Issue implementing PhaseListner in ADF

Hi Friends,
By referring the solution to create phaselistner in ADF at how we can create phaselistener...... plz help me I created listner class and added the entry in faces-config.xml. I restrted the weblogic server after modifying the xml. However, it is not working for me. Could someone suggest what I am missing here?
RequestListner .java
package com.bmc.crms.listner;
import javax.faces.event.PhaseEvent;
import javax.faces.event.PhaseId;
import javax.faces.event.PhaseListener;
public class RequestListner implements PhaseListener{
@SuppressWarnings("compatibility:-6115882569671806271")
private static final long serialVersionUID = -3616287763993951473L;
* @param phaseEvent
public void afterPhase( PhaseEvent phaseEvent) {
System.out.println("++++++++ afterPhase ++++++++ " );
public void beforePhase(PhaseEvent phaseEvent){
System.out.println("++++++++ beforePhase ++++++++ " );
public PhaseId getPhaseId()
return PhaseId.RESTORE_VIEW;
faces-config.xml entry:
<lifecycle>
<phase-listener>com.bmc.crms.listner.RequestListner</phase-listener>
</lifecycle>

After adding the Phase listner I get the following error in the diagnosis file.
My application has one login page which creates task going thru the authentication which was working fine. I am now trying to implement the Listner through which I want to get the roles for the user.
After adding the listner something got broken. The login page is taking me to the same page after entering the username /password. I am using JDev 11.1.1.4.0 and weblogic 10.3

  • Implementing Security For ADF Pages when integrated with Oracle APPS

    Hi,
    Can anyone please let me know the solution to the below problem ?
    I have an ADF application that is deployed on a weblogic server. An URL is generated to access the ADF Pages.
    I have created one more simple jsp (Launch.jsp) which redirects to this URL on page load.
    I am using Oracle APPS where:
    ->I registered a form function referring to Launch.jsp
    ->I am referring form function in a responsibility , attaching that to a menu
    ->When the valid oracle user logs in, I am sending all oracle apps environment variables (User id , Responsibility id, application id ) for that session
    What my issue is :
    ->The URL along with the parameters that I am sending from the Launch.jsp to the ADF Page is visible to the user. So, even if the Oracle APPS user has not logged in, anybody who knows the URL can access the ADF Pages.
    ->So, Is there any way to implement the security so as, even if anyone knows the URL of the ADF Page cannot access the ADF Pages without the valid user being logged-in through the Oracle APPS.
    I am using Jdeveloper 11g.
    Please let me know if you need anymore details.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kavitha

    Please help me out if anyone has a solution to this problem.
    Thanks,
    Kavitha

  • The Excel-Mania - Best Ways of Implementing Excel-Like ADF

    Hello people, good afternoon!
    I would like to share with you a doubt i have implementing complex, matrix-like forms in ADF. More often than i'd like to hear, users ask for input forms that closely resemble Microsoft Excel, where the dimensions are layered both vertically and horizontally, and the intersection between them must contain an input or output component, allowing themselves to rapidly input the data they need or to create a web version of Oracle Reports' Matrix Report. Some cases are:
    1) The user wishes to associate the employees (located in table EMPLOYEES) to the projects (located in table PROJECTS) in a screen that lays out the employees as columns and the projects as rows in a table. The intersection between them must contain a checkbox, which will insert a third record when selected, on a table called EMP_PROJ, which associates the employees to the projects.
    2) The user wishes to input a timecard in a time control system. This system must have a screen that shows the days in the week as columns, and the projects the employee is working on as rows. On the intersection, we must provide an input text where he will enter the hours he worked on that specific project on that day.
    3) The user wishes to see a screen that shows the Open Auctions they have in a Purchasing system as rows in a table, crossed with the suppliers that have bidded on these (as the columns). The intersection must contain the price each supplier bidded on each Auction.
    As you can see, i run across this requirement A LOT =). And, as much as i have polished my "Web-Like-Applications-Are-Not-Like-This" and "You-Are-Not-Working-With-Excel" speeches, our beloved users never learn ;)
    Nevertheless, i have been looking for a consistent way to implement this behavior, and i have found some options along the way. I would like to know your impressions on this matter, and if you have any "Best-Practices" that you imagine for this case.
    CASE 1: Creating a Dynamic, On-The-Fly View Object by using ADF BC APIs and using af:table component to do the trick on the page
    PROS: Less work in the View layer, Preservation of the Table CSS Layout (very nice blue header and light brown cells)
    CONS: A LOT of work on the BC layer, creates an awful lot of View Objects, and generates tons of java code on the Application Modules.
    CASE 2: Creating the model as usual and working with repeating layouts on ADF Faces (for example, enclosing an af:cellFormat on an af:forEach to repeat each column)
    PROS: Simplifies the BC layer, making it much cleaner and maintainable.
    CONS: Loses a lot of the declarative wonders of ADF Faces and also the CSS Layouts, since we are using cellFormat, rowLayout and tableLayout instead of table tag we have to manually apply the styles to the columns and rows.
    Of course, both implementations take an awful lot of time. Any other implementation styles are quite welcome (ADF Wizards, step in!)
    Anyone wants to discuss better ways of doing it?
    Best Regards,
    Thiago Souza

    Well, you could do the following:
    1) Create a stored procedure that assembles the data into a rowset with rows and fields like the format you want.
    2) Create stored procedures that handle insert, update, and delete.
    3) Create an entity object definition with all transient attributes. Make the attributes match the elements of one row.
    4) Override doDML() in the entity object class to call your procedures (the doc explains how to do this). You might also need to do a bit of research and figure out if you need to override some other method so you can report rows with transient attribute changes only as needing posting. (getPostState(), maybe?)
    5) Create a view object definition with entity-derived attributes based on your EO attributes.
    6) Override the appropriate methods to call your data assembly procedure rather than execute a query (this is also in the doc).
    Still kind of kludgy, but it keeps your business components pretty clean, especially if you use framework classes to do most of the work for you. (I have a partial example of how to do that here.) Of course, it keeps your business components clean by moving the real work to the DB, but some people find that more maintainable that a kazillion business components.
    Hope this helps,
    Avrom

  • Issue after deployment of ADF App into Standalone server.

    Hi
    I was able to run my ADF App from Integrated server, but after deploying the same APP in standalone server and when we access the Page.

    Is it have to do with the Deployment profile ? or any Data Control Issue ?

    Thanks Guys,
    You won't believe if I say the issue because of a minute error.
    for some reason the AMImpl.xml and its class files were getting created in different directory where as the DataControl was referencing the different directory, when I changed the proper directory for classes files to generate things started to work fine.
    As long as the creating the deployment profile, I think I did right. So all is fine at my end.. thanks for your links, it was really helpful though.
    Thanks

  • Implementing menus in ADF

    Hello,
    i want to implement an application menu using adf. i use a menubar, commandmenuitems and a menulist.
    what i want is, that when clicking on a "item" on the menubar, a list of possible actions should appear.
    for example: i click on "edit" and then the list "cut,copy,paste" should appear.
    how can i do this using adf?
    greetings
    sascha

    Thanks for the suggestion of placing in managed bean at application level.
    If the object is updatable, how can we prevent multiple users from updating at the same time?
    thanks

  • Issue with SelectOneChoice in ADF Table

    Hi,
    I am trying to create ADF table with a editable columns, one with InputBox and another with SelectionOneChoice. InputBox is working fine but for SelectOneChoice its not populating the value passed to it.
    The values of SelectOneChoice are coming from JavaClass. Accesing the list through pageFlowScope.
    Code:
    *<af:column sortProperty="sponsorPercentage" sortable="false"*
    *headerText="#{bindings.sponsor1.hints.sponsorPercentage.label}"*
    *id="c11">*
    *<af:inputText label="Label 1" id="it5"*
    *value="#{row1.sponsorPercentage}"/>*
    *</af:column>*
    *<af:column id="c1" headerText="Sponsor Status">*
    *<af:selectOneChoice label="Label 2" id="sStatus" value="#{row1.sponsorStatusDesc}"*
    *validator="#{backingBeanScope.EditSponsorDetails.OnSponsorStatusChange}">*
    *<f:selectItems value="#{pageFlowScope.confLists.spStatus}"*
    *id="si1"/>*
    *</af:selectOneChoice>*
    *</af:column>*
    In the first column i can see the date in InputBox. But in second column where i am using SelectOneChoice i cannot see data. I can see list of values in SelectOneChoice but unable to populate the data passed to it.
    Any idea what i am missing over here?
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Thoom.

    This is my code:
    <af:column id="c1" headerText="Sponsor Status">
    <af:selectOneChoice label="Label 2" id="soc1" value="#{row1.sponsorStatusDesc}"
    validator="#{backingBeanScope.EditSponsorDetails.OnSponsorStatusChange}"
    valuePassThru="true">
    <f:selectItems value="#{pageFlowScope.confLists.spStatus}"
    id="si1"/>
    </af:selectOneChoice>
    </af:column>
    and this i what HTML code says..
    <select id="confSponsor:r2:0:tbIEEEsp:0:soc1::content" class="x2h" name="confSponsor:r2:0:tbIEEEsp:0:soc1">
    <option _adftmpopt="t" value="" title=""></option>

    I don't think you need the f:ajax tag - you should be able to do the synchronization between the tables with the built-in partial page refresh functionality.
    Just define the partialTrigger property of the second table to point to the firsttable.

  • BPM Task payload namespace issue while modifying from ADF UI

    Hi,
    In my BPM process, I have the below tasks.
    1. Input task - user input form
    2. Review task - to review the user input values
    I have created the UI for the above tasks through Auto-generate forms.
    Before invoking Input task, I have created a transformation to initailize the payload elements, so that in the UI these field elements will be become editable.
    I have an ADF table which is used to insert account details elements which is initialized in the transformation with namespace.
    <ns0:bankAccountsType>
    <ns0:registrationNumber></ns0:registrationNumber>
    <ns0:accountNumber></ns0:accountNumber>
    <ns0:bankName></ns0:bankName>
    </ns0:bankAccountsType>
    I am using the createInsert operation of the ADF command button to insert records for these table in UI. The row is getting inserted with values and clicked "Approve" to go to the Review task.
    Now if i check the flow trace for this instance in EM console. ie "Review Task - Instance entered the activity"
    The payload elements for this account types is coming namespace for first record (becoz the row is intialized in BPM transformation) and the second & third record is not showing namespace.
    <ns0:bankAccountsType>
    <ns0:registrationNumber>111111111111111</ns0:registrationNumber>
    <ns0:accountNumber>1111111111111111</ns0:accountNumber>
    <ns0:bankName>qqqq</ns0:bankName>
    </ns0:bankAccountsType>
    <bankAccountsType>
                   <registrationNumber>222222222222</registrationNumber>
                   <accountNumber>222222222222</accountNumber>
                   <bankName>www</bankName>
              </bankAccountsType>
              <bankAccountsType>
                   <registrationNumber>3333333333</registrationNumber>
                   <accountNumber>3333333333</accountNumber>
                   <bankName>sas</bankName>
              </bankAccountsType>
    Is there any way ADF can keep the namespace while adding new items?

    I have an ADF table which is used to insert account details elements which is initialized in the transformation with namespace.You can simple use a ADF form to do this. Create ADF editable input fields in a panelFormLayout and wehn user enters values and clicks ona button .. pass those values to BPM payload.

  • Issues implementing a simple waterfall in Java3D

    I am currently implementing a waterfall display using Java3D. I have some questions about design, and also one about performance difficulties.
    The overall design structure is as follows:
    * The display is made up of a 2 dimensional grid, with each cell representing a data point viewed as a different color. Specifically I am testing with 360 points per line, with 60 lines. That's a lot of snow. ;)
    * At each iteration the display must add a newline to the top, shift everything down by one line, and end by dropping the bottom line (in no particular order). This gives a nice animation affect.
    * I am representing each line by a BranchGroup containing a Shape3D constructed with a QuadArray. Each quad within the array represents a cell. So each line contains 4*360=1440 points.
    * At each iteration I generate a new object containing the above. The coordinates of each point are set to sit one line above the previous line. This BranchGroup (which contains the Shape3D of quads) is added to the scene. The last line in the display is told to detach itself from the scene.
    * I am then moving the viewer up by the distance of one line. I am doing this by setting the viewingplatform's viewplatformtransform.
    So, some questions:
    * Is this design hopelessly convoluted for Java3D?
    * Does the fact that I'm dealing with 4 * 360 * 60 = 86,400 points mean that my performance is going to be awful no matter what?
    * Does it make sense to use more individual Shape3D objects, or use other primatives (or even utility shapes like cubes)?
    * Should I move the points instead of the viewer?
    * Can anyone offer an alternative to drawing tens of thousands of little points into a 3D environment?
    As far as my performance question, I have the above working, but I'm experiencing bad screen flicker. Remember that I am adding a new Shape3D to the top, dropping one from the bottom, and moving the viewer. Is there a better way of doing this, something I should add, particular flags I should set, anything? Performance isn't completely awful, but it isn't really acceptable --the flickering is very hard on the eyes.
    Thanks for any help you can send my way!

    I am currently implementing a waterfall display using

    * Does the fact that I'm dealing with 4 * 360 * 60 =
    86,400 points mean that my performance is going to be
    awful no matter what?Well, graphically, it may not be that bad (where it in another language). But I think the real lagging is caused by the way Java 3D represents the scene, in a scene graph. So, you're asking the renderer to travel through a an object tree (branchgroup) containing 86 400 idiviudal objects to be treated seperatly... We all know that Java is a RAM and CPU monster and I think doing this may be the drop that overflows the glass (your system anyway)...
    * Does it make sense to use more individual Shape3D
    objects, or use other primatives (or even utility
    shapes like cubes)?
    * Should I move the points instead of the viewer?You're already moving the points down each time (as mentionned before). So, I dunno, maybe just moving the viewer and deleting the last line and adding the top line (the rest staying put) would be faster... I still find there's lots of objects to treat there...
    * Can anyone offer an alternative to drawing tens of
    thousands of little points into a 3D environment? Sounds like you want a 2D looking foutain. Why not just create a big board and add an animated texture to it? I can see the performance increasing by 50 gazillion just by doing this. ;o)

    Hi Abhijit,
    Thanks for reply. The problem is resolved.
    Yes, you are right, i had created the datasource in the weblogic server and also mentioned it into this location : application module > configurations > Edit > jdbc Data source
    but still it was showing the error . After that i have deployed the same project using different Jdeveloper(11.1.1.3.0)from different machine and it was successfully deployed and i got my desired webservice. I think there may be problem in Jdeveloper(11.1.1.3.0)

  • Issue with creation of ADF Table from ADF Tree selection

    Hi,
    Following is the usecase.
    I've created ParentVO & ChildVO from a single table with view criteria to filter the nodes.And then created two View links ParentToChild & ChildToChild.
    Added VOs & corresponding ViewLinks to ApplicationModule. It's got created hierarchy as Parent1->Child1->Chiled2 in Data model section of AM.So Iam done with tree creation process in Model.
    As VC can't be applied for sub levels. In order to set the VCs for sublevels, followed the below approach.
    Created a bind variable for tree. I've set the VC for both parent & child VOs in managed bean before setting the tree variable in setTree method. So now Iam able to display the required tree in UI with applying VCs.
    Now , I can select the required nodes from tree and then click on command button to display the selection list as a table.
    In order to achieve this, I tried below two options.
    1) Created separate Child VO instance (Child3) from Child VO and applied same view which applied initially. and the dragged the Child3 from Datacontrol to UI(jsff) as a table. When I run the application,it's displaying all the records from the DB table without applying VCs.
    2) Dragged the Child2 as a table on UI. When I run the application, it's displaying first record from the table without applying VC.
    But no luck in getting the required functionality.
    I've Following queries.
    a) If we update any transient attribute value for an VO instance, will it effect at VO level or only for that particular instance?
    Why because, I've created new instance of same VO. But the changes are not effecting for transient attributes in the new instance of VO.
    b) Can some one suggest on my usecase to display the selected nodes from a tree in table format?
    I tried my level best to explain the usecase. But let me know,if you have any queries on my usecase.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Issue implementing Business security profile in IDT

    Hi,
    BO 4.1 SP3
    I created a WebI Report with ADMIN privileges with 3 objects and published to Public Folder.
    Then I created a Business security profile in IDT and Denied USER1 access to ‘Display Data’ on one of the above 3 objects say Object3 (i.e. Granted ‘Create Query’ and Denied ‘Display Data’ access on that object3).
    Now when USER1 logs to WebI -> Public Folders and refresh the report, it says 'No privlilege..contact admin' message.
    Is it possible to display Certain Users to have all 3 columns and hide Object3 to USER1 in the same WebI report ?
    Appreciate if anyone can give some directions ?
    Thanks.

    I think you missed one more thing,
    IDT -> Business Layer -> Parameters -> AUTO_UPDATE_QUERY to YES
    Ref: xi4sp6_info_design_tool_en.pd Page: 225
    A user who is denied an object by a Display Data setting might refresh a report containing the denied object. You can specify what the refresh should do in this case by setting the SQL generation parameter AUTO_UPDATE_QUERY in the business layer.
    If this parameter is set to No, then refreshing the report generates an error message.
    If this parameter is set to Yes, then the denied objects are removed from the query and from any filters defined in the business layer. Data for other granted objects is retrieved and displayed to the user in a partial report.

  • Issues implementing "workflow transports"

    hi all!
    I am trying to configure a simple workflow for change requests (transport):
    In stms, the workflow engine has beend define. For the moment no QA. RFC is fine and my user has been defined as approver for all request(system, projet, number ='*').
    When an order is released the pop up appears and i can fill all the required information. Test is ok, i send the request. A message says that everything is fine, waiting for admin approval.
    But i don't recieve anything in my stms inbox. However i can see it if i use the search tool.
    I have a sap_all, do i need a special profile to do so?
    Thank your help,
    Regards,

    Edit:
    additional question: is there any way to know who is of charge of a proposal request approbation ?...
    Edited by: Julien LE GAL on Feb 25, 2009 10:54 PM

    finally the problem was because of an old rfc customizing..
    Other question: we have two environemments where we can create transport request. From the controller, transport workflows are working fine.
    From the other one, i can only send requests to the controller.
    Any idea?
