Is there any way to stop Illustrator from adding "copy" to the name of duplicate layers?

In the layers panel, when I duplicate a layer (or layers) illustrator appends the name of the duplicate with copy, copy 2, copy 3 etc.). Can this behaviour be turned off so that the duplicate layer name is identical to the original?

I doubt it. While Illustrator will allow you to manually assign the same name to multiple layers, I don't believe there is a switch to make it happen by default. Auto-naming of anything is always going to be "protective."

if you are not on ios 6, then all you can do is wait. if you have deleted the address from your contact list, then it will live on for a while in your 'recently used' addresses. as you use new addresses, those older ones fall down the list, and eventually fall off altogether (unless you use them again). Have patience, it will go away.
Or do the update....

Open Accounts preferences, click on the Login Items tab. If you see the Terminal listed then select it and click on the Delete [-] button.

Certain websites have ads or content that plays music or videos and they are not always easily found to turn off. This also slows down my connection as it is constantly streaming or buffering and I have no way of stopping it. I don't want to block the audio/video, and I do use ad-blocker... However, it's just really annoying when I "open link in new tab" for something I want to look at a little later. Especially if I open several at once, I get multiple tabs playing audio and/or video, and sometimes it takes a while to figure out which tab is doing what...
The issue is I don't want to "block" them -- I just don't want them to play until either the tab is "activated" by clicking on it, or better yet, to only play when I click on the audio/video link.

Is There Any Way to Stop iTunes from Deleting Album Covers?

I have just spent hours organizing my music library, only to close iTunes for a moment and open it again to find half my album covers have been deleted. I know how to fix it, but you can imagine my frustration. "Get Album Artwork" seems to have stopped functioning as well, so thats manually fixing around 30 albums. I've seen people ask about this problem before. It's happened to me before but never to this extent. My main questions are:
1. Why does this happen?
2. How can I stop it from happening in the future?

I guess there's no way to make it stop, judging by the lack of any response.

This issue has been addressed tons of times (mostly dealing with Google), but with no satisfactory results. I realize the heart of the problem may lie with my internet provider, but I can't believe there isn't some way to force Firefox to go directly to the link you click on without redirecting. I tried changing the geo.enabled about:config preference to false, but that didn't work. I also tried to reduce the redirects in one of the preferences (can't remember which now) from 20 to 1, but then I just got an error message on the browser saying firefox could not complete the action, even though the correct web address showed up in the URL bar. Any answers? And please don't say to update my plugins!!!!!

Macs use an application called Migration Assistant to copy material from the old Mac to the new one. The macs are connected together and each runs Migration Assistance and the user chooses what stuf to copy onto the new Mac.
Unfortunately I do not know how to do this between pcs or between a Mac and a Pf or even if it's even possible.

I like to manually upload my photo's to my computer, then import them to iPhoto. My problem with this is that now I have duplicates and it's taking up way to much space on my computer. Is there any way to stop iPhoto from creating duplicates like this?

I always manually transfer photo's from my SD card to a new folder under Pictures, and then import them into iPhoto. After doing this for quite some time I know realize that I have all these duplicate photo's between iPhoto library and Pictures and a ton of wasted space. I want to continue to upload photo's to a new folder so I can organize them myself and then access them anytime through the finder, if I upload them through iPhoto then they're stored in "iPhoto Library" which can only be accessed through iPhoto. Is there anyway to stop iPhoto from duplicating photo's and just use it to catalog photo's from Pictures? Also on a side note, when using multiple SD cards in one folder, my camera often comes up with duplicate names for totally separate photo's, anyone have an suggestions for this?

Yes you can set iPhoto to run in Referenced mode but don't. It makes more work for zero advantage, is unnecessary and only storing up problems for the future.

These are things I would never want in my program in a million years. So why does Netbeans assume you want them automatically put in there when they are actually the source of much frustration, and also, can you keep it from happening?

Go to Tools--> Options, select Editor in the left pane, then the Code Templates tab in the right pane.
Eliminate whatever's not going to be useful to you. You can also add your own templates ... believe me, they make life easier.
