Is it possible to print over a SAMSUNG Galaxy S phone onto a HP Scanjet Photosmart printer?

I have a SAMSUNG Galaxy S Phone and I want to print documents and pictures via eprint on my HP Scanjet Photosmart B110 series printer.
Where can I get an App for my phone to do this?
Thanks
Dieter

Hi Dieter-trainer,
You do not need an App to ePrint from your Android pone. All you have to do is compose an e-mail with the items you wish to print. Then in the two section, type your printer's eprint e-mail address.

  • Can I access my iCloud account on a Samsung Galaxy Android Phone?

    Question stated above!

I've been playing with a Galaxy here at work and here's what I've found so far - please feel free to jump in and suggest alternative methods to configure or access the various icloud components.
So the original Q: Can you access your icloud account on Android?
Not entirely: the website can't be used from an android browser (not properly - even with Dolphin HD and posing as different browsers it won't load correctly.  So Find my iphone is out, so is the address book or looking at your e-mail or calendar just in a browser window
I was able to setup my e-mail using the IMAP settings published here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864
Be sure to setup the account manually - and note if you have trouble using SSL try TLS (that worked for me)
Address book is a no go so you'll have to use iTunes to sync all your contacts over to Gmail - if you still have an iPad it means managing contacts in two places though .  Same goes for your calendar - transfer it to Gmail and forget about iCloud's calendar.  Nice instructions here: http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-20064060-285/how-to-switch-from-iphone-to-an droid/
iWork is an Apple proprietary bit so don't expect much there.
So in my case, if I'm really going to make the switch to a Galaxy from my iPhone it really means I'm going to have to switch to using google as the backend.  The timing to swap over to a galaxy/android phone is not the greatest - given that I'd have to give up my Apple addiction (syncing photos and itunes and losing access to my device tracking).  Plus I still have an iPad and a mac and like living in the Apple ecosystem.  I think I'll wait and see what the new iPhone looks like before I commit

  • Does Samsung Galaxy III phones recognized WiFi that does not broadcast SSID?

I recently purchased Samsung Galaxy III phone.  At home, I turned on WiFi SSID broadcast on the router to set up phone to connect to router.  I then turned off SSID broadcast on router, and phone no longer connects to WiFi.  I understand security is better when SSID is not broadcasting, but this phone will not connect now.  Apple products connects just fine.  Why will the phone not connect to a router that does not broadcast SSID event when the information is programmed into the phone?

  • HP Pavilion Desitop & Samsung Galaxy s3 Phone won't pair

My HP Pavilion Elite-HPE-4801t Windows7 and my Samsung Galaxy s3 os v.4.3 will not pair using bluetooth.  All devices are up to date with software, drivers and updates.
I am also using a Netgear WIND4500 Wireless Router for my home network and I can see both devices on the network and both have internet access.
From my HP desktop I can go to devices and select [add device] which then finds my Samsung Galaxy s3. After selecting device and clicking next..my S3 receives a message showing a pairing code.  After choosing [ok] and a few minutes I receive a msg on the phone "Confirm passkey xxxxxx [yes][no]" & selecting [yes] i receive a "Error Unable to pair with xxxx-HP. Incorrect PIN or password."
From my Galaxy S3 phone can go to bluetooth settings [available devices] which shows my HP desktop name..when I select I get "Bluetooth pairing request" "Confirm passkey is xxxxxx to pair with the HP desktop [cancel][ok]. I select [ok] and it shows "Pairing..." the I get the Error msg 'Unable to pair with xxxx-HP. Incorrect PIN or password"
The s3 & s4 do not allow you to manually enter the PIN or passcode.  It's automatic [cancel] or [ok] only so I cannot confirm if the pairing passcode is the same on both devices.  What's up with that?
I have tried everything I have read in the HP, Samsung, Internet forums.
    Shut down both systems
Uninstalled & reinstalled drivers both bluetooth & phone
Checked firewall including disabling antivirus & firewall.
It appears to me that the:
HP desktop sees the Samsung s3 phone and the
Samsung s3 sees the HP desktop
I have unpaired all other wireless devices, cleared cache and data with no luck
They just won't pair to each other.
    PS.
I have also tried to pair my Samsung s4 phone with the same results.
I can connect a USB cable and with a little tweaking can transfer files both ways.
I can also auto connect with my Motorola "Roadster" bluetooth hands-free car speaker and I can connect the s3 to any of serveral bluetooth wireless speakers I have. ie; Motorola, Creative, etc.
I also have a Samsung inFuse phone and have no problem pairing the HP and inFuse using bluetooth.
I have not solved this problem nor have I seen a solution since I first got the Galaxy s3 & s4 phones. At this point I have to either "live with it" or "no mas"
Sorry this post is so long...it is my history of flustration with bluetooth phone pairing.
Anybody out there got a fix???????

    Hi,
Samsung has stopped at one point the distribution for android 4.3 to many international countries.  There were many problems and some were Bluetooth related.  I can't say the Bluetooth problems are the same as what you are experiencing.  See this post.
I have paired my S3 with Windows Windows 7 and 8 and I do remember having to enter the passkey (auto generated) at least once to set up the initial parring.  I am on android 4.1.2.
You might try uninstalling Samsung Kies and the S3 drivers and then reinstall.  Try the latest drivers from the Samsung site if necessary.
Be sure that your PC is using the same Bluetooth level as your android 4.3. supports.

  • Premiere Pro CC: MP4 video files from a Samsung Galaxy S3 Phone

I work with Adobe Premiere Pro CC, and I am able to import the MP4 files from my Galaxy S3. The video files are very good quality. The problem is that the videos do play, but they are really choppy and freeze alot. Is there any way I can makes my MP4 video files run smoothly?
    Thanks in advance.

An Intel i3 is VERY minimal for anything other than DV video such as that digitized from a tape camera
Newer, more compressed codecs need a LOT more computing power to edit
As well as your i3, how much Ram and how many hard drives?
You should have at least two 7200 RPM hard drives, or one SSD and one 7200 RPM hard drive... drive one for Windows and all software, drive two for projects and video files

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab - phone call and dial pad

can you actually make a phone call grom the galaxy tab, if so where is the dial pad

AFAIK, this is not a feature of the stock version.  You could try installing an app such as dialer one from the market and see if it works, but I doubt it.

  • HP 2540 printer connectivity to iPad 3rd Generation via Samsung Galaxy S2 hotspot

I guess a more concise although apparently too long of a subject line would be:
Printing with an HP Deskjet 2540 printer from an iPad 3rd Generation using the hotspot of a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone
I'm trying to print documents from my iPad (3rd Generation). I have a Virgin Mobile hotspot, which is the network I am using on my iPad to connect to the Internet. The problem is, when trying to print while connected to this network, I cannot find my HP Deskjet 2540 wireless printer. However, once I turn off the hotspot and connect to the regular (non-hotspot) Wi-Fi network, the printing option appears. The reason I don't instead just print using the Wi-Fi connection is precisely because I intend to get rid of the Wi-Fi; so I'm testing the hotspot/printer/iPad connectivity to ensure I can print prior to canceling my Wi-Fi service.
When my iPad is connected to the hotspot network and I have the document I want to print open, I can't see the printer; however, if I close the document and go to the Wi-Fi setting of my iPad, I can see the different other networks available, including one called HP-Print-73-Deskjet 2540 series. I try to click on it, to see if maybe by accessing that network directly I could return to the document and print it, but it requires a password I don't have.
    Now, the questions:
    1) Is there a way I can find out my printer password?
    2) Would accessing the printer network directly allow me to print documents and browser pages from my iPad?
    3) Is there any other (perhaps even more simple!) way I can print from my iPad while connected to my Samsung Galaxy SII hotspot?
    Thanks!

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I would look into using "wireless direct" since most HotSpots can't act as servers.

  • How do I prevent my Samsung Galaxy S5 from checking my e-mail when I use a public Wi-Fi hotspot?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone, and would like to find out how to suppress the regular checking of e-mail when my phone connects via unencrypted Wi-Fi (in such places as libraries or restaurants).
When the phone was first set up in-store, there was a checkbox next to "sync email," which I checked.  (I can also access this checkbox via settings > manage accounts > (account name) > sync settings.)  Checking this box makes the phone retrieve e-mail from my ISP's mail server regularly.  But if I clear the checkbox, then the phone does not check e-mail at all, even when I open the Email app and touch the reload/refresh icon.
Is there a way either to:
check e-mail only on-demand (i.e. I must open the Email app and then, as an added layer of protection, touch "load more emails" or the refresh icon before it ever will authenticate with my ISP's mail server)
or, even better, check e-mail only when connected via WPA2-encrypted Wi-Fi or mobile data (LTE) but never send the password over the airwaves when I access a public Wi-Fi hotspot?

It would be nice if there was a user-configurable preference to allow certain network activities (such as logging into an IMAP or POP server) only when the connection is secure (as it is with WPA2 and, I assume with LTE mobile data) and not when a connection is wide-open.
There is a setting to "sync email," which I can uncheck, but unchecking that box seems to completely stop the e-mail app from retrieving messages, even when I refresh.  Is unchecking that box before connecting to the hotspot (and then checking it again when I get home) the best that I can do?  (If so, that is just as easy as not using the public Wi-Fi hotspot at all.)
Verizon's 1GB plan is affordable, and I use public Wi-Fi hotspots specifically to avoid overages.  I guess there is a trade-off between saving money and privacy, but there should still be a way to get the e-mail program only to access the network when I tell it to.

  • Verizon Customer Service and Samsung Galaxy S III

A little over 3 weeks ago I purchased a Samsung Galaxy III phone from Verizon.
    The exact store is:
    224 North Weber Road,
    Bolingbrook, IL 60440
    (630) 226-4660
When I purchased the phone the person who sold me the phone told me that I had 30 days, If I was not completely satisfied with the phone I could return it and get my money back.  However, he assured me that I would LOVE my new phone.
I had just come off using a Blackberry for 4 years with no problems AT ALL!  I loved that phone, but I thought it would be nice to get up to the 21st century phone standards and get a touch screen phone.  Well, I went for the best…… or so I thought.
As soon as I got my new phone in the car, I started using the speaker phone hands free.  The speakerphone began to cut in and out and the person, my husband whom I most speak with could not understand what I was saying.  I used the speakerphone on my Blackberry without issue.  I did not think much of it because I was so happy to have my new phone.  I thought maybe I was just in a bad area etc… Well the issue persisted also when I called my bank, my husband’s mother, my mother and it did not matter where I was the speaker phone did not work properly.  Then my phone started to drop calls.  Again, I thought it may have been the area, but it started happening a lot.  So now I was really beginning to wonder.  Having though I was still under the 30 DAY warranty, I gave it a few more days.  I began having to take out the battery to reset the unit because apps where disappearing and when I went to re-install them the unit indicated that app was already on my phone and wanted to know if I would like to uninstall the app.  I had to once again take out the battery and have the unit restart.  Well, I could not take it anymore.  With all of the things going wrong only a couple of weeks after purchase, I had to go into the store and see what they could do for me.  I went in and explained my situation to the manger who was greeting people at the door, I think her name was Katie or something like that.  She put me in line on her IPad just like everyone else for someone to assist me.  I was assigned to a very pleasant associate who took the battery out of my phone and said try this to see if this works for you.  I, not knowing very much about the technology said ok and walked out of the store.  Well it kept on getting worse.  I went back to the store on Sunday, September 30th 2012 asking for my money back or a new replacement for the phone.   They would not assist me. I started with a regular associate and went up the chain finally getting Katie (the store manager) who repeated everything that everyone else said.  So, obviously, she has no managerial skills at all.   She stated that they would have to totally reset my phone to see if some apps where conflicting etc.  Isn’t that what you purchase a Smartphone for??? To put apps on it and calendars etc.  I just downloaded a calendar and Xfinity because that is what I have my e-mail on.  I don’t’ think that was the issue, but you could not tell Katie anything.
I wanted a new phone replacement or money back as I spent $300.00 dollars on this phone.  She would not have it.  She said we have to go through the proper trouble shooting because I was out of the 14 day return policy!!!!.   OMGsh 14 days????  I was told 30!  Had I known this, I would have gotten my money back the first time I took the phone in for the issues I was having.  At that time, I was still under the 14 day policy!  I proceeded to express my opinion to everyone in the store stating “Don’t buy a Samsung Galaxy III” They are pieces of **bleep**. Well, needless to say Katie did not like that and she set my phone down in front of me and said, if I am going to swear, she is not going to help me.  Ok, then I re-worded my statement to tell everyone in the store “Don’t buy a Samsung Galaxy III they are pieces of garbage”  I cleaned it up a little, but still got my point across.  I also told her that I would blog about it and send a letter to the corporate office of both Samsung and Verizon.  I don’t think that she believed me, but here I am taking my time for this stuff.  Time I don’t have much of, but I feel very strongly about this situation.  I was lied to and Katie had the nerve to tell me that if I get a replacement phone from them, it would be a refurbished unit even though I just purchased the unit 3 weeks earlier.  THAT is unacceptable by any standards!!!
Needless to say I left the store totally dissatisfied with Verizon’s customer service and the Samsung Galaxy III phone.  I have not put any unusual apps on my phone nor have I downloaded a new calendar to my phone and I am still having the same issues with dropped calls and bad speaker phone.  I will not put any time into this phone for them to tell me they need to reset the whole darn thing again!  I am not going to bother going back to that Verizon store, because I know that they will not lift a finger to do anything about it.
My husband wants an IPhone 5.  We will not be purchasing this from Verizon and I will probably eat the cancellation fee and go through AT&T so that my husband can get his IPhone.  I will never purchase another thing from Verizon, this is not the first time that that they have let me down.
I hope that this letter, blog, facebook, YouTube note will open some eyes with regard to Verizon customer service and the Samsung Galaxy III phone.  I don’t know if it will, but with social media as it is, I hope it DOES!
    Thanks for nothing Verizon!!!
    Sincerely
    Donna {edited for privacy}
