ITouch screen frozen

I updated my 3rd gen iTouch & now the screen is frozen.
The diagnostic test says the iTouch is not connected, but it is.
I was able to turn it off by prssing the power switch & home together.
Now it show a picture of a cable going to iTunes.
The iTouch does not show up in iTunes.
It's like ti cannot recognize it.

Try manually placing the iPod in recovery mode and then try restore the iPod via iTunes. For recovery mode see:

Next try placing the iPod in DFU mode and then restoring.

IPad started acting up, so I reset and now all I get is the apple icon and I can't even turn it off screen frozen and has been for about 18 hours

iPad started acting up, would not open books, screens come up that I never touched etc. so I did a reset, the apple icon showed up and has been on now for about 18 hours I can't even turn it off I plugged in in over night but still screen frozen? Any suggestions?

You have a router that assigns IP addresses in sequential order.
Always turn your devices on in the exact same order and you will avoid the message.
It is not a serious problem.
If your router supports DHCP reservations based on MAC address of the devices that will resolve the problem.

Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

I don't know why your iGoogle page that worked with 3.6 would not work with 4.0. I assume iGoogle is important, but to get you some use of the browser, you might want to switch to a blank (or some other) home page.
Try starting up from a link (e.g., in a document, PDF, or email message) or a shortcut (e.g., something you have saved on your desktop or something in your IE Favorites folder. Once you hit that page, go to
Tools > Options > General
and change your home page.
Hopefully you can solve the iGoogle problem. If not and you want to roll back to Fx 3.6:
First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 4, and uninstall it. Do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Then finally you can reinstall Firefox 3.6. Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, it should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

Try to double click the home button then upswipe the app closed. If that doesn't work a reset will. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Release both fingers. Wait 15-20 seconds until your iPad starts on it's own.
