Issues with downloading Adobe Flash Player. Help!
I just updated OS X Mountain Lion and I'm having issues with Adobe Flash Player. I have tried downloading it several times but it hasn't taken and won't let me view any videos. How can I get it to work?

Once Downloaded, and I go to a website that requires the use of Adobe Flah Player, It says that I need Adobe Flash Player. I have downloaded it again and again. It says the same thing. Does anyone know what causes this problem and how to fix it?

I have followed your instruction on downloading Adobe Flash Player but the final screen comes up with Blocked Plug-in so back to square one? Help?
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’.

I can't watch YouTube videos on my brand new MacBook Pro with Lion. It says I need to download Adobe Flash Player but that won't install. Help!
The same thing happens to me, Safari asks me to update the Adobe FlasPlayer, I download, start the installation process, ask me my username and password in order to install, then see a window where I choose if I want to always install the updates , or ask first, or not inslate updates, and at this point it is not progress, I can not cancel the process, I turn off and turn on my machine.
What can I do ..??

How do I download Adobe Flash Player on my MacBook Pro? It says that I have to disable my antivirus software but I never installed one. Does it come with the Mac in the first place? If so, how can I disable it or get Adobe Flash Player?
That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 7. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
You might have to log out or reboot before a Flash update takes effect.
Step 2
In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
Close the window. Then select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.
Step 3
If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, log in to YouTube and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
Step 4
If you get a warning of a "blocked" or "outdated" plug-in, then from the menu bar select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch the browser.
If the warning persists, triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open. Inside it, there should be a file named "XProtect.meta.plist". If that file is missing and you know why it's missing, restore it from a backup or copy it from another Mac running the same version of OS X. Otherwise, reinstall OS X.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select

from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Step 5
Open this folder as in Step 4:

Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
Step 6
Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from the domain "get.adobe.com". Don't click a link from any other website, including this one, because you can't trust links. They may be an attempt to trick you into installing malware masquerading as Flash. Type the address into the browser window. Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
Step 7
If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
Then click the button marked
Manage Website Settings...
if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.
Step 8
Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them. -

Everytime I try to download Adobe Flash Player I am told to disconnect Internet Explore; I've gone through the routine of Internet Options to allow a download but I still encounter the disconnect message. If the video is only available in a format that requires Flash player : then no.
However, a great many can also be viewed in an HTML5 version, in which case http://hoyois.github.io/safariextensions/clicktoplugin/ or similar can be set up so that Flash never runs unless you specifically choose it to. -

A bar is supposed to come up, when I'm trying to download Adobe Flash Player. The bar is supposed to have an option to 'Allow' the download. The programme is being blocked and is not downloading, but the bar doesn't come up, so I'm unable to enable its download.
The instructions you are referring to are out of date and not the ideal way to install / update Flash.
Instead:
# Download (save to your desktop) http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe
# Download http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
# Close Firefox
# Run uninstall_flash_player.exe, click through to uninstall any old versions of Flash
# Run install_flash_player.exe to install Flash.
