Is there a way to create a drop down menu with an automatic answer dependent on what is chosen? An if-then statement perhaps? I am looking to add over 100 drop down options and would like to have a message automatically pop up depending one which option they chose. Thank you.

Adobe Form... Is there a way to use a drop down menu to highlight or note other fields...

I am working on a simple Adobe form. I am currently trying to figure out if there is a way to use the answers of a drop down menu to either mark, note or highlight 14 other fields. There are 9 possibilities in the drop down menu, include a blank and NONE.
For example if the drop down menu is set to 1, then field 9, 10 and 14 are marked, noted or highlighted.
Is this possible with a script?

Have you looked at the properties that are available to form fields. I would look at setting the fill color or border color for a form field. Either of these can be done with Acrobat JavaScript.

Using FormCentral is there a way to create a drop down for a date?

In using a previous version of Adobe Professional, in designing fillable PDF forms we were able to create a field with a drop-down date. Is there any way to do this using FormCentral?

I think want you are asking is if it is possible for to have a Date Field which when the user click on the field a calendar comes up to pick a date?
If that is the case then the PDF generated by FormsCentral doesn't support this yet.
I am guessing that you were using LiveCycle Designer to create forms in the past. The some forms generated by LC Designer does support this type of field.

Is there a way to create interactive drop downs?

I have a product form that I am trying to create a warranty list that allows the user to be able to select specific warranties based on the products they are using.
For example, If the form user selects from a drop down that they are using Product # 1, it will give them another drop down with a list of options for warranties available for that Product. If they choose Product #2, it will give them different warranty options that are available for that product.
If this is possible, is it also able to do more than one level of options. I would like to add a color option in there and warranty length as well.
I know this can be done in Livecycle, but can it be done using the Adobe form tools? My company primarily uses IPads with the PDF Expert app and this is one form that they want accessible.
I am also a beginner with java and form creation so a dumbed down version of an answer would be appreciated.

Yes, it's possible with an acroform. I'd have to check to see if PDF Expert supports the JavaScript that you'd need to use before saying it will work there. It has decent support for JavaScript, but it's not complete as is Reader for Windows/Mac. Unfortunately, Adobe Reader for iOS doesn't support it at all. Drop Down Menu with images in Muse and Animate

i am trying to create a drop down menu with images as you can see on this website:

In Adobe Muse the menu with all pages in it doesn't let me insert pictures.
With the empty composition widget i archived something similar but when once activated the action it doesn't close.
My last try was to build a menu in Edge Animate. The Problem i had was that when i used the action click, open URL.
Inserted in Muse the new page opens in the created animation and not on the same page fullscreen.
What have i done wrong?

I am having a similar problem. I have multiple widgets on a page -- menus, accordions, tooltips, slideshows. As soon as I 'activate' a widget (eg: expand an accordion or play a slideshow) it disables all the triggers below it, as well as all the hyperlinks. This seems like a bug... I hope there's a workaround?

Besides using that Project Seven plug-in, is there a way to
create an image gallery without using layers? Or is layers the only
way to do it? All I want (words of doom, huh?) is a thumbnail to be
able to switch and image and add a caption to it. Can anyone point
me in the right direction? Or is that Project Seven plug-in deal my
best bet? What about Set Text of Layer in DW.
Oh yeah, Im still using DW with CSS sprinkled in..any help?

Of course.

That would do it, and it's not necessary that the layer stay
a layer after
you have done it, either. I do this frequently - make a
layer, apply the
behavior, and then remove the position:absolute from the div,
and place it
where I want it.

Lr does not (natively) support saving brushes in presets, but it's a UI limitation, not an "under the hood" problem.
You can add brush strokes (or spot removals, or .. ) to a preset using a script I wrote (and offer for free), called

I'm wondering how i can create a drop down menu for the qty module that sits on the individual product page. My client sells in quantities of 6 packs. I currently have the minimum order at 6 but i would like to give consumers the option for 6,12,18...and so forth. I was told that it could be accomplished? Hopefully someone can help me.

Thank you for your reply! I had seen your article before, and just now again attempted to follow it, but I get stuck. There are two things that I'm confused by.
First off, toward the top, referring to the initial button, you say to add this interaction:
ON CLICK; Play Transition to comboBox: selected
ON ROLL OUT; Play Transition to comboBox normal if comboBox is in over state
ON ROLL OVER; Play Transition to comboBox over if comboBox is in normal
However, I do not see these transition options. When I select the button, the only interactions I have are to Play transistion to state, Play action sequence, Go to URL, and two for videos. So that's the first roadblock for me.
But, trying to get passed that, I went down to the portion of the article that refers to adding interaction to the dataset items. Again, I don't get it, as I see no way to add interaction to a dataset item. When I open my design-time data menu, I do see the items, and am able to rename each item, add additional rows, and change the shape of the datalist layout. However, I see no way to add an interaction to a dataset item. I must be missing a step ... Can you help with this?

Creating a drop down menu configured with VISA write

Hi I'm using the Basic Serial Write Read example vi in LabVIEW to communicate using the serial port. Instead of having a write box on the front panel connected to the VISA Write in the program I want to create a drop down menu on the front panel to be able to choose from a variety of commands. Is there a way I can program multiple commands into the block diagram and choose one of them on the front panel to send to VISA Write? For example, the commands to choose current are I/E\s0\r for 1 A, I/E\s-1\r for 100 mA and so on. I want to be able to choose between 1A, 100mA, etc on the front panel and have the code send the corresponding function to VISA Write. Is this possible?

Yes, correct - values of form fields. If one is blank, then the field would be blank - yes? If two or more have the same value that is fine.
