Hi All,
i am geeting one issue in webadi where in i have created 1 lov for a webadi column using the below API.

but when i downloaded the spreadhsheet and tried to open the lov pertaining to the same column, I am not getting yes no value. Although i am getting 2 records but both are coming as Null.
Please suggest.

Reg : Cross browser issue while handling LOV event on KeyFlexFeild

We are encountering issues on R12.0.6, JDev 120Rup6.
We have the following test case and code changes.
Requirement:
We have OA page where we have one KeyFlexFeild item and a normal LOV. Page items are part of one AM and LOV is in another AM.
The requirement was to make LOV dependent on keyFlexfeild. Test case is mentioned as per following flow.
1.     User changes cost center segment of Accounting Flex(Key flex) using Cost center LOV.
2.     Another LOV in the same page should be dependent on new value of cost center as modified in step 1.
Solution Implemented:
Describing in the 3 steps
1) Here the KeyFlexFeild is expense account. Whenever User changes any segment, we handle
‘lovValidate’ and ‘lovUpdate’ events on KeyFlexFeild in processFormRequest of controller.
2) Retrieve the value of cost center segment using getSegmentsQualifiedBy(), Update corresponding VO attribute of the LOV query parameter.
3) Forward the request to current page so that LOV will have modified value with updated query.
4) Forwarding to current page is must because LOV is built with another AM and will loaded only when page is built.
Issue:
This works fine on internet explorer. When trying to run the same in Mozilla we have following issue
1) User modifies one of the segments of expense account and make a tab – out
2) Now the page refresh happens
3) Now in the same page no other LOV or no other button works. He can’t click on any button for submit or cancel.
LOVs will not open even after clicking on it.

Issue in Dependant LOV

Hi ,
I have two lovs in a table region
Say Department and Employee, Employee LOV is dependant on department lov ( normal depndant lov's). While I am creating the records it is working fine. But i have another option to update. If I click on that button records became updatable state, issue is But if i want to change the employee without changing the department, it is showing the complete employee list, if i go to department field and do some operations there and come to employee it is working fine. How can i solvethis issue?

Its weird!! Did you try raising an exception in the LOV window when there is no value found in the LOV?? Moreover, give a try resetting VO and clearing cache before executing the VO relating to the LOV

Issue in Depandant Lov

Hi All,
For creating depandant LOV , I got input from Oracle forum as well as from Devguide.
I am facing one issue now .
We have a requirement in OAF to create one LOV dependant on the value in another value in the same region.
For Example We have an employee role search screen where we can search (based on role) update and create roles for employees. In the screen we have 3 columns Role, Department and Employee. Employee and department are Lov input Items. If user select a department from the department lov the employee lov must show only the Employees from that department. In case of update as well , if user trying to update an employee (and not changing the department) the lov must show only the employees belong to the particular department.
We have tried the option like creating one more lov map for department and set the Lov region item as Dept id and return item as FormId ( new formvalue created – not based on VO) and create one lov map in employee item and give criteria item as FormId Lov region Item as Dept id. But it is not working, I have created one controller for employee lov region but that option also does not works. Also tried to give different combination of values for Programmatic Query and Required property. But none of the option worked.
While trying this option When i am trying to save (commit) the page, I am getting one error saying

XXmasterVO1 - is the main VO of the search screen
Each Time lov is populating as earlier. Vo Query does not have any WHERE clause.

Issue using Super LOV within Skillbuilders Modal page

Hi,
I have an app that has an Interactive Report which opens a form using the Skillbuilders Modal page when you click Create button. Within the Modal Page I have a few items that are using the Skillbuilders Super LOV. It all initially works great but when my validations fire and there are any errors displayed, the Super LOVs stop working. So it won't allow user to search using the LOV.

Issue with Popup LOV field not clearing out "default" value

I am using APEX 4.0 & Oracle 10g
I have a form that displays a default value on a "Popup LOV" field (say P1_POPUP) when the Form is initially displayed to the user. The default value is part of the Popup LOV list of values. If the field is "manually cleared" *i.e. I clear the default value by backspacing and don't touch the LOV) and I Refresh (submit) the form (REFRESH button to display the same Form again), the default value is still displayed.
In Post Processing, I debugged the value of P1_POPUP to see if holds the default value and yes it does. I was expecting no value in P1_POPUP.
Is this an APEX standard behavior?
Any way how I can get rid of this value on an manually clearing action of this Pop Up field?

I apologize, the default value was NULL indeed. However, it seems like I may need to manually clear this value so that it will not be displayed.

Issue with a lov

Hi,
i have a lov called amt_tag which picks up the value form the record group query(query is based on database tables). when i run this query in sql prompt or with the help of pl/sql editor it gives me the result within seconds.....but when i try to click the LOV(based on this query) in my Forms application......the lov pops up after 7-8 minutes......
my question is has it got something to do with tuning the select clause(if yes, the query should actually take tha same time when it is run independently...which is not the case)?
or the structure of the tablespace also matters?
for the info i'm using: 10g version and forms 6i version.
please help

Issue in retrieving lovs

I have enabled delegated search for Lovs in the universe
And when I trying to search in the Lovs I am getting the following error in the report viewer
Error:'undefined' is null or not an object.
But when I am trying to do that in the edit mode everything works good.

Issue about dynamic lov

I want to use dynamic lov for parameter. when editing this parameter, I select "dynamic" for lov, "account_id" for value. but no list of value for this parameter in the parameter dialogue. My data source is oracle stored procedure.

when you create the parameter you are selecting DYNAMIC, then you select the field to pull from
then you place the parameters in the record selection correct?
make sure you lov doesnt change when data is entered, they do not update themselves and require daily maintenance.
when you run your report does the value you are looking for show up, it will only display if it is in the dataset.

Refresh issue in LOV Switcher

Guys,
I facing a issue from LOV Switcher.
Let me explain the scenario:
I have search page (SearchPage.jsff), i have created page (CreateEditPage.jsff).
CreatePage.jsff has a LOV (Lov is implemented using LOV swither, displays either LOV 1 or LOV2 depnding on the attribute in the viewobject)
1. I navigate from SearchPage.jsff to CreateEditPage.jsff. As per the logic, Lov 1 is displayed. (as expected)
2. Now am back to SearchPage.jsff, and again navigate to CreateEditPage.jsff. As per the logic LOV 2 is displayed. (as expected)
3. Now am back to SearchPage.jsff, and again navigate to CreateEditPage.jsff. As per the logc, LOV 1 should be displayed, but it is displaying Lov 2. (when i refresh the page using F-5, the proper LOV is displayed).
There seems to be some issue with the LOV refresh.
Anybody faced similar issue??

Issue in LOV Region in query region

Hi ,
I hava a query region with autocustomization true, include simple panel=true initial pane: simple
In search field i add a field of User Id LOV and attached the vo. UseridLOV :
set search allowed true
map with table values.
Issue is : IN LOV region of User Id when i click go it shows all records . But if i search a value with A% it shows no records eventhough it is having records starts with A.
Why is it happening...Anybody help me.

I have tested my lov it is working fine .Sometimes LOV doesn't work ,can you please remove and recreate lOV and add to your userid field

Performance issue if lots of LOVs

Hi,
we have htmldb 1.5 installed in which we have several workspaces. One of the workspaces hosts several (about 20 ) applications. One of the applications has 40-50 LOVs. If I log into the workspace with ADMIN user and navigate to the Builder and choose the application which has lots of LOVs and try to click the LOVs tab it first hangs for ages and finally errors with page not found. This warning appears into the apache error_log:
mod_plsql: Long running URL [pls/grp/f] timed out
Can you please advice on any steps we could do to improve performance on LOV admin page. Overall performance with other applications and htmldb in general is fine. We only have issue with this one application which has large number of LOVs. Can you also advice if it is possible to remove LOVs by removing them directly from the htmldb tables as we are not able to remove through htmldb website.

thanks for looking into this thread!
This issue was caused by too small buffer cache in the database.
Db_cache_size was set to bigger value and few other parameters
adjusted. This fixed the issue with the LOVs screen.

Reporting Service issues without service and land line access?

Since Verizon makes it extremely difficult to report poor coverage, I figured I would just place this information online in hopes of an agent reading and reporting the problem.
There is little to no Verizon coverage of all types (4g3g/1x) over pretty much the entire campus of the Illinois College in Jacksonville Illinois which is about 2 miles off I72 and about 20 miles west of Springfield Illinois. Actually the entire community has poor service from Verizon yet US Cellular and AT&T seem to rock the area with full 4G. From talking to students and faculty this is a long known problem and in many spots there is absolutely zero voice coverage, forget about data from Verizon. We have *228’d the phone many times out by I72 and my dad and mom’s Android 3g/4g smart phones phones do not work at all either.
It seems that this is known by Verizon, as I have seen coverage problem reports on the web dating back to 2008 regarding this area in the Verizon forums. Certainly Verizon can do something to remedy this, especially being so close to a major Interstate and when other carriers have great service in the same area, come on AT& T is horrible across 70% of Illinois yet they work in Jacksonville, now that is embarrassing. It would be nice to actually be able to let my daughter use her phone even forgetting about data but come “cover 97% of the people” I know that is not true. Let's go Verizon, my friends on AT&T and US Cellular and Sprint all get better service (they can make calls, at least)... on Verizon we can't do anything even with roaming enabled!
This forum says call customer service 1-800-922-0204 from landline or *611 but that doesn't work for my daughter and I'm in mexico this week. There has got to be an online way to report issues?

Would love too, but family has Verizon in several states including other college towns Tempe AZ, Macomb Illinois, Jacksonville Illinois and home in Rockford IL we have used Verizon for years.
If daughter changes companies just for Jacksonville Ill, do we all change?
Remember AT&T has horrible coverage in most of illinois yet they rock in a dinky little college town in south central Illinois, go figure. Verizon says they cover 97% of the nation and their maps are quite clear about the areas they cover including extended coverage. Verizon is misleading people as although extended does mean covered by someone else it does be coverage is supposed to exist. Verizon can not have it both ways and frankly, family cannot have a bunch of different plans and I really want to avoid switching everyone. When I get back in the US I'll call the 800 number and see what can be done for daughter but Verizon should have chat support not just chat sales so stuff can be done online.e would think Verizon would want to know where people have coverage issues..

Iphone 5 issues that hopefully have an easy solution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got the iphone 5 about 6 months ago and have had wifi reception problems the entire time. I spend most of my time in my entertainment room (studio) which is on the opposite end of the house from the router. I have an imac, an apple tv2, an ipad, and (2) iphone 4 all using the same wifi and housed in this same room. They all have no problem picking up the signal and staying connected. My wife and her son both have iphone 4S and never lose connection when they are in my room. It's very frustrating because I was so excited about being able to mirror my phone through the apple tv and hd tv. I own an AT&T iphone 4 and a Verizon iphone 4 that aren't capable of mirroring. I have the original ipad which isn't capable of mirroring. My wife's 4S and her son's 4S are both capable and do it with ease but it's their phones, not mine. So I stayed patient knowing I would get the next upgrade and it was just a matter of time. Wrong. Between 5 phones, a desktop, a tablet, apple tv, PS3......My iphone 5 was the only one that won't connect. I am not talking about it loses the signal or cuts in and out, I am saying you have to walk halfway down the hall to even get it to detect the signal in the first place. Not a chance in **** of it actually staying connected to it. I talked to Apple Support about the problem and asked if the iphone 5 had a weaker antenna or if there was a setting that needed to be adjusted. They were polite to me but in so many words let me know that my assessment was ridiculous and news to them. Well okay, no big deal, I just chalked it up as that maybe I got a dud this time as far as the antenna goes. Then, about a week ago, I dropped the phone and shattered the front glass and lcd. Luckily I had insurance and was able to get a brand new replacement. The problem is the antenna reception is exactly the same. So this was not an isolated incident and I wasn't crazy for asking about it. I don't see how they haven't received tons of complaints about this issue. I love Apple products and probably just expect perfection because I have never had any major problems with any of my Apple devices. But it is an unpleasant surprise that the newer model takes several steps back on such an important feature. Sorry for the rant and I remain positive that this issue can be addressed, if it hasn't already.
P.S.....The iphone 5 that I got two days ago has an awesome new feature. If you are using the phone for an actual phone call, the person you are talking to can't be heard whatsoever. If you can get them to talk really loudly and repeat themselves at least three times, you will have a greater chance of comprehending the purpose of the call.

Hey braswell4AU: I have a similar issue. I purchased 2 iPhone 5's the first day they came out. Black 64gb for myself and white 32gb for my wife. She is having somewhat the same issues as you have. Wifi is weak and keeps dropping the signal, and also her phone almost never has LTE. And we are in a very strong Verizon LTE area in north Los Angeles county. My phone has never had any signal issues, wifi or LTE. I have been researching the issue to no avail. I though maybe the white with the brushed alluminum may cause signal issues, but haven't found anything on that and posts about the black one haven't problems blew that theory up.
    I have also changed the SIM card and the phone itself and still the same problem. I saw a post about someone getting their phone swapped out and the apple rep told him not to restore the phone, but to just set it up as new. I have yet to try it, gonna try this weekend.. But it makes sense! I, like you have 6 apple devices (2 iPhone 5's, 2 iPhone 4's apple tv3, and the ipad3) and have no issues running all my devices via router.
     So I am thinking about the history of the restores and backups and my wife is the only one that went from the 4 to the 5.. Every other device was setup as new. So my theory is that he iphone 5 has issues when you restore from previous backups.. Maybe something a little different from the backups of the previous models create issues in the iPhone 5's?
     Like I said, I'm going to give it a shot this weekend and see what happens. If you get a chance to try this before, please let me know if it works and if I try before you I will update you.
