Is my SAP using J2EE engine?

Hi Experts,
Any idea how to tell for sure if J2EE is installed in addition to Abap stack?
Regards,
Ernesta

Take a look at this "link" on your installation.
http://<yourhost>.<yourdomain>:<yourport>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo.
and you will get a very useful overview of your installation.
Under the list of software components you should see SAP-JEE.
Hope this gave you some useful information.

  • R/3 4.6C  to SAP WAS J2EE engine

    Hi,
I am new ABAP Programming and more into J2EE. I would like to know different approachs available to communicate or send data from ABAP to J2EE engine/Web Applicaiton asynchronously.
I am looking for SAP WAS 6.40
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
J2EE Applications communicate with the R/3 System by means of making a Remote Function Call (RFC) to access the required BAPI. By passing input parameters, output is obtained from the BAPI. While making RFC calls, the R/3 system credentials like username, pwd, client needs to be given. JCO (Java Connector) establishes the link between the application and R/3 system and is configured in the Enterprise Portal.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error While Using J2EE Engine

    Hi all,
We have recently restarted our CRM Server and when we were trying to Start the J2EE Engine (version 6.2) server the following error is being displayed on the console after loading service manager.
ID000539: Classload error; Can't load service telnet because referenced service
    shell not found
Can someone help me in resolving this error.
    Thanks and regards,
    vijaya sai.v

    Hello Vijayasai,
I cannot tell you why the shell service cannot be found as I need to have a look at the logs and even at the system. Most probably some manual changes were done, which cause these inconsistencies. I would suggest you to report a customer message.
As for the other error, it is most probably caused by the fact that the native parts of the jco library are not found in the path/library path. As it is a CRM installation I think that the J2ee Engine is started from the R3 server. Have you changed the go script of the dispatcher? Usually it changes the path/library path so that the required libraries are loaded by default. The j2ee dispatcher starts the server node as its child process and it inherits its environment. Again this is just a suggestion as in order to investigate the problem I would need to have a look at the logs.

  • Error in Accessign mySAP ERP from SAP WAS J2ee Engine

    Hi all,
I have installed some applications on SAP WAS Java System SP17. When i am trying to access the mySAP ERP system from that Application, it is giving the following error
    >(103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: System received an expired SSO ticket
My ERP and WAS are on different Windows Domains. I have SSO and  done the trust configurations and imported the Certificate on to mySAP ERP. I also increased the Lifetime of the SAP Logon ticket, but that also didnt work. In one of the documents i found that both the systems need to be in the same OS time.
    1. How can i bring my ERP server and WAS on to same OS time?
(net time/set   does not work since these machines are in different domains)
Or is there some other solution to this problem,Please help me
    regards
    deepu

    Hi Deepu,
as long as the timezones are maintained correctly, the time DISPLAYED may be different, again it is GMT, which is required to be in sync. Looking at IST, do you mean Indian, Israelien or Irelend stadnard time ? (see <a href="http://www.timegenie.com/timezones.php">a list of timezones</a> for details). In any case, 4 hours seams odd to me, should be either
    India: 4:30 hour
    Ireland: 1 hour
    Israel: 1 hour
can you please make sure, your systems are synced to GMT somehow, for instance using timeservices ?
From your name, I would guess you might sit in India, in which case at least one of your system is misconfigured (timewise) if they are 4 hours away.
Countries today 4 hours away from CET would either be
<a href="http://www.worldtimezone.com/utc/utc+0500.html">russia, pakistan and some more</a> or <a href="http://www.worldtimezone.com/utc/utc-0300.html">some countries in south america</a> (this changes over time

  • How to hide system related info (J2EE Engine, JVM, OS) from View Source

    Hi Experts,
We are developing an external facing webdynpro application for our customers. When i  right click on webdynpro application in browser and select View Source , it is showing all system specific information such as  DC names including model DC , JVM , System OS information (below is  exact details).
I believe this  will give enough information for Hackers to know about system with out much efforts. Is there any we can avoid showing this information part of browser view source.

    Hi Armin,
I have the same behavior here. Prod is showing all this info. I assume this is some variable that we need to setup in Prod J2EE. Could you please tell me what is it?
Also, would that change the stack trace? - Currently, we have WDP dumps in Prod, something that I would get rid off (and have just a 500 error page defined).
    Thanks,
    Daniel

  • How to use the activation library on SAP J2EE Engine

    Hi my friends:
This post is referent to a note and their solution, but the solution is not clearly:
    Symptom:
One wants to use the activation library provided together with the j2ee engine from an own library.
    Reason and Prerequisites:
One wants to use the activation library from an own library but a ClassNotFound Exception or a NoClassDefFoundError keeps showing up.
    Solution:
    For J2EE Engine 6.30/6.40:
To avoid the above mentioned exceptions one has to specify circular references between the activation library and the specific resource. When the engine's classloading system sees such references it creates a common loader for these resources and avoids the issue.
Some one knows how to do circular references in my program????,
i can use web applications or web dynpro with SAP Developer Studio Kit.

  • Starting and stoping SAP J2EE engine without using SAPMMC

    Hi All,
How can we start SAP J2EE engine without using SAPMMC.
My SAP J2EE version is 6.40.
    Kindly, help.
    Regards,
    Devender V

    hi Devender,
    if your SID = J01 system no# 00, host = hostabc
open a command prompt,..cd to this exe folder... (/usr/sap/J01/SYS/exe) just cross check if startsap existing or not.
    then run
    startsap.exe name=J01 nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=hostabc
if the PATH env variable already has a value C:\usr\sap\J01\SYS\exe then you may directly run the command from any folder.. no need to specifically go to the exe folder.
(if you need help how to set env variable in windows, http://www.cs.usask.ca/~wew036/latex/env.html)

    Hi Tim,
I have configured using Kerberos library for 32 bit on Net Weaver 7.0 with MS SQL 2005 Server on Windows 2003 Server. I didnt change any thing on JAVA side. I have configured as per the Kerberos configuration steps  as per below URL
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/44/0ebf6c9b2b0d1ae10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
The configuration was successful and I am able to login with out asking password, but After the configuration when I have restarted every thing on ABAP side works well but JAVA server process going down with EXIT code -11113. One of the log file contains follows error message.

One of the line says "SNC required for this connection". What does this mean? What else need to be done for JAVA to communicate with ABAP?
    Thanks,

  • SAP J2EE Engine JTA Transaction Xml for table TABLE could not be ana

I'm having a weird case. I created 3 entity bean. In my R/3 will call this JCO.Function to do the insert to database. But out of 3 entity bean, only 1 entity bean got error where it unable to insert to database and have this error in the log.
The case is quite weird where i created the same entity but only 1 entity is not working as expected. Wondering what cause this problem.
    Thanks.

    Hi Stefan and Everyone,
I have solved my problem. Just want to let everyone know if u have to install the SP's for WEB AS 6.30/6.40.
You start from the installation from CD 6.30/6.40. Everything will be working at this point. You can login to Visual Admin, Config tool and SDM.
Before you apply any SP's, do the following:
    a) Create an emergency user with the Administrator rights: Ref OSS Note:669848
Try to follow this route for SP's:
    From CD 6.30/6.40 -> SP04 -> SP07
Apply SP04 first before applying SP07 (Recommended Approach).
Refer the installation guide: SAP Web AS Support Package Guide 630SP2 to 640SP4.
Use JDK1.4.2_05 to install SP04. You must reference the following OSS Notes and apply to your system accordingly, this is the key to an error free installation:
    a) OSS Note: 697535
    b) OSS Note: 709140
    c) OSS Note: 716604
    d) OSS Note: 706378
You have to be really careful with SP04 installation, because it changes the version from 6.30 -> 6.40.
Once you are able to install SP04 without any problems, you can directly apply SP07 or the highest 6.40 SP.
    Kind Regards,
    Buddha.

  • Time out error on deploying to SAP-J2EE engine.

I got a problem while deploying to SAP-J2EE engine using ant. It takes a lot of time and then throws a time out error.
The problem is with the web.xml file pointing to a DTD in the internet, I have pasted some part of the web.xml below,
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app
      PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.2//EN"
    <web-app>
        <display-name>MyPay</display-name>
        <description>MyPay</description>
Once I write down the DTD description in the web.xml itself, it works fine.
I have pasted the error trace below,
    j2eedeploy:
         [echo] Deploying to Local environment...
         [echo] C:\Java\Projects/MyPay/dist/MyPay.ear

    Thanks for your reply Kalyan,
The problem seems to be with my system, because I had run the same ant script in another system and it deployed successfully.
The problem does not seem to be with the dtd, whereas it seems that the SAP-J2EE engine is not able to open the link to the dtd giving a time out error.
Is it possible to switch off the validation process of the SAP-J2EE engine of an xml with the dtd?

  • Issue in Communication of SAP R/3 6.4C with SAP J2EE Engine 6.40.

    Hello,
We have an application deployed in SAP J2EE engine 6.20. From SAP R3 (SAP R/3 version is 6.4C), We are communicating to the application deployed in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 using RFC protocol. EJB module (Deployed in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20) which is being invoked from a Function Module using RFC protocol has the same name as the Function Module name. We were able to communicate to SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 this way.
Currently, I have deployed the same application in SAP J2EE Engine 6.40. I have followed the same procedure which i have used while depolying and working with SAP J2EE Engine 6.20. But, it is not working, and i was not able to communicate to SAP J2EE 6.40, the same way i did in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20.
Please let me know whether the procedure for communicating to SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 has changed in comparison with SAP J2EE Engine 6.20.
Also,Any pointers regarding RFC and JCO implementation in SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 willl be helpful.
    Thank you.

    -Shabir Rahim.
