Issue using spry regions in spry tabbed content
I am having a slight issue with making a slideshow in a spry tabbed panel set. I have tested my XML used for the slideshow in a basic blank page, where I created the spry source and detail regions, and it loads fine. When you click on the thumbnail, the detail region loads the image. But when I place the slideshow in my websites page, it is inside a spry tabbed panel set. Where it just doesn't seem to want to work.
Has anyone had this issue?
I posted a copy of the page at the link below. The slideshow is under the portfolio tab

Thanks

Hi,
On the main forum page you will have read the following.

ERROR: spry:region or spry:detailregion attribute has no data set!
here's the basics...
i'm running fusebox for php (if that makes any difference)
i'm also reusing the same gallery for multiple fuseactions,
and using my circuit.xml file to set the var $gallery
depending on which fuseaction has been called.
the photos already exist in a database and full size and
thumbs have already been created by imagemagick
i plan on writing a script that uses imagemagick to get the
dimensions of the imagefiles and saves them to four respective new
columns in my db table (so i hope the problem isn't related to the
height attributes not being set in my xml.... let's hope it's
somthing else, ok?)
i'm creating my datasets like this
quote:
var dsGallery = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("/index.php",
"gallery", { method: "POST", postData: "do=m.get<?php echo
$gallery ?>Gallery", headers: { "Content-Type": "text/xml" });
var dsPhotos = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("/index.php",
"gallery/photos/photo", { method: "POST", postData:
"do=m.get<?php echo $gallery ?>Gallery", headers: {
"Content-Type": "text/xml"});
the output xml is perfect... here's an example
http://www.inkincnewyork.com/index.php?do=m.getFlashGallery
since i'm reusing the gallery, and have no need for the
dsGalleries related functionality i did this.
using the long way of referencing each piece of data, just to
make sure it's all kosher
quote:

but i am now getting this error
spry:region or spry:detailregion attribute has no data set!
for each XMLDataSet
anyone have any ideas?A few things I noticed when looking at your sample source
above:
The "Content-Type" should be the type for the post data, not
what you expect to get back. So in your case, you should be using:
"Content-Type": "application/x-www-form-urlencoded";
which is the default type so you don't really have to pass it
to the constructor unless you are posting something other than that
type.
Next, your {ds_RowID} data references are missing the data
set prefix. If you use more than one data set for a given region,
you need to use the prefix to make sure you are getting the
ds_RowID from the correct data set.
The error: "spry:region or spry:detailregion attribute has no
data set!" tells me that the data sets are not defined at the time
Spry first processes the region. Are your data sets being created
in a script tag in the head? Or are you creating them in some
function that gets fired off at a specific time?

Spry Regions and Selection of First Element
I've done a little work with spry regions and am currently struggling with how to interact with the generated content via Javascript.
Specifically (I'm not using a Spry DataGrid BTW) I'm trying to do something like document.getElementById("st").focus(); on the first anchor in the returned dataset. I haven't put the ID in yet because I'm not sure exactly what to use (maybe @id) but how to capture the first one for the reference in the final .focus() call.
Anybody done this before?

Execute code after Spry region redrawn / added to DOM
Hi,
I'm integrating my Spry event data with a YUI calendar.
Everything is working and event dates are highlighted on the YUI calendar. There is one last thing I wish to do which is to update the YUI calendar with a Spry Tooltip. The div regions for the tooltip text are generated dynamically by via a Spry repeating region. What I am failing to do is attach the tooltips to the YUI calendar after the Spry repeating region has been added to the docuement DOM. So the Spry Tooltip function cannot find the ID of the tooltips.
I have a dataset observer "onpostload" which seems to fire when the data is loaded but before the document dom has been updated by Spry. How can I ensure I wait for Spry to update the region and hence DOM with the new data before triggering the tooltip code?
Cheers
PhilYou got different kind of observers in Spry Data.
- Dataset observers:
datasetname.addObserver( observer )
- Spry Region Observers:
Spry.Data.Region.addObserver( 'region-id', observer );
The dataset observers send out notifications when there is a event happening inside the Spry Data Sets. The one you mentioned is part of this (onPostLoad). These are great to monitor your data changes, but in your case. You don't want to use these.
The Spry region observers respond to events that are happening in side the region. For example onPreUpdate, this event is called when the region is about to generate / insert new markup in to your region. But you also got the onPostUpdate. This is the observer you are looking for, it gets called once the region has re-generated its code / html. It gets fired directly after the new HTML has been inserted.
Small note about the region observers, these require a id= attribute. This id attribute must be placed on the same element as the spry:region. To learn, and read more about the observers i would like to referrer you to this article:
Data Set and Region Overview
Its rather large, but using the browser build in find function you should be able to locate the sections about the observers
Hopes this helps, -
Editing spry tab content using adobe contribute 4
Hi Everyone,
We have used Sprytabs for different tabs section for there respective pages.
We are using Contribute CS4 for editing spry tabs content, But after study I have figured that we can't edit
sprytabs using Contribue CS4
Is there any way in contribute that we can edit Spry tab content in contribue CS4
Thanks in advance!

Change text "link" color only in Spry Tab content area
I need to have multiple text link colors in my site for light
and dark background colors. The only regions in my site that have a
white background are in the Spry Tab Panel content area. I can't
figure out how to change the text color for text links in the spry
content only. I tried to add a:link ..etc... to the style sheet,
but it did not effect anything
(I also need to clean my style sheet (s). But that comes
next.

How do I display on-the-fly generated XML on a web page using DW CS4 Spry regions?
On a main web page I'm trying to display formatted data from an ASP page that generates XML on-the-fly from a query.
When I run the ASP page from the browser, the XML formatting of the data works. But when I run the main web page, the data doesn't display.
I'm using DW CS4 Spry regionsto display the data on the main page from the XML data generated by the ASP page. Here's the main page code:

With this code on the main page, The region flashes the table column header names
and the code as written for the spry repeat; then instantly disappears from the screen.

PHP Form in Spry Tabbed Content Div
I have placed some PHP forms inside some Spry Tabbed Content
divs. When the forms are submitted, the page reloads with the
default tabbed content displayed instead of the tab where the form
is. If I click to the tab with the form, I can see the information
PHP properly returned.
Does anybody know how to make the Spry Tabbed Content script
return to the tab that had focus when a PHP form is submitted
instead of the default tab?
Thanks in advance for any advice.Hi,

Ben -
I am using SPRY tabs to display static content. I have 4
tabs. When the page loads the content on all 4 tabs shows up one
below the other.
Could anybody suggest how I can stop that. The content for
first tab should only show up on page load.
Other tab content should load when that tab is
clicked.My tabs work but the problem I have is that the content of
all tabs loads when the page loads making it extremely slow.
I've got galleries in the tabs, tab1 2008 tab 2 2007 tab 3
2006 and photos in each gallery all load together.
On another site I did I managed to get it to load the images
in the tab when the user clicks on the tab speeding up initial load
times for the page but I can't remember how I did it, it was
accidental!!! -
Formatting tags in xml data set used for spry region
I am trying to put
,,,
tags in my xml data set but they cause the field to not load. For example I would like to create an xml file as follows:
<blog>
<blogentry>
<blogdate>Jan 2009</blogdate>
<blogtitle>January Blog</blogtitle>
<blogtext>
this is a paragraph

and so is this

</blogtext>
</blogentry>
</blog>
When I do this I don't get anything in the spry region. If I remove the
,
tabs it works.
Is there anyway to do this (not just with
but with any tags ... ie. tables, etc.).
Thanks/HalI have an online example:
http://www.pearlmanpr.com/perspective_test.html
The spBlog.xml file contains test junk. If I put the <[[CDATA.... inside the BlogEntry/BlogText tag it doesn't work at all.
http://www.pearlmanpr.com/perspective_test_2.html
If I use it without the <[[CDATA..]] it doesnt work either.
http://www.pearlmanpr.com/perspective_test_3.html
If I use it without any <> within the tag it sort of works (still needs to be aligned). -
I'm developing an interactive menu using the Spry and Ajax framework that lists the menu items on the left (in a Spry accordion) to a corresponding image and description on the right. I have the basic functionality working, however, my menu items are broken into sub categories, and I can't seem to get my XML file to separate these.
For an example of what I'm trying to do, visit here: http://bit.ly/g0RrU
As you can see, my menu is broken into sections; i.e. Tapas, Pizzas, Entrees...etc. Do I need to link a separate XML file to each of these sections, or can I simply make one more generation in my XML file.
For instance, could my XML file look like this:

<menu>
<tapas>

Fresh Tilapia Dip

<desc>Mesquite Smoked Fresh Fish w/ Tortilla Chips and Pickled Jalapenos $6.99</desc>

Jamaican Jerk Chicken Satay

<desc>Served with Pineapple Chutney w/ 101’s Spicy Tartar. $9.99</desc>

</tapas>
<pizzas>

Pizza1

<desc>description</desc> </pizzas>
</menu>
This is actually how it is currently set up, but when I link the XML file to a Spry region, it ignores the <tapas> and <pizzas> categories, and goes straight to the
. What's the best practice to achieve this menu effect?What version of Spry are you using? If you are going to work
Spry and AIR, you will need Spry 1.6.1 to work within AIR's
application sandbox. You can find the details here:
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/air.html
and a case study that shows what I had to do to make the
Photo Gallery work in AIR 1.0 here:

How to Display Repeat List In Spry Tab Content
Hello,
I am new to Spry. I thought I could just create an XML
dataset, Insert a Spry Tabbed Panel, and then insert a Spry repeat
list inside the Tabbed Content area of the Tabbed Panel. It is not
working at all for me. Is this doable at all? If so, how?
Thanks!hi,
i have created an example in http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44310:1:3623155419174978:::::

check, it may help you:)

Within one html file divided into Spry-tabs, I set a named
anchor in tab-content
of one tab and try to link to it
from within a different tab-content division of the same page.
Doesn't work - just sends me to bottom of division in the which
link is located. Surely this is doable -- Am I missing some simple
point?bob_atlanta wrote:

You have to know which tab the anchor is within and then you
can show a specific tab. Check out the code on this page:

Issue with using SSXA region templates with Content Presenter.
I am using Content Presenter taskflow in Webcenter Portal. When i try to use the SSXA region template with content presenter, it doesnot render the html markup. But if i use normal UCM region templates(hscp), its rendering the html markup properly.
Http Server acts as a proxy for both webcenter and ucm. Enabled SiteStudio, SiteStudioforExternalApplications, Webcenter Configure and other required features in Webcenter. Can any one tell me, if i missed any step?
All i am getting the output as
${data.body}
Taskflow binding
<taskFlow id="doclibcontentpresenter1"
taskFlowId="/oracle/webcenter/doclib/view/jsf/taskflows/presenter/contentPresenter.xml#doclib-content-presenter"
activation="deferred"
xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding">
<parameters>
<parameter id="taskFlowInstId"
value="${'23a55c99-abdd-4dea-a24a-1e04a68aa0bf'}"/>
<parameter id="datasourceType" value="${'dsTypeSingleNode'}"/>
<parameter id="datasource"
value="${'UCM#dDocName:JLR_WYSIWYG_DATA'}"/>
<parameter id="templateCategory" value="${''}"/>
<parameter id="templateView" value="${'WYSIWYG_BLOCK_1_RGT'}"/>
<parameter id="regionTemplate" value="${true}"/>
<parameter id="maxResults" value="${''}"/>
</parameters>
</taskFlow>
region template:

<jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
xmlns:wcm="http://www.oracle.com/jsp/wcm">
<wcm:dataFile var="data"/>
${data.body}
</jsp:root>
This uses one region definition containing WYSIWYG element. I am able to edit and could type the html markup or data in WYSIWYG editor at contribution mode, but when i click save and close, all i am getting output as ${data.body}
I manually verified the data file in UCM, and i could see the information stored (the data entered in contribution mode)Prasath,
I'm not 100% sure but i believe that WebCenter does not support everything from the WCM tags. You can read the topic on SSXA on the WebCenter EMG:
https://groups.google.com/group/webcenter-emg/browse_thread/thread/2ef9cca0252a0ae3
Just a quote:
"With the 11.1.1.4 release, WebCenter is very much targeted at the type of sites that would have previously been done using the WCM components (eg. Extranet, Internet sites). By surfacing the site studio region templates (and allowing in place editing of the documents) many of the use cases can be met. The question now is not whether,or not, the native templating + region support is sufficient for your needs (WebCenter does not support all the WCM artefacts as yet). "

Spry Tool tip on Tabbed panels
I am having a problem with the new spry tool tip widget. I
have a Tabbed panels table with 4 tabs. For some reason the spry
widget only works when I have 4 seperate div's with the tool tip
content and 4 separate js variables placed after the divs. One must
be on each tab. Is there any way to make it work so there is one
div and one variable creation on the page rather than 1 for each
panel?. heres how my code works:

TAB
1

TAB
2

TAB
3

TAB
4

<%=accesstxt
%>

<%=accesstxt
%>

Repeat two more times . You get the ideaSorry i just kinda threw that together as a mock up
id="blindMe" becomes id="blindMe2" and so on for each subsequent
use. I had already checked for that. The same thing goes for the
associated script variable. It works as is, i just dont want to
have to duplicate it.
The problem is, if i remove all the duplicated divs and
scripts, then place that script and div on the bottom of the page
after the
for the tabbed panels div, the hover state
no longer works. Same is true if i keep it within the

the only way it does work is if i duplicate it within each tabbed
panels content divs. (With different id values of course)

Batch import for filebased projects
Hi, When I try to batch import FCP automatically starts Log and capture. How do I change that for filebased(p2, red, xdcam) projects, so it starts log and transfer instead? Couldn't find anything in the manual... guess I'll look again. Virgil

Does the extreme take the place of my wireless router?
Hi, Does the Airport Extreme replace my wireless router or does it work off my existing wireless system? Will my Mac Mini also recognise it and allow my Mac Mini to be accessed on the wireless network?
