Is there a latest browser that works on Snow Leapard?

Is there a latest browser that works on Snow Leapard? I hate that firefox, google chrome are out of date. Is safari out of date? Ty

I use FF & I don't go through all that trouble getting to websites through links.  All I do is bookmark the site & add it to my tool bar.  All I do is click the icon(s) on the tool bar.
These are the ones I have for this website:

    Re: Flash player for Ipad
Aug 14, 2011 2:22 AM (in response to phaisto)
Folks, here's the sad truth, according to Engadget:
"After nearly 4 years of the iOS platform, Adobe is still having difficulty being able to get Flash Player on Apple’s mobile platform. Many sided with Adobe on this one a couple of years ago calling this exclusion unreasonable, but the latest failures for Android Honeycomb to deliver decent Flash performance justifies Apple's decision. Even the Frash hacks bogged down the 1st generation iPad and the PlayBook had problems bring Flash to their Blackberry Tablet."
Some months ago, before I really researched this issue, I was determined to "get around Steve Jobs obvious hidden personal and business greed agendas" and run Flash on a tablet. So I bought an ASUS Transformer Tablet just to be able to run flash (a $400 "app")! OK, just a wee bit over the top. But, I can now personally testify to the surprisingly disappointing performance of Flash on Android.
Based on that confirmation, and on numerous reports from those running Flash on jailbroken iPads, either Adobe has lost all of it top notch programmers to Google, Facebook, -- and likely even Apple! -- or it never has been serious about porting Flash to iOS (I suppose this could have been intentional, thinking that the absence of Flash would do serious harm to the platform once folks found out).
But whatever. I am finally over my Flash of "brilliance" and resigned to just skip over the web sites that require Flash, and wait till I am at my iMac or PC to do those that are really necessary. And, despite that the ASUS Tablet does technically run Flash, it does it so poorly that I preferred to use my Mac or PC.
I gave the minty new ASUS Tablet which is otherwise a nicely done, but still "work in progress" (unlike my Android phone) to my med school daughter. She loves it -- and now calls me all the time to talk, usually about how to get stuff to work on it (but any excuse to talk to her is good by me ;-).

  • Are there other internet browsers that work well displaying websites with a lot of Flash content?

Other than the browser that came on the Samsung Droid Charge....
Are there other internet browsers that work well displaying websites with a lot of Flash content?
    Thanks in advance!

I use Dolphin Browser 6.0. Its faster than 5.0 and has no issues with Flash.  I have used flash and used the Beta 6.0 and now the actual released version. Its the best so far. It has tabs like a normal computer browser and even has a gesture feature to do scrolling.
Others are Firefox which has NO flash. Then there is SkyFire which is ok, uses its servers to compress data and show it on your phone, its quick but I found the quality of images not as good as stock.
Opera Mobile and Mini do the same as skyfire.
I personally just didnt care for Xscope of Miren browsers.  Didnt care for the feel of Xscope and Miren was developed in China and is modeled after Iphone Browser.
Try em all if you want, biggest benefit of the aftermarket browser is you can sync certain accounts (dolphin with google, firefox with firefox) and instead of storing the Cache info using phone memory you can now save the data and the web browser on the SD card.

Then ask him. You already know where to find him.

  • Firefox the only browser that works?

I'm having a really strange problem...
Since maybe a couple weeks ago Firefox is the only browser that works for me. Other browsers can't seem to connect to ANY website. I've tried Safari and Opera... they don't work.
    I have:
    tried several different wifi signals
    reinstalled Safari, Opera, and Firefox
reinstalled OS X (archive and install)
    repaired disk permissions
No matter what I do, Firefox is the only thing that works

That's not a particularly good thing. Browsers should NEVER ignore system wide proxy settings. They need to change that.
    Firefox has 3 Proxy modes:
    a) No proxy
    b) Auto-detect proxy settings for this network
    c) Manual proxy configuration
    The default is "No proxy"
If you select "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network", Firefox will use the Network proxy setting.

  • IS THERE A BROWSER THAT WORKS PROPERLY ON 0S9

I have OS 9.0.4 on an iMac G3 400MHz 64MB RAM and have only just discovered using the internet is impossible because the Internet Explorer browser 5 is so outdated.
Web sites don't load, perhaps load and only partly work and anything takes ages to load and the computer is forever freezing. Basically using the internet is impossible and email unreliable because the Internet Explorer browser 5 is so old.
All the browsers - Safari - for instance need OSX and I cannot have OSX without increasing memory.
The only solution seems to be buying a new Mac for about £800 because upgrading my six year old iMac is uneconomical and increasing RAM memory is the only way I can use a browser that actually allows proper use of the internet.
Am I right ? Or is there a browser out there that I can use on OS9 that will allow me to use the full functionality of the internet ?
Or is this a lost cause and I must buy a new computer, even thought I do not posesss a brass farthing to buy one with. That means I cannot possibly afford one because I have absolutely no money. But I need one to work.

    rocket123, welcome to Apple Discussions
I switched to Mozilla for OS 9 & like it better than IE. It works on web pages that IE has problems with. Plus, Mozilla has a pop-up ad blocker & a password manager. Download Wamcom's Mozilla browser at:
    http://wamcom.org/latest-131/
iCab is also a good browser for OS 9. Look at Mac Web Browsers, Present and Past
    http://darrel.knutson.com/mac/www/browsers.html
Most browsers run better if you increase the browser's Preferred memory to 2X - 3X the Suggested size. See Mac OS: Assigning more memory to an application program
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=18278 Since you only have 64MB of RAM, make sure your Virtual Memory is turned On.
You should also upgrade your OS to at least 9.1. OS 9.0.4 is not too stable. The upgrade is a free download on Apple's site. You will also get better performance if you increase your RAM to at least 128MB, preferably more.

  • Intel Browser that works with Yahoo Videos

has anyone have an idea of a browser that might work with the Yahoo video services? eg: "launch.com".

    Perhaps try these settings:
How do I configure Firefox to view news video?
First, since the Yahoo! News Video Player appears in a pop-up window, you'll need to allow Yahoo! to open pop-ups from your browser.
Note: Yahoo! and Yahoo! News do not use pop-up advertising of any kind, so the only windows you see will be content windows selected by you, such as video.
Follow these steps to enable pop-ups from Yahoo!:
    1. Open Firefox.
    2. Click "Firefox/Preferences..."
    3. In the newly opened window, select "Content".
    4. Make sure there's a check next to "Block Pop-Up Windows," so you can continue to block pop-up ads.
    5. Click the "Allowed Sites" button. Here, you can specify which web sites will be allowed to open pop-up windows from your browser.
    6. In the Address of Web Site field, enter: http://news.yahoo.com
    (and/or http://video.yahoo.com/?fr=news1)
    7. Click "Allow," then close the window.
    8. Close the main Preferences window.
You should now be able to view video from Yahoo! News and/or Yahoo Video.
You also may need to configure JavaScript to view news video. Follow these steps:
    1. Click "Firefox/Preferences..."
    2. Select "Content"
    3. Make sure that "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript" are both checked. If they're not, check them both.
    5. Close the main Preferences window.

  • Is there a Battery Doctor that works for iPad2?

I've tried two different "Battery Doctor" apps for my iPad 2 (iOS 6.1.3).  One free app from Chine (web site is in Chinese, so I can't read it for support), one from RTF Technologies ($3.00).   The problem is that neither one will register that a full charge cycle has occurred on my iPad2.  I've done it by the book numerous times (power down to <15%, plug in with the 'Doc' running).  All it registers is that I performed a "Normal" charge.  Is this a problem with the iPad2, or is there a reliable Battery Doctor out there someone can clue me int to?
The Chinese Battery Doctor does work on my iPhone 5, if that helps.
    Mike

I searched in iTunes Store for iPad apps with "battery" in the search and these were two of many.  So now I'm wondering if anyone out there has a battery doctor that works well (completely) for iPad 2, in that it registers every full charge you perform.

  • HT1414 is there a ios downgrade that works for the 4s?

is there a downgrade that works for the iphone 4s from ios 6 to 5.1.1

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.
