It's iTunes>apps, not iTunes>iPhone>apps. I didn't realize there were different windows.

A database cannot in general use indexes in this way for an 'or' involving two different columns. However, for this specific example one can easily rewrite the query using 'UNION' to use the relevant indexes while still giving the same (correct) result:

Maybe you can apply a similar trick? If you know there is no possibility of duplicate rows then you can further optimise this (in terms of performance) by using UNION ALL.

Jailbreaking cannot be discussed on Apple forums., except to point you to the following article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3743 which will let you know why Apple strongly cautions against "jailbreaking".
You could sell your current iPod and buy a new one, which will be able to use iOS 5.

No. Are you saving the project as a disk image rather than burning directly to disk from iDVD? If not then that's what I suggest you do. That will separate the encoding process from the burn process to save time and disks if the encoding is bad. It also lets you burn a second or third disk without having to encode again.

Drag the folders to the external drive, and if prompted, click Authenticate. You'll probably be asked for an administrator password.

You can hide anything that you wish to from the Purchases pane, but you can never erase history. You cannot change the fact that you bought something.

Well Maybe you should of thought about that at an earlier time and or maybe you should of bought the Applecare extended warranty when you bought the system or maybe you should of bought a system that wasn't as expensive, as a Mac, and then you could of afforded a better, Longer, Warranty with the system at time of puchase.

How are you doing this -- starting from your Recovery HD and using Restore From Time Machine Backups, or did you erase your HD, reinstall OSX, and are using Setup/Migration Assistant?

The short answer is no! But unofficially you can. The possibility (and the limitations) of the decompilation come from the class file format's being well-defined and open (available). So I do not think decompilation is very much "unofficial".
You might, howebver, think decompilation is "unofficial", because there is no decomplier bundled with the "official" JDK (SDK): javap is useful but provides less than the decompilers.

I recently bought an old iPhone 3GS handset off my friend, which she understandably compltely wiped, including apps. The problem which neither of us realised is that she had plenty of apps because she had obviously downloaded them when current versions were available for the 3GS. Frustratingly, I can no longer download basically ANY apps because they are not available for iOS 4.2.1 anymore. Is there a solution to this?? or am I completely stuck. I can't download even what I would have thought as 'standard' such as facebook, twitter, google maps etc.

If you did not setup Find My Phone, I'm afraid yo're out of luck. There is no practical way to track your phone.

My phone's locked to my boyfriends apple id/icloud account and we don't know the password, there is no way of getting the password either, it's a really old account is there any way around this meaning i can unlock my phone again?

You cannot remove the iCloud account without the password if the iPhone is running iOS 7 (check under Settings > General > About > Version). You can sign out of the App Store under Settings > iTunes & App Stores. This part does not require their password.

I just got a new iPad and sync'd all my apps onto it however I didn't realize it wouldnt sync the game data (levels etc). I don't want to start from scratch on my games if I want to play them on the iPad.

The main app I want the app data sync'd on is Cat Physics.

It depends on the game - some will sync scores over Game Center or over their own server (the crossword puzzle app I use gives us two options - their own server or Game Center). You'll have to contact the makers of Cat Physics to find out - Apple did create this functionality in GC, but it's up to the developer to chose to use it.
