Is there a smarter way to find missing songs and albums besides having to go through each one individually? Some kind of batch process would be nice...

Is there not an easier way to rate apps?

So I've seen the posts saying that I cab rate an app on my iPad in the App store, but is there really not an easier way? As I am understanding this, I have to basically search for each app one by one - apps I've already got installed - and then rate them from the app store. This makes no sense at all. A) The only easy access to rating an app is basically as you are first downloading it on your iPad. B) This seems to really devalue the usefulness of something like the genius match thing that will suggest apps based on what I like. Sorry, I am not going to search for each individual app then rate it ... I don't understand why it just won't take me there from the "purchased" tab ... or am I missing something?

Easy way to find missing plug-in instance?

I'm making revisions to a project another designer made. In the project, there's a reference to a plug-in I don't have. How can I easily find the layer the effect is used and remove it?
I know CS4 has the new search feature, but effect searching is only done on the timeline search bar. Is there any way I can search an entire project without opening up every comp (there are close to a hundred)?

I recently transfered my library to my new computer. In the process I somehow added all the music and all of my playlists causing me to have many duplicate files. Is there a way to wipe out all the duplicates?

If you have facing pages, you have to set up the document with facing pages that is what is it for. If you have a spreadwide design as above, keep the spreads together. There is not even one reason not to do so.
Only for wire-O-bindings might a different workflow useful, but also with facing pages documents and only when the left page and the right page have not a spread wide design:

1. Create a document with Facing Pages.
2. Select the Spread in the Page Panel (Window > Page Panel) and in the panel’s flyout menu deselect "Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle". The spread’s page number will appear in brackets.
3. Select a single page of the spread and drag it to the side until a vertical bar appears.
4. Now you have the result.
Left and right pages have their own spread and will have a bleed around each page without taking information from the other page.

A belated hello. On the topic of duplicate songs / tracks showing up in, say, your iPhone Music app but not in your iTunes Library, with these versions installed ....
iTunes 10.5
iPhone 4 running on iOS 5
.... I discovered this too. This is what I did:
1. purchased full album from the iTunes Store
(once download completed, album magically showed up in iPhone Music app, as expected, without having to sync)
2. I then went to my iTunes Music view and edited the album year (Multiple Item Information)
3. Synced
4. All album tracks showed up in duplicate in iPhone Music app (but not in iTunes view)
Solution:
1. in iTunes, I changed back the album year to the one iTunes Store originally downloaded
2. Re-synced
3. Now all album tracks show up but no longer in duplicate in iPhone Music app
Lesson learned: When purchasing music from iTunes Store, leave metadata untouched.

The only way you'll be able to do that is to login to Outlook Web Access, or possibly setup an IMAP client to that user's mailbox or have TAC run the DohPropTest in attach mode to return the contents of the user's inbox. If the first two don't work, I'd go with the latter and let TAC help you verify if there are any messages in the inbox that are unread.

My grandson's ipod touch gen 4 was stolen so I picked up a used ipod touch gen 2 only to find out I can't upgrade beyond 4.2.1 iOS, so I am trying to find apps that run on that iOS. Enter an unfriendly App Store for those of us not used to using it!

Is there a quick and easy way to replace an image in an image frame that is already set up with the proper effects?
In my example, I have a photo grid and just need to replace the photos periodically. Everything is already in place in the grid. I don't want to recreate the grid on the page.
I thought that I could have clicked to get the brown frame for the image and placed a new one, but that didn't work. Or, I could have right clicked and found something like "replace image", but that didn't work.
How can I quickly and easily just click on the image I need to replace and replace it with another one?

There is an easy way to do this. Click on the image you would like to change and then change the fill to the new image. You will see the fill option in the upper left when you have the image you would like to change selected.

Is there any way to find missing fonts in images through JS? InDesign automatically substitutes the alternate fonts while trying to fetch through JS so unable to find the font status.

in InDesign CS4 you might check the results of the preflight instead looking for used fonts and their status.
At least you should get the names of missing fonts.

Let me explain:
In the clock app for ios 6.0.2 I am a little confused. It allows you to go into your music library, and create a ringtone using any songs you choose. However, I cannot find a way to remove a song from this list, just like I cannot delete one of the preset ringtones (which I'm not trying to do, but just as an example)

I believe you just are able to delete them from iTunes.
