Is there a way I get can my Dell V305 printer to work with my Mac?

I "inherited" my son's Mac Book Pro but when I tried to hook it up to our printer, Dell V305, it wouldn't work. I tried downloading the software from the Dell site, since we don't have the disks, but it wouldn't work. Is there a way I can get our printer to work with the Mac?

I would start by contacting Dell's tech support to determine if the printer is compatible. They may then be able to suggest what printer driver to use on the Mac.

We are talking about that Nike device. We have a iPod Classic (software version 2.0.1) and an iPod touch (iOS 4.2.1, an earlier model....maybe 3 years ago). When we plug in into the classic it says "the accessory is not supported) and when we plug it into the touch it says "no receiver required," but neither will load the nike+ running app. I believe it said that our iPod was incompatible with this app. Is there something we need to do to make it compatible? Get an updated operating system or a different app? That has also happened with a few other apps. Thanks!

I can't get my Kodak Wi-fi printer to work with my Mac

Hi there, I've just taken delivery of my new iMac and loving every minute! However I can't get it to work with my Kodak ESP 3.2 Wi-Fi printer. When I try to set it up, it recognises the printer but doesn't have the drivers available in its list. When I download the (apparently correct) drivers from the Kodak site, they wont load on to my machine. Do I need to buy another printer? - this one is only 6 months old!!

If you are there now, there is nothing you can do. Before going you should have talked with Verizon, they have international service programs they can activate, but it has to be before going.

No, you must install Windows to run Windows software. You do not need to use Boot Camp (yes, it's free because it comes with OS X.)

Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.

Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. I don't see a 4500 HP printer on the list of AirPrint printers, so you will most likely need an alternate way to print to it.
One way is to use an iPad App such as Print n Share. It has its own browser, mail, photo and text programs that can print to some non-AirPrint printers. I don't know if it can print from within other iPad Apps.
Another way is to use a computer to share the printer as AirPrint over WiFi, using a program like Printopia for the Macintosh. For a free solution, search the web for AirPrint Activator.
I recommend you try the free iPad App, HP iPrint Photo.

The terms and conditions you agreed to when you bought a license to use Logic Pro X from the App Store do not allow/provide for refunds under such circumstances. Please note the part about you puchasing a license to use Logic Pro X. This is also why you cannot sell Logic Pro X to another person.... because you didn't buy and own Logic Pro X in the first place... but instead you bought a license to use it... and so you cannot sell it or transfer those rights to another person.
Now, depending on when you bought your license... you could contact Apple themselves and plead your case...For example, if you bought it by mistake a couple of days ago... and didn't intend to do so... Apple will normally refund your costs... but based on past examples.. if you 'bought' Logic Pro X more than a week ago, you aren't going to get a refund simply because you are "not happy with it".
Bear in mind at all times you are not entitled to a refund because of the terms and conditions under which you purchased the license in the first place... and so Apple don't have to do anything if they choose not to do so.

I would think you'd just need to select the Adobe Application you're using... whichever that one is, then the APP would know what to do with RAW.

Hi all!
I am the proud owner of the system below but there is a 'music' I hate every morning: the booting beeps from the USB devices connected to the USB ports in my rig. Should I unplug them, the 'beep, boop, beep, beep, beep, boop' go away. My question for those of you in the know: is there a way, in the BIOS or wherever, to take away those 'irritating' beeps and boops? I presume they are not 'post messages' as they stop showing up when unplugging the devices and booting again.

I've gone through all the maintenance steps to update my driver and check internal printer problems and I get good test prints from the tests but noting will print from mail or Safari. Can a Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 work with a Mac Mini running OS X Lion?

Because mine doesn't. I have downloaded MaCam and Sonix drivers. None of them worked. Although I did manage to get a green light on the cam (which means power if nothing else) while playing with this issue. I also did manage to get a weird image of myself but when I brought up the cam controls nothing I slid or clicked changed anything. I do not know which driver was controlling the cam because I had a few of them installed at the same time. I know.... I know... not very smart or helpful. I am just switching from PC to Mac. I can fix tons of things myself on a PC... but I'm not doing as well with this Mac... yet.
It seems to me that there are a lot more options for fixing things with a PC than there are with a Mac. It also seems that everything is much more expensive with a Mac than with a PC. And lastly, it seems that Macs are quite touchy about what they will willingly "play" with. I switched because I have heard so many great things about Macs, and because I wanted to experience them. I was excited to do so, now I'm not so sure I made the right move here.
The pros are that overall? When it works... it works awesome. Right? I mean, that is why Mac lovers love their Macs. Right? So why such a hard time getting various components gooing? I'm also having issues with a headset/mic combination and with migrating from my PC to my Mini, but I will save those for later postings and concentrate this one on the two issues I have already mentioned above. One being the LifeCam and the other being why is it so difficult to resolve issues with Macs. I only mention these last two issues to verify just how touchy this Mac Mini is.

For some reason every time I start Firefox I get a window to print the current page. Am I the only one this happens to? Is there any way to get rid of it? It just started with the previous update.

When I start Firefox, the standard print window comes up as if I had clicked on print under the file menu. I close the window without problems, and it doesn't show up again until the next time I start Firefox. When I click on print under the file menu, I get the print window without any problems.
