Issue in Updating Address Of a BP

Hi
I am creating a business partner using a BAPI BAPI_BUPA_FS_CREATE_FROM_DATA and then performing commit to perform all database commits .
In the same routine i am then updating the address with some data ,but the same is not happening i.e though the BP get created there are some database entries which are not created inspite of a commit and thus my updation fails(Since the records are not created ).
Has anyone encountered any such issue?If yes please revert back.

Hi Ajithabh,
Perform the commit only once at the end that is after creation and after updating the address. Also please check if you are using the module 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT' to commit your changes to databases. normal commit work statement should not be used.
Also in case if any error thrown by BAPI through the return parameter a rollback should be done using BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK. Check if this helps.

I have an issue w/ updating addresses. The form throws the PER-52473 error. The thing is- my client never assigned primary addresses in the system. Thus, we need to update the data accordingly. I have about 4 addresses per person. From metalink, I assumed all I needed to do was to end-date 3 of them, and flag one as PRIMARY. This still fails. Maybe I am missing something? Is there another step? Another table?
My question- how do I make this error go away. I have been playing around with end-dates and primary flags, over lapping and non-overlapping dates, and no luck. Any assistance would be great. Thanks.

Looks like a bug.
Per_Addreses is a Dated table and not a date-track table.
So you can still have -

Why can't you create your latest address(primary) also effective employee start_date ?
As of system date your primary will be the one you can refer in reports/processes. So there will be no harm.
Where exactly are you using the addresses ?
Can you not have overlapping addresses ?

Does the 10.5.7 update address command+f finder search issues?

Does the 10.5.7 update address command+f finder search issues?
Search has been horrible under 10.5 in that it does not reliably find FOLDERS on network drives, only file names.
Even when I am looking directly at a folder and I search for it will not appear in the command+f window.
Also the stupidity of not allowing a specific search location.
Has this been addressed? I have, at any given time, 3-4 mounted servers.
I do not have a choice now to search a specific hard drive.
10.4.11 gave me the option under "OTHERS" to select a specific place to search.
The only choice I have in 10.5.2 is "SHARED". Which searches all drives when I only want to search one. Nor do I have a choice of searching just one of my two internal drives.
I talked with Chris in apple engineering several months ago, who acknowledged that search problems are a known issue under 10.5 and this was being addressed but have not heard any more. I don't want to download an update unless these broken search issues have been fixed. This is a production machine and I cannot have downtime in the Dept.

IDoc issue - update address data vendor

We make use of iDocs to interface our vendor master data from an AS/400 system to SAP ERP.
But we now have an issue with the address data updates of the vendor.
If we check the vendor with XK03 - Environment - Field Changes:
Date: 12/02/2010
Field: City
New: LOUISVILLE KY 40290-1076
Old: CINCINNATI OH 45274-0124
But in XK03 the field city still contains: CINCINNATI OH 45274-0124 (and not the new updated city)
Table LFA1:
LFA1-ORT01: LOUISVILLE KY 40290-1076
LFA1-MCOD3: LOUISVILLE KY 40290-1076
Table ADRC:
ADRC-CITY1: CINCINNATI OH 45274-0124
ADRC-MC_CITY1: CINCINNATI OH 45274-0124
If we check WE05 ---> green flag, so no error while updating vendor master data (+ correct city is in E1LFA1M)
This is not always an issue - so not all vendors have this issue. If we reinterface the same vendor later, the address data is upated without any issue.
How can this be solved?

Check if there is some custom code concerned or not.
If not, check sap notes, then ask sap support to help you solve the issue.
Otherwise custom code may handle incorrectly something, but I can't tell you what!

Lumia 810 (T-mobile) - SD card issue, any updates?

As I've found by searching around, it seems like the new Nokia Windows 8 phones have issues when using Class 10 micro-SD cards. I'm using a 32GB Aopen Class 10 micro-SD card in my Lumia 810, and I'm experiencing the following issues:
*Attempting to sync music to my phone's SD card using the Sync App will cause the phone to reboot itself during file copy. If I keep trying, I can get many of the files synchronized, but eventually it will crash and reboot every time a copy is initiated.
*Using the video camera, videos recorded to the SD card will skip when playing back. When playing the videos on a PC, the skips are still there, which means they were recorded with skips.
It almost seems like the issues are related to file writes, as I've had no music playback issues. Also, I have the Xbox Music Streaming service, and I have downloaded several GBs of music to the SD card using the app on the phone itself. I recall one issue where the Xbox music app became unresponsive, and I had to reboot the phone, but other than that one incident, all the other files have been stored correctly and work fine.
I'd really love to know if there has been any updates on this from Nokia or Microsoft. While certainly not a deal-breaker for me, I'd like to know if the issue is being addressed, or if I should start shopping for an 8GB class 2 or class 4 card, if that is all that will be compatible. Officially, I know that my card is supported, but in practice, it doesn't work correctly.

I am also having this same issue with my Lumia 810! I have a 64gb Class 10 microsd card. When I record video to the SD card, the resulting recording skips, even skipping in the same spots when played back on a pc. However, if I record video to the phone's internal memory, there is no skipping on the recordings. This tells me that there is an issue with the Lumia 810 writing to the SD card. My brother's Lumia 810 has the same issue with yet another type of microsd card.
Any updates on this issue yet?

Can't accurately update Address Book from LinkedIn vCard

Hi everybody,
Unlike when I used Outlook for Windows, I have had trouble updating Address Book with LinkedIn vCards. If a contact leaves one company for another and I try to update his information, the new company name and title end up being put into the notes field in Address Book. I asked LinkedIn this and got the following reply:
Thanks for reaching out to us - Sorry to hear that importing your contacts isn't working.
Unfortunately, this feature works best with Windows products, like Outlook and was not designed for use with Apple products.
I find this unacceptable and would love any suggestions as to a plugin or extension to make this work.

I'm not sure if this will help.
I have saved some sheets in csv format from Excel, but it seems that the import function from the address book doesn't accept the csv extension.
Saving the data in a txt file did solve the issue.
Make sure that your file extension is .txt and that the data is tab of semicolon delimited.

Dhcpcd issues when updating my pacman

I have read the wiki, and know that we could get the issues with filesystem. However I can't get this to work correctly when doing pacman -Syu. Using the issue with the dhcpcd I tried to look for similar packages that own those files.

As for others experiencing this - no, that is not the case. Something has gone wrong on your system. Either you installed dhcpcd manually circumventing pacman, or your package database was corrupted.

Updating Address changes

Iam developing a new transaction where an user can change delivery even after GI has peen posted(std.SAP doesn't allow this).
In this , when an user wants to update address of the partners i do not want t change master data.
i want to create a new adr. number and store the address in that for the particular KUNNR.

Sanjay is right. I was about to say the same thing. Why didn't they consider reversing the PGI, make the changes and then redo the PGI. Or even better, why don't you do it in your custom transaction like this. The end user doesn't to know about it. Only that they will see additional documents in the document flow.
I am still wondering how anyone agreed to this. Are you not under any strict auditing regime? This way of direct database table updates is the very first thing that ticks off the auditors. It raises a very big red flag with them.
Even if you are using it in a limited sense, using just SD, are you sure you have these changes under control? Where does the transactions stop in SAP. Do they go to SD billing and stop there or do they go further to FI? Are you sure changing the address does not impact business? What if some of those changes require redetermining transportation routing ir new payment terms or freight charges, or changes to the delivery time, now that the address is in Hawaii instead of Halifax?
Even the packing/unpacking, how are doing this? Are you not facing any issues with the inventory? Are you not having issues with your packing material? This must a lot complicated transaction than the VL02N itself. What controls do you have in place that it wont be misused or mishandled by a user?
Even if someone did it this way does not mean that we should support it. See if your client sees the validity of this argument and try to do what Sanjay has said.
I don't think there is any realistic solution to it if you still have to do it this way.

Has anyone had an issue with group addresses in Mail after installing Mavericks? Both my MBP-15 and my Mac Pro stopped automatically filling in the addresses when I typed the name of the group that I have in Contacts, after updating to Mavericks. Prior to updating they worked just fine.

Always stuck at Updating Address Book

We are in a migration process from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013, now users WHO are migrated to Exchange 2013 cannot download address book manually, stays on processing and bar never starts at all, waited for 2 hours but the same. The other thing is that
at the bottom of Outlook it's always like this "ALL FOLDERS ARE UP TO DATE, UPDATING ADDRESS BOOK. CONNECTED TO: MICROSOFT EXCHANGE" and this is for all users that have been migrated to Exchange 2013. Did I miss some configuration somewhere for the
address book. Where can I start to troubleshoot this issue.

According to your further description, I noticed that there is no Arbitration mailbox which is responsible for OAB generation in your Exchange server.
Please run the following command to check all Arbitration mailboxes:

If the mailbox "SystemMailbox bb558c35-97f1-4cb9-8ff7-d53741dc928c" is listed here, we can enable OABGen for it:
Set-Mailbox -Arbitration -Identity "SystemMailbox{bb558c35-97f1-4cb9-8ff7-d53741dc928c}" -OABGen $true
Alternatively, we can create a new organization mailbox for OAB generation:

I have an issue with the address browser in mail in Yosemite

I am using IOS 10.10.1 now on an iMac and have discovered an issue with the address browser in mail.
Previously in my pending to send email toolbar there was a contacts icon which I clicked on to display my contacts list. I could hold down the Command button and select as many contacts I wanted (often up to 100), then select the field to send (to, ccc, bcc) and the contact would appear.
Now, I have to click the + sign at the end of the field line, and select recipients one at a time. Not only that, but I have to click twice to get to the email address, once on the name and then the email address drops down under the name and then I click on the email address. When I do that the drop down box disappears and the recipient's email address goes to the field. I have tried all combinations of buttons to be able to choose multiple addresses but haven't found the right one yet.
An Apple Support guy told me to open my regular Address book, and hold down the command button to choose multiple recipients then drag them to the field on my already opened send email.
This is one way around the issue (which wasn't an issue in Mavericks) but where some recipients have two or more email addresses listed in my contacts it means I have to manually go through the finished list on my emails to make sure the most desired one was selected. What a pain.
Also, previously, where I was sending out many emails and wanted to stop say half way down my list, and send, I could come back to that list for the next email and see where I'd got up to.
I don't want to make groups because my recipients vary depending on what I am sending so my lists change constantly.
Any suggestions?
Last point...who archives? On my regular email page I now have the Archive icon to the left of my Delete icon which I would prefer was to the left, first in the line as this is the icon I use mostly. With Folders, my Sent and Trash lists, who needs to archive?

I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be.

Syncing issues after updating to 10.3.1.55

After upgrading to itunes 10.3.1.55, today, it no longer recognizes my iPhone 4. I plug it in, the iPhone makes its normal syncing noice. I get a prompt, like always about it recognizing the camera and how i want to handle it. I cancel it, as usual, and then it never shows up in iTunes. I close itunes, connect my phone and it does not start itunes as it normally should. No error messages, just no response. Can anyone help with ideas?

I had the same issue, after updating to 10.3.1.55 it would error out saying something along the lines of not being able to read the catalog or something. I think the error even states do a restore to fix it. Last night that is what I did, clicked restore and then had it transfer all my items back. I'm glad I had just synced my phone prior to the update so the restore was really current.

Update address-independent telehpone of BP

We need to change address-independent telephone numbers of business partner.
When such record already exists (telephone numbers are maintained), this can be done using function module 'BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE' with TELEFONDATANONADDRESS.
However, when address-independent telephone record does not exist (all telephone numbers are empty) - BAPI return warning 'BAPIADTEL was not found' and BP is not updated.
We have found out that address-dependent data is updated with two separate functions: 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD' and 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE', but we have not been able to find out similar ADD function for address-independent records.
Does anyone know how to update address-independent records (telephone, in this case) via ADD method?

I dont have a ready code right now.
Firstly, the module BUPA_CENTRAL_GET_DETAIL can be used to get all the details of the address independent communications.
Later for delete:
BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE : For example say telephone data has to be filled.
The corrsponding cons number has to be filled in 'IT_ADTEL_ADDR_IND' and the corresponding flag set in IT_ADTEL_ADDR_IND_X and also the update flag should be set to 'D'. In this way the telephone number can be deleted.
For restricitng the validity, the corresponding valid from and valid to fields can be updated accordingly in the same way.

For updation of address you can use
BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE.
I guess you cannot update a role . You can only add new roles with BAPI_BUPA_ROLE_ADD .
One more thing in address updation, Whatever fields are there in import parameter ( Address) you can update them even if they are not present in database.
But in case of Tables( Communication details) fields you can only update if the values are existing in database.
