Issue in Hierarchy data upload from R/3 for info object Product Hierarchy.

Hi,
I am trying to upload the hierarchy data from R/3 system for Info Object Product Hierarchy.
Insted of business content info objects (0PRODH, 0PRODH1, 0PRODH2, 0PRODH3, 0PRODH4, 0PRODH5, 0PRODH6), we are using customized objects (ZPRODH, ZPRODH1, ZPRODH2, ZPRODH3, ZPRODH4, ZPRODH5, ZPRODH6).
In transfer rules the mapped is as specified below
Fields => Info Objects.
0ZPRODH1 => ZPRODH1
0ZPRODH2 => ZPRODH2
0ZPRODH3 => ZPRODH3
0ZPRODH4 => ZPRODH4
0ZPRODH5 => ZPRODH5
0ZPRODH6 => ZPRODH6
Now, when I schedule the Info Package, it is ending with an errors
"Node characteristic 0PRODH1 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH2 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH3 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH4 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH5 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH"
"Node characteristic 0PRODH6 is not entered as hierarchy charactersitic for ZPRODH".
when i tried to load by flat file, there is no issues. But, flat file loading is not allowed for us.
Please let me know any possible solution to handle this issue.

Hi voodi,
Insted of using the info object 0PRODH1, we should use customized info object ZPRODH1 which I added already in the external characteristic in Hierarchy.

I have a question here regarding master data extraction from hierarchies from BW info-object.
we have a info-object called as Customer which is defined in the standalone BW system. under the hierarchies for the customer we have the Channel defined.
Now I have created 2 info-objects in APO BW for Customer and Channel. channel is defined as an attribute of the customer.
I am wondering to do I extract data from the Customer info-object in standalone BW to both these charactersitics in APO BW?

Data upload from R3 to BPC using filters

We are facing a performance issue on the uploading data flow from R3 to BPC. Two steps have been set up.
Step1: R/3 --> ODS --> BW CUBE (No filters and full mode)
Step2: BW CUBE --> BPC CUBE (Standard BW upload package)
The first one (from R3 to a BW Cube) has no filters, so it loads every data and it takes too much time. However, the second one (from the Cube to BPC) has filtering options, so we can only load the data we need to (we usually use entity and time filters).
Both are executed from the BPC DataManager.
Any advice to improve the performance of the first step? Could we join the step 1 and step 2 and get the filters from the standard BW upload process using a custom process chain?
Does anybody have any experience using filters to reduce the amount of records on the data uploading from R/3 to BPC?

for example in BI data is stored as below

100000 - 12.12.10 - 400
**I'm not quite sure how you are getting the above data from infocube.Are you directly loading data from PSA to infocube with out loading data into DSO -0FIGL_O10(General ledger(New):Transaction figures) ?
To get required format of following data, no need to do any thing while laoding the data into BPC. Your BI infocube should maitain the data in below format.
GroupAcc - Date - Balance
100000 - 12.12.10 - 100 - (LC)
100000 - 12.12.10 - 100 - (TC)
100000 - 12.12.10 - 200 - (GC)
To acheive above format of data in the infocube please follow standard way of data flow given by SAP in BI Contect(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/e6/f16940c3c7bf49e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm).
Flow should be
R/3 --> PSA --> DSO -->Infocube.
In this flow its important to remember about infoobect 0CURKEY_TC in DSO.
This is always the currency key of the transaction currency; it is also filled for records with a different currency type. Without this key field, postings with different transaction currencies would be overwritten after summarization and thereby be lost.

Once you follow the standard flow, your infocube contains the requried format (LC,TC and GC )of data to load it into BPC application.

Problem in loading data from flat file to info object

Hi experts,
I am new on bw. I am trying to load data from .csv file to info object. CSV file contains two colums Mat No, Mat Name and are separated by comma and similarly Mat Name is attribute of Mat No in info object. I am doing all steps by following the book but whenever I load data into info object it is loaded in one column. I mean both Mat no and Mat name apears in Mat No column whereas Mat Name column appears empty in info object. I have changed exel file into .csv. Any one can help me sort it out.

Hi,
your flatfile should be in the form of csv ie it does not mean that in a word u seperate it with coma
create an excel file and say save as in teh file name give the name of your flatfile and in the save as type select CSV(comma delimited) from the drop down list
and then in this file enter the data as u fill in excel sheet.
After closing the file right click it and say open with wordpad then the data should appear seperated with a comma.
Try this and then revert back in case of any doubts.........
Are u loading data into BI 7.0 or 3.x

Initially default value(not constant) for this info Object value should be 'K4' in Info Package
If I set data selection value for this info object K4 it will retreive records with this selection only? how to handle

suppose as your ex. if you are having fiscalyear variant in the dataselection tab then specify K4 in the from column, again the ficalyearvariant row and click on insert duplicate row at the bottom . you will get another row . In that enter Y2 in the from column. now you can extract K4, y2 values .

SQVI Report for SAP CRM Product Hierarchy and its Product

How to create a SQVI report for generating a list for SAP CRM Product Hierarchy which should show the outputs->Level 1, level 2, level 3 and level 4 categories and its products?
I tried COMM_Hierarchy table and Comm_product but not able to achieve this requirement.
or Is there any chance of getting related tables so that I could try more for this requirement.
In which table both product id and its category Id can be found?

say in SAP CRM system, the product category is maintained in COMM_HIERARCHY as
Parent category Id->
                                Level2 Category Id->
                                                                 Level 3 Category Id->
Level 4 category Id ->
Product Id's
(I understood the link between Level 4 category id and product id with your info.) but not able to achieve the requirement fully.

Issue while creating service PR during data upload from xl

I have an issue while uploading the data from exl sheet for purchase requisition.

Purchase requisition is being created however it is not updating service details though I am using the item category as D which is nothing but service.
In bapi updated service details. Please can you help me to come out of this issue?
Also inform me what is difference between line number and package number in service line item details.
I am passing the item number to both fields like line number and package number.

Va31 shedule line agreement data upload from flat file

Hi abapers
I have to upload some data (va31) from flat file to my database (shedule line agreement data) I am using user exit for it...Cant get which user exit will solve the purpose and where to check it from..I tried using SDTRM001 , meeta001 and and the va45A series but its not working. I used break point on these user exits but its not stoping at break point.
Can any one help me where to find which user exit will work in this case?

Issues in mass data Upload

Hi All,
        Hope you all are doing fine.
        I have to do master data upload for my next project. I have gone through LSMW, DX-WB, Recording etc. and now I am quite comfortable with all of these.
        As i have tested these tools for maximum 8-10 records, I am interested in hearing from you all, your experiences regarding actual data upload where volume is high and data may be difficult to verify manualy. Particularly I am interested in how to make upload faster,Error free,consistent(No record being posted twice etc.)

Data upload from third party system to GRT table.

Hello,
Can you please let me know how we can upload payroll data from a legacy system (to be more clear, how to upload data that we receive from a third party system) into GRT table.
Note:The file should be tab delimited text file.
As of now, i figured out 2 FMs which I thought can be used.....BAPI_EXTPAYROLL_INSERT_OUT and BAPI_EXTPAYROLL_INSERT_LEGACY.
Please let me know the steps to upload the same (start to end). A code snippet will be of much help to me.

Are you looking for loading your legacy payroll data into SAP ?
SAP have a standard tables (T588B & T588C) that can be used along with standard schema (XLK0) for updating payroll results.
They also have a utility program to upload data into T588B & C.
Search for Legacy Data Transfer in IMG and yo will find the relevant steps.

How to load 3.x hierarchy data source from a certain level ?

I have an old 3.x hierarchy data souce which has a structure like below :
　　　Level 0 : root node
              Level 1: Product Category
                  Level 2: Product Line
                      Level 3: Product
                          Level 4 : Product Version
each level has independent infoobject for it.
The hierarchy was initially constructed for the infoobject on the level 4 'Product Version'.
Now here comes anther requriement, we also want to have a hierarchy for 'Product' and try to reuse the datasource.
So the question is , is it possible to extract from the same data source, while just update the hierarchy for 'Product ' starting from the level 3 (up to level 0)?
PS: i can't migrate the data souce to 7.X, because the source system doesn't support.
I hope I made my question clearly.

Finally I solved this problem myself.
there are many mays if you want to realize the requirement, only if you change your way of thinking, don't be stuck your mind with the thought we have to use the original data source coming from the source system.
I'd like to introduce 2 ways I am thinking of:
1. use the SAP standard program 'Z_SAP_HIERARCHY_DOWNLOAD' to save the hierarchy as a .csv file, then you can refer to http://scn.sap.com/community/data-warehousing/bw/blog/2012/01/08/bw-730-hierarchy-loading-becomes-easier-with-the-help-of-new-framework
however this didn't work for me, because the program might be outdated in my working environment BW7.4, though I did some bugfix for this program , the output file seems with some errors.
2. since the hierarchy for the 4th level infoobject has been successfully updated in my case, we can use it as the data provider directly . Here is the general dataflow : 4th level infoobject hierarchy -> DSO -> target infoobject hierarchy (3rd level infoobject) .
for this DSO strucure, you should also refer to the link above, the structure is just like the EXCEL file provided. but you should be aware of adding external characteristics in the data fields of your DSO if there is external characteristics in your hierarchy.
in the transformation of 'source infoobject hierarchy' , you should select 'hierarchy (one segment)' as the subtype of hierarchy.
in the transoformation of 'DSO -> target infoobject' , you should map the source and target carefully , especially for the segment 'Structure' , you should make sure the field 0H_HIERNODE and the external chars. have proper value filled.

Init Data Upload from ODS to Info cube

Hi,
When i am trying to upload the date from ODS to info cube using initial upload option in info package, i am not able to see the selection option fields.
Whereas using the same ODS & info cube, if i am trying to change the option to full upload in info package, i am getting all the selection fields.
what could be the reason for the same.

Let me explain u the complete scenario
1) we have an existing ODS which populates an info cube on daily basis (delta upload)
2) we have created a new info cube, which fetch the data from the same ODS. that means 2 info cubes which are getting populated from one ODS.
3) now when we have tried to initialize the new info cube from the existing ODS, it asked us to delete the initialize upload options "scheduler - initialize option for the system". & we have done the same. but by doing this, ODS has removed the option of delta upload from old info cube upload info package && new info cube initial upload is not dislaying any of selection fields..
4) now, i have a query
- how can i activate delta on old info cube (without losing any data)
- how to upload data in new info cube with selection fields and start delta

TT Issue "9994 Loading data store from disk into RAM in progress"

Getting this strange issue. Sometimes (2-3 times a day) TT just becomes unavailable and when trying to connect to it getting "9994 Loading data store from disk into RAM in progress".
Any advise on what the root cause for this behavior might be?

In all likelihood this is exactly what it sounds like - your datastore is being reloaded from disk into memory. Connections can't be completed until the datastore has gone through recovery and is fully in-memory. You need to look back through your ttmesg.log files and find out why the datastore was taken out of memory in the first place. Possibly there's been a crash and it has been invalidated, meaning it needs to be recovered from the checkpoint files and transaction logs. Or maybe there were no user connections and it was taken out of memory and checkpointed to disk in a normal, controlled fashion. The ttmesg.log files will tell you what happened.

Accomodating date and time in a single Info object

We are getting an R/3 field(2 fields) as "YYYY.MM.DD HH:MM:SS". And we have mapped that fields to a Two IO (CHAR).Data is getting loaded fine,but not getting it in the same format (with required DOTS and COLONS).Is there any routine that I can write for this IO.If any one have it ,please pass it on.
The two info objects are : ZCREATE & CHANGEDAT are mapped to "created_at" & "changed_at".
Please tell me step by step code.
Points wil be assured.
