Is there anyway i can sync my phone to a new computer without loosing everything?
i have been given an apple laptop but i want to connect my iphone 4s to it is there anyway i can connect it to itunes without loosing everything spesh my music?
Yes. Put your old iTunes library to which you previously synced the phone on the new computer.
Some of the information below has subsequently appeared in a document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):

My old computer is broken... is ther a way to sync my phone to my new one without loosing all my music?
Delgadoh wrote:
You can either transfer the purchases to the new computer, or you can set the iPhone to manual mode and add the new songs while keeping the old. The article will go over how to do both options.
As far as I am aware an iPhone that has been associated with one library cannot be assoicated with a new one without iTunes wanting to erase and reload content from the local library. This normally means the loss of non-store purchases unless they are recovered first with third party tools. Setting the device to manual management on anything other than the "current" home library of the device will trigger the deletion of content.

How do i sync my phone to a new itunes without loosing everything?
I had to have my laptop restored as it was broken which meant everything was wiped so i had to reinstall itunes. When i plugged my phone in expecting it to be fine it wouldnt sync with my laptop without wiping the contents and replacing it with the contents of the new library which i obviously didnt want to do. So now i cant put any new music or anything onto my phone from itunes and everything on my phone can only stay there and cannot be transfered to my new library. Does anyone know how i can pair my phone with the new itunes library to get it back to how it was before and have it all syncing with one another again?

iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music [library] to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

I want to sync my iphone to a new computer without loosing my apps, contacts, and photos
I need to sync my iphone3 to a new computer without loosing my data
Take a look here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141 I think this is what you need. I just did a clean install of OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard on our iMac (mid-07) and used this guide to get my wife's iPhone (3GS) to sync with it again...without losing the apps. This page from OSXdaily is also useful: http://osxdaily.com/2012/02/29/sync-iphone-new-computer-without-losing-data/ I do use Time Machine, and backed up my drive before I did the whole wipe and install, so I did have all the backup files for the iPhone... It took a little time, but I did manage to drag all the music and photos over so I didn't lose anything. Hope this helps.

Syncing an ipad to a new computer without loosing data
Hi, I have an ipad with heaps of content on it, and it is currently synced with my old computer which is a PC. I recently got an older MacBook Pro and I want to have it synced with this MAC. As I try to sync it says only to erase and sync(which I definitely do not want) or to transfer purchases which seems to do nothing. Do I have to unsync it from my PC or something like that. Or somehow to back it up or something which I have little to no idea about. Nor do I know much about iTunes altogether.

If you still have access to the Old computer you used to Sync to... Then...
To have EVERYTHING as it is Now...
From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
Full Details Here > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751
An Added Bonus is that you will have a Backup of iTunes.

You should copy everything from your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

- Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- To transfer other music you need a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up.
- Restore the iPod from that backup -
