Isg_database_down

Question

I have database as GENIUS and its running in noarchive mode..
SQL> startup mount
ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area 236000356 bytes
Fixed Size 451684 bytes
Variable Size 201326592 bytes
Database Buffers 33554432 bytes
Redo Buffers 667648 bytes
Database mounted.
SQL> alter database open;
alter database open
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01589: must use RESETLOGS or NORESETLOGS option for database open
WHEN I CHECKED THE ALERT LOG it is showing the error

hi,
are you sure your DB is in no archive mode.
try to open with alter database open restloggs; command
this command is for incomplete recovery.
if you are sure your DB is in no archive mode. if you have any cold bacjup restore it and then open the DB,,,..
