTYPE_NAME"); which will take a VARRAY and return a VARRAY type object.
The next major release of TopLink will support taking in a vector of strings and performing the conversion to a VARRAY for you, as well as returning a vector instead of a VARRAY for out arguments.

Is it possible to pass some type of parameter/unique id FROM PDF?

I will try to explain this as best as I can but please bear with me.
I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
We have drawings linked to each other in pdf.
When you open a drawing (say, a layout of a house), my boss wants to be able to click on say, a door, and have all the information on that door pop up (size, manufacturer, when it was shipped, etc). The information log is stored in Excel. I know how to hyperlink to open an excel file FROM pdf, but cannot figure out how to open a specific sheet in Excel. So here is my question:
1. How do I link to a specific sheet in Excel so it opens when I click on a link in the pdf file?
Having said that, we are going to have around 1500 items and I don't want to have to create 1500 sheets (if that's even possible) to open the details for each one. So here is question #2:
2. Is it possible to pass some type of parameter to excel (or even Access) to know what item was clicked on the pdf file so I can write a macro/code in Excel to just fill in the details for that item? (Hence just needing one sheet instead of 1500?).
Suggestions/path forwards are welcome.

There really isn't a way to do that. It would be possible to export an Excel sheet to a tab-delimited (or CSV, XML) file which could optionally be attached to the PDF. JavaScript inside the PDF could read the data file and extract the information for an item so it could be displayed somehow.

Is it possible to pass a null Input Oracle parameter to a stored procedure

I have a stored procedure that take 3 inputs and gives 1 output.I'm using Oracle parameter to add all 3 input parameters as follows :

and added the output parameter as follows:

On the UI end , the user has a choice to provide 1 input or all inputs or any 2 inputs based on his interest. Stored Proc looks as follows:
SP( inp1 in parameter, inp2 in parameter, inp3 in parameter, output1 out parameter)
If i just get 1 input or 2 inputs from the user, is it fine to query the data for output using same stored procedure or should i have individual stored procedures for each scenario(combination of different inputs)?
Will i get any pl/sql error that says invalid number of arguements?

This means if i have 1 input , i need to have a different method to pass 1 parameter value and other input parameters as null and if there are 2 inputs will need different method to handle. So 5 different methods all together?
What if the stored procedure is as follows ,will its make things easier so that only one method is used for all scenarios?(optional parameters is set default value as null in the stored proc)
