ITunes 7.7 deleted all my datas - Help
Hi,
I just installed iTunes 7.7 and it deleted all my music and videos on my Touch. The problem is that iTunes says that my iPod is still full, so when I want to sync it, it says I have not enough memory. What can I do ?

What i found is a temporary solution. When you boot your PC and you see the startup screen with the windows logo, plug in your iPod. Dont do it before that because then your PC wont boot. Once Windows is loaded it should open iTunes and detect your iPod Nano properly.

After having experienced similar problems and having it back to work, I have a few suggestions:
- Try to find out if the syncing stops at a particular track or song. That might - out of the blue - have gotten corrupted in one way or another. Since that song will not be on the iPod, iTunes will try over and over to put it on and crash in one way or another;
- reformat the iPod as described in the iTunes 9 crash-thread. It takes time (at first it seems to do nothing, but that is because the green bar is moving with very small steps);

i didnt set up "find my iphone", how can i locate it? if cant, how can i delete all phone data by itunes on my computer?

Do you mean iTunes library?
iTunes account is what you use to make iTunes purcahses.
iTunes library is what is on your computer.
It says my phone can only be set up woth one itunes account. How do I remove the previous account?
No, it tells you it can only be sync'd with one iTunes library.
Simplest way is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder (thisis the iTunes library) from old computer to new computer. -
Help: iTunes wants to delete all my music and videos off of my iPhone!
I usually keep the option to manually manage music and videos on my iPhone. I only use 1 pc to transfer music and movies to and from my iPhone. Recently for some reason when I launched iTunes, an error message kept poping up repeatedly saying "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved." I fixed the error message by adjusting the user access privileges to my music folder.
Now my music library is completely empty in iTunes, but that shouldn't be a problem because I manually manage my music and videos. However, when I checked the iPhone page in iTunes, the checkbox for manually manage music and videos is unchecked.
So I went to go check the check box so that I can continue to add some more music and videos to my iPhone, however a message box pops up saying:
"The iPhone "my iPhone" is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?"
I have about 12 gigs worth of music and videos which I have carefully hand picked over a period of about 3 months and now iTunes wants to delete all of it because it thinks I want to "sync with another library". I only hope someone can understand how frustrating this is for me. All I want to do is continue to be able to add music and videos to my iPhone without having to erase months worth of work putting the current music I have on there. I don't like the way iTunes reorganizes my songs and I keep all my music in my own self organized music folders as I don't use iTunes as my primary media application. Not to mention allot of my files come from all different corners of my computer's hard drive. It would literally take months to go through over 20 gigs of media files to pick out the songs I have in my iPhone library to rebuild an iTunes library. Like i said, I don't even use iTunes other than to transfer files to my iPhone. What I don't understand is logically or technically why iTunes HAS to delete all the content off of my iphone. Who's decision in the Apple's software engineering department was to require the one's iPhone to be erased if someone loses their iTunes library? Its frustrating because it makes no sense and I feel as if the software is punishing me for reasons I don't understand by threatening to delete all my content off my phone. Is there absolutely no way to transfer my music to my iPhone without deleting everything currently on and completely rebuilding my music library from scratch? -
I tried to add music from my sons ITunes, instead it deleted all my information and replaced it with all my sons info can I get my information back on my phone? HELP
Each Apple ID has it's own library in iTunes. If you tried to sync his music to your device, then it will not only wipe your information on your phone, but can affect your sons. Make sure you are logged into iTunes with your Apple ID and restore your device from a previous backup.

When I plug in iPhone (5.1.1) to computer, playlists show up on the iPhone (when plugged in), that do not appear when it is not plugged in. And I can't erase them. I have iTunes match, and deleted all my music on the iPhone, but that had no effect on the phantom playlist that shows up on the PC when I plug in the iPhone to the PC. I cannot manually move songs or playlists from the PC to the iPhone

I got the new iPhone5 back in Dec, I hooked it up to my computer for the 1st time this wk. It deleted all new data added since Dec (notes,contacts,texts,pics, info added to apps) and reverted back to all my old data (literally uploaded all of my old texts and 1400 old pics and deleted anything new). How can I retrieve all the lost data?? Please help!!

First time IPod owner who loaded 1,800 songs most of which had bad info (ie: wrong genre, artist showing as title, etc.) I've spent hours making changes in ITunes trying to get them right. I am having troubles connecting my IPod to ITunes and the online support says I need to reinstall ITunes. I looked back at the "music" folder where the files are stored and none of the changes that I made in ITunes show there. So again I ask:

but, it's best to insure against disaster and back up your music files and library files prior to an upgrade. (actually, it's best to have a regular backup regime even if you aren't planning on upgrading.) this Buegie post is a good resource on those matters:

My provider is terminating email service so I had to change my apple ID. I did that in iTunes but now my icloud on my PC wants me to sign in under my old id, I don't see a way to update to the new ID without deleting all cloud data on the PC. Is there another way so I don't have to resync everything from the cloud?

If you already have or don't need a backup:
Erase your device
Erasing all content and settings will delete all the data from your device, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All device settings are restored to their factory condition.
To remove all settings and information from your device, tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. For more information about this feature, see iOS: Understanding 'Erase All Content and Settings'.
If you are unable to erase your device, restore the device using iTunes.

Somebody has or know a script that delete all the data (but not the tables) of the database???? I have dummy data and know I need the tables clean of data.

JavierYou could truncate all the tables with the following commandTRUNCATE TABLE <table_name>;This will delete all the data in the table while keeping the table structure, contraints, indexes, triggers, etc. intact so they wont have to be rebuilt. All foreign keys must be disabled to use the TRUNCATE command.

For general library squiffiness following an upgrade the easiest thing is to restore your last backup, but I guess if it were that simple you wouldn't be here.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps youshouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

currently my iphone and my ipad share data in my icloud account. if i click to turn off my back up and delete all backup data, what will happen? will i lose everything on my ipad, or will it just no longer be stored in icloud?
It will only delete your backup from iCloud.

There is an option to delete the account, but then it says it will delete all my data, which I dont want to happen.
When you delete icloud account off your phone it will ask you if you want to keep or delete the data. You will choose to keep and will be ok. The only thing that will reset is photostream, so if that is a concern, back up your pictures.
