It kept bugging me so I upgraded to ITunes 10.4.1. Now I can't get any sound from the internal speakers or my headphones. Any ideas?
I'm using a Macmini with Snow Leopard. Everything is up-to-date according to the software updates manager. Can I go back to the previous version? I work from home and have very noisy neighbors so my music allows me to stay focused. Thanks for any suggestions.
Two suggestions:
1. Check iTunes volume (the slider left of the progress bar). It's separate from the system volume.
2. Often, speaker problems can be resolved by resetting your computer's PRAM. This explains how: Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

That sounds like the library update may be choking on a content file or files. Tracking down which file or files is causing the grief can be a trial, but the "Check for content files with issues" section from the following document may be of some assistance:

I upgraded to iTunes 10.5 and now I can't back up iTunes library to disc. In previous versions it was in file>library>backup to disc. In iTunes 10.5 that is gone!
Some of us have our enture itunes library backed up on CD/DVD - what a waste of time and effort as now presumably you can't use these discs to restore itunes on a new computer! WHY NOT APPLE?
Very unimpressed with itunes 10.5/ios5 - wifi tracking apps have been removed from the store (and won't function in ios5), it's impossible to sync photos (I have spent a whole day trying to sync my iphone 3GS with itines 10.5) to no avail and now, no CD backup facility.
I have never had problems with apple before - I was thinking of upgrading my whole system from PC to Mac but now I am doubtful - if this is typical of apple software, I will stay with windows! -
RV042 - I have customer who upgraded to 20 meg cable internet service and can only get 10 meg thru the router. The customer had upgrade to a 20 meg cable internet service from a 10 meg service. The customer is only able to get the 20 meg service going from cable modem to PC. If he goes thru the RV042 router, he is only getting up to 10.7 down and 1.37 up. Additional steps taken….He had a Linksys SRW224P switch connected to the RV042 router and we had disconnected this switch for testing purposes. We performed the speed test again and we get the same speed results so we know the switch is not the issue.He had upgraded to firmware version 1.3.12.19 – TM Feb 13, 2009 – tested speed and no change.We accessed the web management interface and tried several modifications. This includes the following…..- We disabled the firewall – no change- We disabled SPI with is the Stateful Packet Inspection (I was thinking this one would do it) – no change in speed.- We disabled DoS (Deny of Service) – no change.- We set MTU to Manual and tested various byte increments based on MTU ping testing. – Once again, no change in speed. He is NOT using Load balancing on the routerHe has NO access rules but does have a few port forwards. Finally, with each change, he is saving the changes on the router.
You are expecting 20MB throughput on a $150 router? Well, ok, maybe.. Can you check on your router or switch if the port is set or auto negotiated to 10 or 100? That could explain 10MB limit (although technically a 10Mb port is considered 20Mb theoretical max throughput as 100Mb port is considered 200Mb per Cisco). So maybe you ended up with 10/half somehow? MTU 1500 would also be good for that connection I think and to try to get max throughput.

Yesterday, having taken considerable time, effort and money I upgraded Pages, Numbers and Keynote. All because I have just bought an iPad and couldn't transfer files unless I got a newer version of Pages!
Now I can't get "Save As" in Pages. It will only show "Save a Version".
Haven't a clue what has happened and would like to get Save as - as in the past.
Help! What to do?I don't think you lose anything going from Lion to Mountain Lion. Lion just seems "unfinished" to me. I don't have Lion on any Mac. I do have one running Snow Leopard & a couple of PPC Macs running Tiger.
The only way to upgrade to Mountain Lion is to purchase it in the Mac App Store. -

2. Rearrange songs within a play list by just dragging them to where I want them.
Did Apple really kill these features or is there a just a different way of doing it now?Ok, I've been researching this for quite some time today and found a thread in which there was a similar issue and it looks like its related to the use of a Wacom tablet. I plugged in a normal mouse and I can now move songs around freely within my playlists again. Hopefully Apple fixes this annoying little bug soon.

I've tried everything: I looked at my audio settings (but I had no idea what I was doing), I tried to repair the file, and I even resorted to deleting it and reinstalling it, BUT NOTHING WILL WORK.

I upgraded to itunes 10.5 and now the store will not open.
The bar goes about halfway (between the "g" and "I" in accessing Itunes store) and stops. I can see words and hyperlinks in the store, but no pictures. Have tried several of the fixes listed here, but so far none have been effective. Anyone know what fix is best. I am at my wits end and do not have the patience to go through every fix.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -

You can't. iCloud is not for general file backup from a Mac. It's for backup up and syncing data between mobile devices and and Macs and The following is from this Apple document: iCloud: Backup and restore overview.

I have had the same problem as yours on my Ipad after upgraded Procreate 2.01. My iOS is 7.04. I tried to find solution from internet for weeks. Fortunately, the problem was resolved a few minutes ago. It is very simple,
1. Lunch outlook.com to confirm you can access hotmail mailbox. It means your account is Ok.
2. Go to setting>Mail,Contacts,Calendars.Delete your hotmail account from your device.(my device is Ipad)
3. Turn off your device, then turn on again.
4. Go to setting>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and create your hotmail account by tap outlook.com. Be sure the incoming mail server is pop3.live.com.
5. Waiting for validation.
