Is there a tool or way I can find out who has Acrobat on our network and what version they are running? How do you streamline Acrobat so everyone has the same version?

We have been buying licences per person, per computer for many years. There has to be a better way to deploy, keep inventory and track user licences. Any suggestions appreciated!

Somewhere away back when I heard that by knowing the serial number the details of the service record on the given mac could be found. However in those days I only bought new. These days with mac's inability to run applications that require the for real OS 9 ( not classic ) I have to scour the used market. I have some high end audio midi programmes ( for example emagic, cubase VST score ) that do the job and sometimes better then then the OS X versions.

If you went without an appointment, then it would make sense that you could be turned away.

I am just wondering if there is a way i can find out what web pages sites or other searches were looked at while using the private browsing?

In private browsing mode, no details of sites that were visited are saved, neither are details of searches saved by Firefox.

Updated to iMovie version 10.0 Opened it. All my clips and projects were there. Then it crashed. Now no clips no projects. If I try and import them they are dimmed. If I try and 'update projects and events' a dialogue box says no files found.

The reply from Nerval fixed it. It is very simple and it works.
If you have a lot of Projects and Events, leave the iMovie running for a long time. I had 160G and it took 4hrs. It is doing it in the background so don't shutdown too quick.

To examine the conversion settings in Acrobat, do the following:
1. Select Edit > Preferences
2. In the preferences dialog, select the "Convert From PDF" category.
3. In the "Converting From PDF" list, select "Excel workbook".
4. Click the "Edit Settings" button to view your conversion settings.

Any way I can find out which router I will receive?

I just signed up for FIOS and I don't recall seeing anywhere in the process which router I would be receiving. I found a page on Verizon's site that said depending on when I got the router, it would either be a D-link, the actiontec (or a verizon-branded version of 1), or the 9100em, but it doesn't give a clue as to which one to expect if I just placed an order.
Any idea how I can find out?

My understanding is Vz is using the the Westell router for West customers and Actiontec for east customers.

Is it possible to use PowerShell you find out who opened a certain document in a library in a users MySite? Or can I interrogate the audit logs?
I also have Harepoint installed, but I don't know if this works to a MySite document level?

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing - the app is for tracking an iOS device from another iOS device - then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled). Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Note, though, that you'll only get the location of the WiFi router to which the iPod is connected; there's no way to pinpoint the exact location of the iPod itself.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Notify the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

With the device locked, unless the owner puts it into Lost mode and enters a number for someone to call, there is no way to do it. Attempts to try and enter a passcode will result in the device becoming disabled. Turn the device into law enforcement in the jurisdiction where you found it. If it was reported lost or stolen, they should be able to find the owner.

You can't. All you can do is change the password to deny future access.
Are you sure the email is legitimate? There have been numerous reports recently of forged emails like this trying to get people to click a link and disclose thier iCloud credentials. Is there any simple way I can find out whether my router or my mac air is responsible for dropping internet connection constantly? Often when I do the network diagnostic, the wifi light is green, but isp internet and server are either amber or red.

This is driving me crazy. The router (it came with the apartment) is a Fritz!Box fon Wlan 7240. I would be willing to buy an new airport if that would fix it. But in this country (Germany) you probably can't give things back.

Do you have the instruction manual for your router? I ask because at some point it might be a good idea to reset the router. Turning it off for about 15 seconds then turning it back on helps sometimes. The more basic procedure (this is with my router) is to push the reset. But that would mean you have to re-configure the router with password etc. from scratch.
