Is there a way of Modifying OptionsList Table

Hello,
I am trying to create a metadata field that uses optionlist. Some of the values are longer than 50 varchars, so I wanted to know if there was a way to override the 50 varchars in the OptionsList table. When I try to go to the Configuration Manager and edit the OptionsList table. After allowing me to change the values and clicking ok, I am getting a message saying 'Unable to alter OptionsList table, OptionsList is a system database table'
Is there another way of fixing this problem? Thank in advance for any help.

Hi
One way of doing this would be to go to DB and from there modify the length of the column of the table. Also you may have to change the datatype to one that can accommodates such long field lengths.
Alternately create a view on the table that you are going to change and then start tampering with the data on the view.
Thanks

  • Is there a way to create a table of contents listing the order of tabs(sheets) in a Numbers document?

I am planning my wedding and I have this huge Numbers document with 20+ tabs and I have plans to add many more tabs. Is there a way to create a table that has two columns: column 1= order that a tab appears, column 2=tab name? For example, my first three tabs are called Venues, Must Haves, and To Do List (in this order. I'd want this table of contents to be in the first sheet of the document, so it would be like sheet 1. Then I 'd want like the cells of column 1 to be like 2, 3, 4 (2nd, 3rd, 4th sheet in the document), and then the cells of column 2 to say Venues, Must Haves, and To Do List. I can make a tiny table of one cell in each sheet that I copied the name of the sheet and then do like a cell reference for column 2, but I'm having trouble w column 1.

There is no referential value for the order of the sheets, just the sheet name. Only two things I can think of to suggest:
Do the same thing for the first column that you do with the second (i.e. put a referential column in the same table as the Name and point to that).
Seriously consider using a word processor program. Numbers is probably the wrong tool.

  • Is there a way to create "temporary" tables in SAP database?

    Hello,
Is there a way to create temporary tables in ABAP?
    Here is our scenario:
    1. Invoke a custom RFC that creates a temporary table and returns the name of the table.
    2. Invoke another custom RFC and pass this table name as parameter. This RFC internally does some INNER JOIN with the temporary table.
    3. Invoke the third RFC to delete the temporary table.
Note that the name of the table cannot be static. We have many users using our application simultaneously and connecting to the SAP server.
I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I just ran into a similar issue.  While only calling the select statement 2 times, each time had so many entries in the 'for all entries' list, that the compiler converted this into about 700 calls to the select.  Now since the select joined three real tables on the database, the trace shows this one select as being the slowest item in this application.
I think that happened because 'for all entries' gets converted to an 'IN' clause, and then the total number of characters in any SQL statement has an upper limit.   So the compiler must make the select statement over and over until it covers all entries in the 'for all entries' list.  Is that correct?
Since every database I ever saw has the concept of db temporary tables, I have used db temp tables many times for this sort of thing.
The ABAP compiler could determine that more than one IN statement will be need, then use an alternate: write all the FOR ALL ENTRIES to a db temp table, then join on the db temp table, then drop db temp table.  Since the compiler does this sort of thing, no application code needs change to get the speed boost.

  • Is there a way to create a table then apply it to other sheets and have it mirror changes across all the sheets? Like a sync'ed table that will be the same on multiple sheets

I have a budget spreadsheet with a couple recurring tables. As months go by, I sometimes make changes to these tables and would like those changes to be synced across the different sheets in the spreadsheet. Is there a way to sync content across multiple pages, essentially having one true table that appears on multiple sheets?

    Abdur,
In the sheet :: table :: cell that is going to receive the data, type an equals sign, then click on the cell that the data will come from and press Return.
This will require that you navigate to the origin cell by choosing the proper sheet.

  • Is there a way to export the Table of Content?

We need to insert audio files to each slide. There are 127 slides in total, and we need to name each audio file using the corresponding slide's names. To do so, I think to have the Table of Content exported is a good way. Is there a way to do this?

  • Is there a way to make a "table header" a column instead of a row?

I am making a 508 compliant pdf from a predesigned indesign document that has many tables in it. The table that I am having problems with doesn't have it's table header as a Row at the top of the table but instead a Column that runs down the left side like this example:
To be read correctly in the pdf by screen readers the header needs to be included in the table but I don't know how to make a column a header, I have only found the option of making a row a header. Is there a way to do this or will I just have to retag and reorder the tags in the pdf after?
    Thanks!

@Joel – ah, now I begin to understand.
Slapbet wants to change the reading order in a two column table from:
    Usually:
    1  2
    3  4
    5  6
    to:
    1  4
    2  5
    3  6
If so, you need two separate tables:
One for column 1, one for column 2.
Grouped together, anchored in a text frame with the flowing text.
Could the every column is a single table construct work for you?
Or is it necessary for what ever reason (besides editing) to work with a single table?
A script could help to split every  column to a single table, making a group and anchor it to the text flow.
Or did I misunderstand what the problem here is?

  • Is there a way to know the table linkages in SAP?

    Hello Experts,
Suppose I want to know a particular table that can be linked to lets say, VBAK.
For example, I want to know the material description based from the sales document.
Is there a way to do this? Please don't give me links or files.
Thanks a lot guys and take care!

Well, there are some documents that I've seen which illistrates the links between tables, it was only for the sales document tables.  But really it is a matter of experience and dealing with the transactions.  Finding the pieces of data as your go.  You can also do an SQL trace on a transaction, this will show you all the tables hit during the runtime.
But to answer your question,  the material description on the sales order is copied form the material master.  The field on the sales document is ARKTX in table VBAP, the material master field is MAKTX in table MAKT,  you can link to this table using the MATNR from VBAP.

  • Is there a way to modify Incase Mini Car Charger so it will fit into iPhone 5s in a case?

I should have read the reviews in the Apple Store before buying the Incase Mini Car Charger before I bought it: the material around the lightning connector is much thicker than that in the Apple cable (which broke after not much use) and won't fit into the 5s with the case I have on the phone. Is there a way to "shave" the rubbery material to make this work?

dumdidadida: Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't address the problem. HSTS is designed to FORCE the use of https, this is a good thing in most cases. However, HSTS is problematic in that it incorrectly assumes that all users trust the default list of CAs and makes the adding of exceptions impossible even by advanced users.
torprojec.org is just an example, this effects every HSTS site. You can reproduce this problem yourself in version 17 or later if you temporary disable "DigiCert High Assurance EV Root CA" in your certificate store and then visit torproject.org. You will notice the ability to add exceptions has been removed and that the cert_override.txt file found in the user's profile is also ignored.

  • [CS2 on Windows XP]: Is there a way to modify the JPG compression in an SVG?

    Hello,
I have got an EPS file.It contains some text, some paths, and a rastered image.
Saved as a JPG with moderate compression it is 125KB in size. For an EPUB I want to insert is as an SVG. But when I save it as an SVG (text being converted to paths) it is over 600 KB and thus exeeding the 300k limit that exists for files within an EPUB container.
Is there a way to have the JPG stream in the SVG more compressed? The W3C spec of the SVG format doesn't say anything about a fixed compression level, so I guess the compression can be varied. But Illustrator CS2 doesn't seem to have any appropriate setting.

  • Is there a way to modify the schema-mapped XML that is generated by the submit action prior to submission?

I have a form created in LiveCycle ES2. I have mapped some fields to a schema that causes LC to generate XML that adheres to the import format of one of my company's internal databases.
There is one problem: the system's import function looks for a DTD DOCTYPE declaration between the XML declaration and root element. I've tried including the declaration in the schema, but LC does not include it in the mapped values or the export. I've spoken with the vendor about declaring the DTD as part of the import function and they have given a firm "No."
Is there a way to insert one line of markup into the XML that LC generates in the submit action before the XML is attached to the e-mail?

Thanks for pointing me at those. Worked like a charm. My stylesheet ended up looking like this (in case anyone is curious later on):
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
        <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
            <xsl:template match="/">

  • Is there any way to modify the photo book size after I have created the book?

I created a photo book then realized it was not the correct size. Is there a way to correct the size or do I have to start from scratch?
I Found the answer after I posted this- CTRL D to duplicate, then choose new theme - Worked like a charm.

Yes.  First click on the book in the Projects section and type Command +D (duplicate).  Open the book, click on Change Themes and in the next window select the size and type you want.
The duplicate is to have in case you find any text that was removed in the resizing.  You can cut and past from the duplicate copy to the original.  Also verify that the resized book has all of its text, not text warning indicators and that all photos are there and in the correct order.
Always create a PDF version of the book according to this Apple doucment, iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture, to check for any errors, i.e. typos, missing text, etc., before ordering the book.  Keep the pdf file to compare with the printed version when it arrives.
Opps!  Answered your question from the title without reading the full body of your post. However, the last 2 paragraphs are worth reviewing.

  • Is there a way to sort a table by a column of scripture references?

    Here's some sample data:
    Book
    Reference
    Genesis
    1:2
    Genesis
    1:26
    Genesis
    1:6-19
    Genesis
    1:6-8
    Genesis
    12:1
    Genesis
    12:3
    Genesis
    2:2
My table has certain references from all the books of the Bible (sans Apocrypha), so it's prohibitively hefty, but this gives you a few of my problems:
It's really hard to sort by books, as they weren't included in the canon in, um, alphabetical order. But I can get around that.
The verses (the numbers after the colon in the Reference column) are sorted in A-Z style, which is where the bulk of my problem is:
All chapters beginning with "1" will sort ahead of chapter 2... this is a problem.
All verses that begin with a lower ordinal will precede any verse that begins with a higher one--in the example above, "26" sorts ahead of "6-19".
It may be that I'm asking too much of Numbers' built-in sorting tool... any ideas on how I can straighten this out? Short of breaking the chapters and verses apart, of course... I have like 9,000 rows to this table and am not really keen on breaking that format up if I can avoid it, though I'm thinking I won't be able to.
    Thoughts?

    Hi Mikey,
Numbers sorts numbers in numerical order, and text in 'alphabetical order'.
You can sort books into the order they appear by adding a column containing a number equivalent to the book's position in the Book.
Chapter and verse can be handled in several ways:
Separate book, chapter and verse into four columns. book in two columns (number in the first, name in the second), chapter (as a number) in the third, verse (as a number) in the fourth.
A three stage sort, on book number, then on chapter number, then on verse number will then put everything back in the original order. Note that a 'three stage sort' is NOT the same as 'three single rule sorts'.
First two columns as above, chapter and verse combined in column 3. This will require a change in your chapter:verse notation. Here are two possibilities:
    1. Use a numeric notation, replacing the colon with a decimal point. Add one or two leading zeroes to the verse part (after the decimal) to maintain three places after the decimal..
    2. Use text notation, retaining the colon separator. pad the chapter number and the verse number with leading zeroes to maintain three digits before and after the colon.
(Three places are needed before the colon to allow for the 150 'chapters' in Psalms. Two will be sufficient after the colon unless there is a chapter with more than 99 verses. Unnumbered verses may be accommodated by appending a letter to the number for the past numbered verse (in the text notation), or by extending the decimal part by one digit (for up to nine unnumbered verses in sequence, or by two digits for sequences containing more then nine, but fewer that 100 unnumbered verses. I didn't do a search to determine which of these would be necessary.
Either of the C&V notations above could be constructed from the 'standard' notation using a formula, and placed in a column which may be hidden, and used only for sorting.

    Barry

  • Is there a way to modify the name displayed in the Title Bar at the top of the Audition Window?

It's not uncommon for me to have a copy of Audition versions 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 all open at the same time if I'm doing some editing for a complex project.
It would be handy for me to quickly see which window I have open without having to recognise the icons of the different versions.  At the moment, each Title Bar just displays the Audition icon and the words "Adobe Audition".  I'd like to add the version number to the name, if it's possible.  I'm happy to edit the Windows Registry, if that is what is needed.
Does anybody know where the Title Bar information is stored?

I have an answer you might like Howard.
You could simply export one title to a PRTL file, then duplicate it using an Excel VB macro to change the name of the file based on a list in an excel file. You could type in a couple of dates, then just drag down to the 365th row and all of the dates would be there waiting for the macro to rename the file. Then, if you are really talented, you could find the appropriate text in the XML file and change it to match the name of the title, but without the PRTL extension.
That way the font and position and style would all be right and the effort would be in a file you could share with the world.
Hmmm. I might have to try that myself one of these days. Could come in handy. If you are more comfortable with Word than Excel, create the dates in Excel and paste them into a table in Word. Just be careful not to mess up the
Edit: Oh, and of course, you import the titles back into Premiere Pro.

  • Is there a way to save a table in Photoshop (that was created in InDesign) without fuzzy text?

I am trying to save a table in Photoshop that was created in InDesign for web use. When I save it as a png (can't save as pdf or jpeg due to limitations with our company's website), the text appears fuzzy (pixelated?). Is this because the table is getting flattened/rasterized?
Is there a different adobe product that can be used to avoid this happening? The company who has built our website has a style editor that has limited capabilities. We have tried using the website's editor to create the tables; however, the editor lacks the flexibilty and user-friendliness that comes with InDesign. That is why we opted to create the tables in Indesign.
In order to upload the table into the editor, the file must be saved as a png, so that is why we are creating in InDesign and then saving the table in Photoshop.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you for the help!
    Tracy

    Thanks for your help!
Just to clarify, are you suggesting going through the export process while in Indesign? I did that and saved the table as an EPS file, then proceeded to open it, trim, and save as png in Photoshop. I noticed it lost it's white background when I reopened it in Photoshop; the table appeared with a transparent background (which isn't a big deal). When I uploaded the png in the website it doesn't appear to be as blurry, so that did help.
    Thank you for the suggestion!

  • Is there a way to create ADF Table using a bean

    Hi,
    I am using JDev 11g 11.1.1.2.0.
I am reading an excel sheet and want to generate an ADF table using the same. I already have hold on excel data.
But when I go through the RichTable API, I find that there is no method to add Columns and Rows. Most or all the methods work on the table UI Looks attribute.
Any suggestion? Am I missing a method OR 2 here?
Pls note: The excel (CSV file) using which I am populating my table, will vary for different user. i.e.
say user 1 will upload a CSV file with 7cols and 100 rows while
user 2 will upload the CSV file that has 2 cols and 100 rows.
Hope this makes it clear of my requirements and why I want to populate the table from a bean.
    Thanks in advance.
