Is the Goto Statement in Debugging a security risk?

Hi,
In debugging ABAP code we have the option to jump to a certain statement via the GOTO STATEMENT from the menu.
Is there any security risk in doing this.
It is now controlled in the 02 Activity of the authorization object, which was formerly only used for changing values with the debugger.

It is often misunderstood as forward and backward navigation instead of stepping in the debugger and always checked actvt 02 - but in earlier releases was not as obvious to find and did not write a system log message. You can now also right-click the location to GOTO.
But it is just as dangerous if not more so that changing a variable in the debugger and more than just display. Reason is that between the current code line and the code line "jumped to", the code in between is not executed at all...
So you can jump over authority-checks instead of having to change the sy-subrc result. Changes can be made without the calls to change documents and logs being made. All other forms of validations or checks can be jumped over, including statements which were created not to be able to debug them (such as kernel calls) then you don't need to be able to change anything in the debugger if you can steer wide of it.
It is functionally equivalent to being able to create a program and execute it, regardless of your other authorizations, developer key or even if the system is closed for changes.
So... very naughty. Only for developers in development systems and even in emergency situations it should not really be used in production either.

would like to know because when I debug this:
after first GOTO statement (ADD_DATA_T1), it immediately goes to the next goto (ADD_DATA_T2). It is still suppose to go back and select id from table1 before going to the next goto.
If this is not allowed, then can you please tell me how to call a block of code so I will not be writing the same insert statement in another lines.
Im sorry if this is stupid, but Im just learning pl/sql now.

Hi,
Here's the most important thing to learn about GOTO: Don't use it.
Invest your time in learning other things about PL/SQL; things that you will actually use later.
I've been using Oracle for over 20 years. I have never even been tempted to use GOTO, and I have never seen any serious code that used GOTO. The only places I have seen GOTO used in PL/SQL are in textbooks and in forums like this.
I'm not sure what the code you posted is supposed to be doing.
To make it easier to talk about that code, add calls to put_line everywhere:

Error executing a stored procedure from SSIS using the MERGE statement between databases

Good morning,
I'm trying to execute from SSIS a stored procedure that compares the content of two tables on different databases in the same server and updates one of them. To perform this action, I've created a stored procedure in the destination database and I'm
comparing the data between tables with the MERGE statement. When I execute the procedure on the destination database the error that I obtain is:
"Msg 916, Level 14, State 1, Procedure RefreshDestinationTable, Line 13
The server principal "XXXX" is not able to access the database "XXXX" under the current security context."
Some things to take in account:
1. I've created a temporary table on the same destination database to check if the problem was on the MERGE statement and it works fine.
2. I've created the procedure with the option "WITH EXECUTE AS DBO".
I've read that it can be a problem of permissions but I don't know if I'm executing the procedure from SSIS to which user/login I should give permissions and which.
Could you give me some tip to continue investigating how to solve the problem?

Your email provider has blocked the standard mail port 25 for sending emails and is requiring a different port. This is to avoid mail relays that use mail clients to send spam. You need to find the port that is used by your provider for sending outgoing mail. Then change the settings in your email account on your phone to match the port. You will also have to provide some security credentials for the account.
You can also try deleting the email account from your iphone, and the adding the email account back as this will many times set the correct port for sending emails.
You could also do a Google search on the the settings for your device with your email provider. That will provide you with the proper settings.

How to get Java source in applet stack trace to debug Java security manager

How can I get line numbers for Java source in stack traces for my applet? I'm having a problem with my code-signing certificate. On one of my applets, I consistently get a NullPointerException inside the security dialog code in the JDK. As a result, either the "trust this applet" dialog never appears, or even though it appears, it defaults to untrusted because of the exception, so I can't access any local files (and that's a bit of a problem for an applet whose sole purpose is to upload files to our server). I unzipped src.zip in my JDK directory and set the debug flag for my Ant <javac> task as well as set debuglevel to "lines." Anything else? Here's the trace that I'm getting so far. See that after the NullPointerException it assumes that the user has denied permission. If I could read this Java source maybe I could figure out why it hates my code-signing certificate (jarsigner, BTW, never complains when I verify my jar).

Rats, now that I look at the stack trace and compare to what's in the JDK srce.zip, it appears that most of this code is not part of the JDK source. I don't see any com/sun/deploy, etc.

Why do the visited states of my hyperlinks don't work?

I have been trying for days and I can't figure it out with tutorials, teachers, google search and trail and error.
My hyperlinks will NOT show a visited state. I set up hyperlink styles, I named them, I applied them to the different text links in my copy and roll over works fine, they link as they are supposed to, but I can't get the visited state to appear. When I return back to the page, they are still all black.
Since this is for a end of the semester project and my entire project kinda builds on these states to work, without the visited states, the "map/timeline" I have created will not make any sense.
Is the anybody that knows what I am doing wrong and can give me a hint on what I should try?

I understood that the styles can only be appied to text, that is why I used actual text bullets (found in most fonts) that are type and not an image. Therefore I thought that the link styles should apply to them just like any other text would be.
By now I have tried applying the style to the text frame,... to the selected character itself,...I have tried in different orders in which I first applied the link, then the style, or first the style and then the link - I have tried it with deselecting in between and keeping it selected through out...I have used regular text, letters and numbers, I have even created an entirely new file without any editing to see if my file might have problems. Nothing changed the fact that the visited link did not change the color. I understand the security issues you have mentioned before, but just for an example, reddit is still using the visited state. There has got to be a way, just not one I will be able to find before I have to have this done.
Anyway, I certainly appreciate your feedback and I am looking forward in using Muse in the future. Even though it has quiet a few limitations, since this is just the beginning, there is a lot of promise for the future.

...is there a dimension limit to how long I can make a horizontally scrollable webpage? For the ipad the image resolution is pretty big and so lining up 8-9 full background images back-to-back next to each other makes for a huge file. I tried it and started to have some issues with jumping text boxes. Could that be because of the file size?
Can I use page anchors to link from child pages back to a certain spot on the main "home", or are anchor points just for the navigation within one contained long page?

How do I return my MB Pro to it's "out of the box" state?

I have a MB Pro 15". I just got a new one yesterday, and my new co-worker will be getting this one. There is nothing we need to keep, so a backup won't be necessary. How do I go about deleting/reseting everything to it's original out-of-the box state, and make his the new admin, etc?

Start up from your install disc, go to Disk Utility and select the disk and click erase - to securely erase data click Security Options and Erase Free Space which will entirely wipe your disk, overwriting it with zeros so that no data is recoverable.

The update operation is not allowed in the current state of the request

When users have logged a request through the service manager 2012 portal and they go back in to add user input they sometimes receive a message that says " The update operation is not allowed in the current state of the request." The state of the
request has not changed it is still Active and has not breached its service level .
I can't seem to find any information about this error and don't know how to troubleshoot it. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

ok, so they're adding user comments after creating the service request. looks like this:
the first thing to check is that the user is added to the default, un-scoped "End User" security role, or the custom end user security role they are added to has a scope that includes all work items. The "user input" field adds a user comment related
to the SR, so the ability to create user comments is required to use this field.

I have tried to access the server share DP from the primary server by using my user
credential. Yes I can able to access the share.

Adding an "IMAQ Image.ctl" to the "Display State.ctl" of an XControl prevents LabVIEW from creating a probe of "Display State.ctl"

I am working on an extended IMAQ Display control using LabVIEWs XControl capabilities.
I need a copy of the original image passed to add some overlays which must not affect the original image. To achieve this I am creating a backup image in the "Init.vi" and deleting it in the "Uninit.vi". I am storing the reference of this image in the "Display State.ctl" which is part of every XControl.
As soon as I am adding an "IMAQ Image.ctl" to the Display State cluster, it is no longer possible to generate a probe of the Display State cluster for debugging purposses. I am always getting the message: "Failed to load or create probe."
Deleting the "IMAQ Image.ctl" from the cluster makes the probe working again.
Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?
I am working with LabVIEW 8.5 and Vision 8.5.

Just like wjosten said, Change the Password for your AppleID.
Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in.
Click on Security and Password. It'll ask you two security questions that you orginal answered.
On the next page is where you can change the password, change it.
Now go to icloud.com and sign in, with the new password of course.
Go to Find My iPhone. Click on the iPhone 5s, even if it's off line.
Click on Lost Mode and enter a new 4 digit password. One that they won't be able to guess.
Now it's a paper weight.
