Issue with row id range position in jHeadstart.

Hi,
I have a range issue in jdev 10.1.3.1 version. The scenario is like i have an application where i have the records list in a table. Here we have an rangesize as "20" that has been configured in the pageDef file.
Then when we select an "ShowAll" option from the dropdown list and select an record say "75" and click on the detail button if goes to the detail page for that record. In the detail page i have an command link that takes me back to the original page.
After comes back to the original page,it is displaying the list of "20" records starting from the "75" to "95". Here i required to show the range of records "60-80"
with the "75" record selected in the select row radio button.
Any one please advise how to resolve?

Issue with ADF table range paging and sorting

We have a requirement to support pagination in ADF tables. For this, we have made use of Range paging access mode in the view object level. The paging works perfectly fine with this. But we have another requirement of letting the user do a sort on the table (Yes!! The paginated table). The sort should be applied on all rows in the db and the control should return to the first row.
Applying sort as it is provided by the fwk, sorts the records in the obtained range only. So we have over ridden the Sort listener in Managed bean for this and are able to acheive the sorting of all rows through a AM method call. We are seeing a problem after this. If the sort action is applied to the key attribute then the previous and next range navigation works fine. If the same action is applied to non-key field, then some times (yea!! This is not consistent) the next set is not fetched.
Here is the code snippet that is called on Next navigation:

Issue with row/column text lengths in report painter

Hi Gurus,
I have created a report painter report with formatting of the row/column length text as medium, but for one FS item/GL Account the report when executed still picks up only the short text length. I am not sure how this can be resolved.
Any ideas is appreciated.

m working on a report where I want Position values as on date.
for an entered date report should give position value(Amount for transaction) for each class Id.
I m trying using the exit variable but could not reach the output.
For date I created an exit variable which shoud return the latest position for each class Id.
Now this exit variable is "ready for Input" . when I debug my code it takes i_step =3 and i_vanm= " " after i_step = 1 and i_vnam = "<variablename>"
how do I go about to get the solution.
Guide me to come up with desired output.

Issue with row selection in VO

I have the following piece of code in my method,
OAViewObjectImpl myVO = this.getMyVO();
Row myVOCurrentRow = myVO.getCurrentRow();
The corresponding VO is getting executed and I have the row in my database.
Now the issue is, sometimes myVO.getCurrentRow() returns me the correct row instance while sometimes it is returning me null.
when I do myVO.first() it always returns me the correct row but I am not supposed to change this piece of code.
WHat can be the issue?

Where does your code reside? : Dint get it
Under which circumstances is the code called? : I am running LRGs to test this method. I am dumping the data into db. To get data in this VO, I am executing it's parent VO which should automatically run this child VO. The regular code is working from UI but while testing through LRGs, or say while calling this method from back-end, it is causing issue.
Which technologies do you use in general for the application? : ADF Framework.
From your statement I don't see a 'weirdly' behavior. A VO doesn't have a current row at all points of time. This depends on some facts like if the VO is used on a page and you are just rendering the page. In this case the framework sets the first row as current row. If the VO is not used in the page there is no current row when you execute the query. To set the current roe, you have to navigate the VO (e.g. call first() on it). -->
I think this is the issue, because I am running this application from back-end. What else can I do before callin gthis method to make sure that this does not happen. My LRG code doesnot allow me to initiate this VO separately. I can only call this method after.

Issue with Row repeater

Hi All,
I am using a row repeater UI element to display the results of search. Once the results are displayed the user can navigate to a different page in the row repeater. Lets say the user navigates to page 5. Now when the user goes back and modifies the selection criteria, the row repeater still displays page 5. This time there might be no data in page 5. How can we go back to first page.

I didnt see any method available in the CL_WD_ROW_REPEATED to reset it. Alternative what I can think of is to reset the view elements. But I'm not sure whether this will have impact on you other UI elements. May be you can try this
1. create a member variable in Attributes tab (MR_VIEW) of type ref to IF_WD_VIEW
2. in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW, write the following code
if first_time = abap_true.
wd_this->mr_view = view.
endif.
3. in the search method or in the event handler method for search, call reset_view
wd_this->mr_view->reset_view( ).
this method will reset all the UI elements in the view
other alternative would be to place the Row_Repeater in a transparent container. And during search delete the old row repeater and create a new one and bind the data source.

Issue with range number at VF02 when releasing to accounting

Hi Gurus,
We have an issue with the number range at VF02 when releasing the invoice to accounting.
Error message is "For object RF_BELEG E178, number range interval 6A does not exist FBN1"
But when entering tx-FB1N for Company code E178 , it is not clear where range interval 6A is set for number range assignment.
Where is the range interval entered in sales so accounting document is generated?

you can do it in FBN1 also.

Porblem with WGXB102 (wireless range extender) and imac

Everytime my imac sleeps it can't access the internet using the WGXB102, however I can switch directly to the router with my old setup and the internet works. The only way I get the extender to work is to reset the main netgear router. How can I get the extender to work after the computer goes to sleep?

Yes there are some issues with the Wireless Range Extender version 3.0 ...related to IP Conflict ... but they can be resolved by upgrading the firmware of the Range Extender .....
You can use Range Extedner version 2.0 & 3.0 ....

Performance issues with Motion (position, scale, rotate) and GTX 590

I'm experiencing performance issues with my Premiere Pro CC when I scale, position or rotate a clip in the program monitor.
I have no performance issues with playback! It's only, when i move something with the mouse or by changing the x,y-values of Position in the Motion-Dialog in video effects.
Premiere then lags terribly and updates the program monitor only about once per second - this makes it very difficult and cumbersome to work and position things.
On a second Premiere installation on my laptop, performance is fine and fluid - allthough it doesn't have GPU support and is a much slower computer.
I'm pretty sure this has somehow to do with my graphic card, which is a Nvidia GTX 590.
I was told by the support, that it is actually a dual graphic card, which is not supported/liked by Premiere.
The thing is, until the latest Premiere update, I did not have performance issues at all with this card.
I also read on the forum that others with the GTX 590 did not experience any problems with it
So where does this come from?
There is no change in performance whether or not I activate Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration.
I also tried deactivating one of the 2 gpus, but there also was no change.
Does anyone else know this problem and has anyone a solution?

I am suffering from the same phenomenon since I updated just before christmas, I think.
I am hardly able to do scaling, rotating and translating in the program monitor itslef - whil motion has been highlighted in teh effect controls.
In the effect controls I can scale, rotate etc however.
Also I have noticed there is a yellow box with handles in teh program monitor. I remember it was white before.
I cannot figure out what to change in my preferences. What has happened?

CSV creation through PLSQL having issue with some rows of data

-around 20 fileds in a row

IPad 2 WiFi Range Issues (but not issues with connectivity when in range)

Okay. I hate to start a new thread when there are bunches of threads on the iPad 2 having WiFi problems (particularly with 5Ghz networks and also related to 4.3). Nonetheless, I'm not seeing anyone talking about range in these forums.
Issue: iPad 2 WiFi range is not as far as iPad 1 (with no cover on either).
Alternative Explanation: iPad 2 has difficulty connecting to Airport Express or Time Capsule extended networks.
Devices: iPad 2 3g, iPad 1 3g (iOS 4.3), iPhone 3gs (iOS 4.3), iPhone (iOS 3.2x), iMac, MacBook Pros, etc.
Network Router: Simultaneous Dual-Band Airport Extreme (latest version) set up with 2.4, 5 ghz and Guest Networks (each with their own name).
Network Extender: Airport Express (latest version) extending the 2.4 ghz network
Network Extender 2: Time Capsule (original, single band) extending the 2.4 ghz network
Longer Description: iPad 2 connected without an issue to the 5 ghz network and the 2.4 ghz network when it was in the same room as the Aiport Extreme. Didn't have any issues maintaining that connection.
However, the iPad 2 doesn't work in any of the farther rooms and can't see the network. iPad 1 and iPhones have no issues (and typically show 1 or two bars). I believe they typically are connecting through the Airport Express (but it could be the Time Capsule).
Given that the iPad 2 isn't even seeing the networks, I'm guessing it's a range issue, but hoping it's not.
Anyone else seeing this? Any fixes?

While it is possible that an Apple moderator (Apple host) could pass some information to an Apple development/support group, in practice this doesn't really seem to happen (at least often). I believe that the moderators are kept quite busy just administering the forums and keeping them under control (no spam, ads, abuse, etc.). I've never seen a post by an Apple host here or seen a technical correction to a post (and there is certainly a lot of incorrect information posted here).
Unfortunately, a lot of new posters here seem to think that they are talking directly to Apple and post bug reports, feature suggestions, complaints, etc. These would be much better submitted via the Apple feedback vehicle at http://www.apple.com/feedback. These are not anonymous, are directed to the appropriate product and provide an email contact for Apple to get back to the submittor if more detail is required.

Issue with empty value of LOV of first row after clicking on add row button

JDeveloper 11.1.14
I have a page with table-form layout.
In the form I have two detail tables on the same page (tabbed).
I have an issue with using model-choicelist LOV's in the detail tables.
I am able to add a new row in the detail table, select a value from the model-choiceList LOV (which is required) and save the new row.
After adding another row in this table the value of the model-choiceList LOV in the previous row is suddenly empty on the screen. It is not empty in the database,
I have checked it in the datbase. Only the value of the LOV of the first row on the page is being cleared after clicking on the add row button.
After saving the new row I get the following error on the screen:
Error: a selection is required. --> first row
Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this issue?

It is not empty in the database, Is the complete LOV blank or only the selected value .. can you try putting autoSubmit=true in the LOV and try ? Also check if you have any partialTriggers on the LOV from the add button ?

Role reconciliation issue with user ID in acting (HDA) position

Hi all,
I am experiencing an issue with my role reconciliation for user who is in a HDA (acting) position. This user has a 008 relationship to her own position and a A081 relationship to the position she is acting in. Roles are assigned to these 2 positions.
After the programme PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY has been run, I would assume the user to acquire the roles assigned to the HDA position and lose the roles assigned to her in her original position. However, this isn't the case.
I am just wondering whether anyone else has encountered this issue and know of a solution to this.

Before PFUD takes place, change of assignment should be done in PA40(automatically or manually depending on your setup).

SPEL in Extended VO - Issue with Multiple Rows

Hi,
I have extended a seeded VO by adding a new attribute *'Course_Flag'* with attribute type 'Boolean' and Query Column type 'VARCHAR2' and i wa successfully able to personalize and view the data of the new attribute *'Course_Flag'* in the page as ('true' / 'false') aacording to the query where clause.
Now after adding a new image with SPEL property as *${oa.LearnerCatalogCoursesVO.Course_Flag}* it will have an issue with multiple items.
I mean the SPEL will take the first row value 'true' / 'false' and will be corrected rendered according to the value of the first row and ignore other rows values.
Example: if the *'Course_Flag'* value of the first row is 'true' then all the images will be rendered and if the *'Course_Flag'* value of the first row is 'false' then all the images will be NOT rendered.
Please advise if I've missed any step.

Issues with Advance Table Add Row New Row not work in some scenarios.

Hi,
Wondering if there's any issue with Advanced Tables where it does not create any rows. I don't know if anyone tried this or not. I have one OA Page with Advanced Table and a button that when clicked open a new OA Page in a POP-UP Window. The pop-up page conatins one textbox where u enter a data and this gets saved in one of the VO's transient attribute. Now on the ase page if you don't click a button to open a pop-up page you can Add New Rows in the Advanced Table by clicking Add Row Button. But as soon as you open a popup window and close it Add New Rows button doesn't work and is not creating any new rows. Basically page stops working. Both the POP-UP and the base page share the same AM but have different controllers.
POP-UP page is a custom page that I open giving the Destination URI value in the button item and target frame _blank.
I even tried creating rows programmatically for Advance Table but this too doesn't work once u open a pop-up. Also I have used pageContext.putTransactionValue in the pop-up page and am checking and removing this in the base page.
