Is their way to re-write the if statement

hi want to re-write the IF statemet in following pl/sql block
set serveroutput on
declare
v_empno emp.empno%type:=7839;
v_sal emp.sal%type;
v_mgr emp.mgr%type;
begin
select sal,comm into v_sal,v_mgr from emp where empno=v_empno;
if v_sal is null then
dbms_output.put_line('sal not found');
else
dbms_output.put_line(v_sal);
end if;
if v_mgr is null then
dbms_output.put_line('mgr not found');
else
dbms_output.put_line(v_sal);
end if;
exception
when others then
dbms_output.put_line('empno not found');
end;

If you want to use ELSIF, then you should have three control statement. In your example, you have two. YES or NO
You should change it in this way:
   IF v_sal IS NULL
   THEN
      DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('sal not found');
   ELSIF v_sal IS NOT NULL AND v_sal > 1000
   THEN
      DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('Salary is more than 1000');
   ELSIF v_sal IS NOT NULL AND v_sal < 1000
   THEN
      DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line ('Salary is less than 1000');
   END IF;- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
