Is there any IEC-bus Library in Java?

I wonder if it is possible to use java to mange a device via IEC/IEEE bus?

I wonder if it is possible to use java to mange a
device via IEC/IEEE bus? From what I can remember of programing a GPIB in C, you have to include a driver that comes with the card and the way of accessing the driver varied from manufacturer, though there is supposed to be a standard.
Using Java you would need some native code to interface with the drivers.

  • Is there any irreversible executable file for java?

Is there any irreversible executable file for java? Because class files can be decompiled but .exe files can’t be decompiled (as far I know).
Then how can I make my code secure and inaccessible?
    Thanks in advance.

This question is discussed every now and then. Look for those discussions and also for obfuscators.

  • Is there any way to write a Java prg without main()

I would like to know Is there any way to write a Java program without using main() function.

    > i am unable to execute the program ..............i
think there must be a main method through with the
    program starts
The program can be compiled and run. After running it, you'll see "They'll kill you for that" followed by something like "java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: main" and finally someone with a big Volvo will burst into your room and runs you over.

  • Are there any Language Translators Libraries with Java API

I have a single xml document that contains all the text displayed in my application. I now want to translate the text into other languages and I thought I could do it my using the SAX to parse the individual elements, translate the text and then write out the resulting file. Are there any open source/java libraries that can translate text into other languages.
For now I am just interested in the most popular European languages, French,Spanish,German and Italian

I hear what you are saying, but if it could just make start that would be great. I have a program that I have been very careful to ensure all text is localized but I dont have the time/expertise to translate it myself or the funds to get it done professionally. I also have my help manual in docbook xml format so would like to translate that as well.
I thought AltaVistas BabelFish might have a Java API but have been unable to find one.
Also even if the translation was to be done by humans it is very difficult for a translater to edit the file in xml format,so I think I still need a process to extract the text from the file, allow it to be translated, and then read it back in.

  • Is there any way to check another Java program running status?

HI. I want to write a Java program on hand-set but my program seems needs lots of resources and if there is another Java program running on the same hand-set simultaneously, my program will slow down. So, I want to check if there is another Java program is running on the hand-set, my program will show a message to user reminding user to close another program first.
Is there any way to do so?

On most recent devices, the application is not terminated but paused by using phone functions, and can be reactivated from the aplication management software. The javax.microedition.midlet package documentation is quite specific, if a tad obscure, about the MIDlet lifecycle and the role of the MIDelt methods vis-a-vis the AMS.

Parenthetically, I've never been able to figure out how resumeApp should be used, nor have I seen this method invoked in any of the samples that come with the WTK, but I haven't gone through all of them.
I believe the still-in-progress MIDP3 will make it possible to have MIDlets that share the screen with native apps and which can be minimized and restored.

    Hi,
the FMW docs (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/index.htm) also contain a reference to the JavaScript API. Note that the recommendation is to use javaScript by exception. The Web Developer Guide - chapter 5 and others - contain JavaScript examples

  • Is there any parallel programming libraries for java?

    Greetings

    Did you try google?

  • Is there any bilateral filter library existing?

    Hi,
I am looking for an edge-preserving convolution method written in AS3 but it's really hard to find one.
Bilaterial filter is one of the most popular edge-preserving convolution.
Have any of you seen a bilaterial filter library written in AS3?
If not, can you tell me a good opensource image-processing library such as OpenCV in flash, if there is any?
    Thanks,

I know this isn't entirely an answer on your question but a while back I did some decent speed edge detection using this library (AS3 (slow) version and a PixelBender (fast) version available, but old): http://blog.inspirit.ru/?p=297
I'm sure there's quite a bit more out there but it detected edges very well when I used it. With that you can simply make a mask. Then all you need to do duplicate the image, blur the bottom image and use your generated gradient mask to multiply the original image over the blurred image to show the original sharper edges.
If you find a library, please share it!

  • Is there any way to view the Java API through Eclipse or any IDE?

I usually use Eclipse to code and sometimes, when i'm typing a method it will show a small list of the methods available for that class. Does Eclipse (or any other IDE, but Eclipse especially), have the java API available for view somewhere in the program?
    Thanks.

In Eclipse Select Window -> Show View -> JavaDoc. If you're JRE is set up correctly, it will show you the JavaDoc of the currently selected class/method/member variable in that view.
If it isn't, then go to Window -> Preferences -> Java -> Installed JRE and edit the JavaDoc location of the rt.jar (for Java 6 http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/ is a good value, as long as you're online).

  • Is there any way to remove the 'Java web start window' message on windows?

    This is unacceptable.
You can download an application in any language and install it.
If so many hoops have to be jumped through for security, and it changes the display to boot, this is simply not worth the (2 days!!) of effort is has taken to look into this and get it working right.

nm, I figured out that a signed app will not have this problem.

  • Is there any special meaning associate to _ in java

hello friends is there any special meaning associates in java ....
if i declare a variable like productprice than underscore before product denote some special meaning .....
my colleauge told me this but am confused do good programmer use underscore in their programs for special meanings
    plz tell me

Some people name their member variables with a
leading or trailing _ by convention, but that only
has meaning to those humans that follow that
convention. It means nothing to Java. One guy I know uses it for local variables and uses p... for paremeters. Which drives me nuts... imagine having variables like _Result....

  • Any third party library ?

java can not fetch the System information. may be its a windows machine or may be its a linux machine. because they depend upon native. though JNI has given some access but that is tedious to do.
I am looking for some third party library which can fetch the System information .
Do you know any such third party library ?
i need CPU and Memory information of the System.
is there any third party library provides that ?

does java 1.5 can help us in this regard ?
    i found
In 1.5, you have the management beans. will it be of any use ?

  • Is there any sql analysis tool?

    Hi all,
Is there any open source library/tool that monitors a database and hold statical analysis of the usage and frequency of sql statements?
    thank you in advance, Kostas

That would be database specific and normally (perhaps always) only something that the database vendor can provide.

  • Is there any Discoverer API

Is there any discoverer API exposed for.Java developers to create plugin components and use them in the ADMIN version?

I'm not sure if there's an API from ADMIN to Java.
However, under the newest versions, Oracle very strongly is supporting Java to perform many things that the ADMIN version does (so in other words, going the other way).
It's my opinion - and I know ... everyone's got 'em - but it sure looks to me that Oracle will some day replace the client / server version of Admin with a Java program that does the same thing.
I believe that you can create the Java yourself now if you're good at Java to literally replace the Admin client / server version.
And if you do it - please fire me a copy as I'd love one of those!
